P905VVRSBPL1 problem with csc change - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!!! My Father bought Samsung 12.2(P905VVRSBPL1) 5.1.1 from USA but he live in Poland and he is using tablet as car navigation so i need to change csc. I already try to change firmware (secure check fail) root (no chance to root) and now i try to downgrade it to android 4.4 kitkat with firmware rom "P905VVRUANE4" but still fail with "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 2 > Binary 1".
What I can do to change CSC??

Hi, i can only explain you why you can't go back to android 4.4.
Samsung has instored a security option with flash. You can only upgrade version or flash same firmware's version.
The only way i found for this is to restore with smart switch but, SS will restore the last firmware ( 5.1.1 for now ....).
You have a P905V, i don't know if we have a different software version with the poland P905. Even if it's same, you have to flash the poland version.
But there are no more recent verison of Poland when i check on sammobile.
Then you can't flash it i think. But i'm not sur. If someone can confirm or dismiss what i said about Poland firmware

P905V = the big V means Verizon. And since there is no Verizon in Poland you wont find any other firmwares for this Country. You can use Hotspot or Wi-Fi, you won't get data or lte, never.

i just want to have polish CSC or polish language, no need lte. . so maybe any other method to do this ??? i try root but no chance for P905VVRSBPL1.

Then you need to sell your P905V and buy a P905. No other way. This is the reason why p905v are much cheaper then p905. Because you can use it only with Verizon. Or with Wi-Fi. You could use your phone as a hotspot and connect to tablet via Wi-Fi .
I don't know maybe there is a method to root p905v on 5.0.2. Then you could use language enabler from play store. If you are on 5.1.1 then there is no root method. Downgrade also doesn't work so you have 2 choices 1. Sell it 2.hotspot it.

Just did a bad flash and was going to Odin back to stock, and lookie do, what do I find in the General forum.
If it's carrier branded, so be it, I'll survive that...

I also had an issue with flashing it. After flashing the firmware, flash the pit and you will be ready. Just wipe data after that

I'm downloading the Netherlands version (I presume you used the German one) and try without the .pit and wipe, if it doesn't work - then shall I apply the .pit.
Do these carrier branded firmwares include lots of bloatware?
Edit: Flashing right now, and uploading the Netherlands to MEGA.

TNL has a fair bit of bloatware, but nearly all can be deleted. About 7-9, I believe. The My T-mobile app and Travel&Surf app are not relevant to the actual network functions (they're Dutch-only account apps) and can be safely deleted.
Should be a few other Dutch junk apps as well, such as scoupy and HRS hotels. If you find an app but you're not sure what it is, I can probably tell you. (And if not, I can ask the dev team.)
Oh, it does have a very annoying startup jingle. Mind the volume if you reboot at night

Can you please confirm if this is a no-wipe and did you need a pit file as well? I have BOB6, but Wi-Fi takes like 30 seconds just to turn on and it's driving me crazy I don't want to go back to defaults right now. Thank you.

TNL is build from PHN, which is the same size as BTU. You shouldn't need a pitfile if you're on an Unbranded western EU rom.
It's non-wipe.

So seems like Unbranded to Branded is a no go. Flashed back Poland Unbranded BOB6 and phone is now booting.
VoLTE
Does this ROM have VoLTE, like the previous version (OC3)? BOB6 doesn't, and some say Samsung opted to enable VoLTE only for some countries (for which OC3 was created).
what is the exact changelog?

I said Unbranded Western EU ROM. XEO always has size issues with western ROMS, particularly DBT/BTU/PHN/XEF (which are basically all the same).

My phone's default is DBT (Germany), then flashed with the Unbranded 5.0 Poland as even to this date there is no released DBT 5.0 firmware. Anyway, no harm was done.
I am on Poland unbranded BOB6 5.0 right now.
If I intend to flash this directly with the PIT file, will I lose all my files?
Which PIT file should i use to upgrade from the Polish BOB6 to this? I've tried both PITs mentioned on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/finally-official-5-0-firmware-galaxy-t3029557 (page 114) to no avail.

Update for SM-P905 (baseband no: P905XXUANA7 build no: P905XXUANC3) ?

Hi guys,
Am I mistaken or is this the last samsung note pro in the known universe to receive an update to lollipop? I understand it's been a long wait for all note pro users. Does anyone here have an idea when this particular model SM-P905 (baseband no: P905XXUANA7 build no: P905XXUANC3) will receive an update?

I guess you don't have to flash a specific firmware since you have the international 905 model !!
Mine was from italy and i flashed UAE firmware without problems !!

Oh. I feel so newb (And I'm a tech guy...awkward....lol). Mine is running stock kitkat (4.4.2). I rooted it a while back, but so far, have not flashed it with any rom. Correct me if I'm wrong - international version means that all the LTE/radio bands are unlocked? I can't flash it with Deodex.Root.Xposed, as I'm not running stock lollipop. Which rom did u flash yours with?
Chris
You should be able to use Odin to flash any of the released 905 version lollipop updates from sammonbile. You will lose your root however.

Thanks for the link, however, I live in Australia, so according to sammobile, there's no lollipop firmware for this country:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-P905/XSA/
Since your going to flash it yourself just choose any region (pick one thats on 5.1.1) and flash that. Then just change the language and time zone settings during set up and you should be good to go. Many US customers with the 905 used this method when other countries were getting the original 5.0.1 update before them. Worked fine.

Thanks for the info. Cool. I'll keep an eye out for 5.1.1. If I'm not mistaken, most are 5.0.2 at the moment, except AT&T.

Fail to Upgrade SM-G920I (Spark) to 6.0.1

Hi Guys,
I've bought a Galaxy S6 (SM-G920i) on B&H unlocked, and it comes with an Australian firmware (SPARK) 5.1.1.
I've downloaded an unbranded firmware from sam, but I can't installed. It has failed before instalation begins.
Has this firmware (SPARK) any kind of lock that can't allow me to install an unbranded firmware? I want to stay with the phone stock and with an unbranded version of 6.0.1.
If anyone can give me a clue, I'll really appreciate it!
Regards,
Power

check your csc, it may need to be changed if spark has not as yet released a 6.0.1 upgrade.

Thanks for your reply Cosmic! I'm trying to push the firmware via Odin. I think CSC should not a problem at this point. I can't understand why I can't flash an stock firmware via Odin. I'm starting to think that it has any kind of lock.
Anyone had the same experience than me?

It is possible. I also installed the V20A SEA and my H990DS ARE does not start. I downloaded the V20a TW and noticed that the file is 2.85 GB and the V20a SEA is 2.8 GB
I went back to 7.0 with LG Bridge and tonight I will try the V20a TW.
Just got it installed iam also in australia with a taiwan variant...lots to go through one thing i dont like is you cannot seem to hide the home buttons on thw home screen.
Thwy dissapering on apps booting up but not on home screen.
Ive installed on the indian variant....Ram management is pathetic...in idle its 75% used...and using cleaning apps is not letting it to clear the ram.
I would roll back to 7.0 and use it....Except for the UI, i dont find any much difference in the device performance.....
I would wait for indian update...cus JIO VOLTE stopped working in this rom
Can I flash any of these KDZs on my AME variant?

I am from IDN (Indonesian), and I am able to using the SG (Singapore) version without any hassle
Ok, I downloaded the TWN variant...and it works! Haven't done much other than boot and look at the software version, but it is there!
Does anyone know yet what will happen if the ota update is applied on a rooted device?
Like will just root be gone or also TWRP

Question Change Country in EUX csc

Hello, I have an s22 ultra here in Germany that was apparently intended for the Spanish market. I have the EUX csc on it and I want to change my country to Germany for Samsung Pay to work. At the moment he always downloads the international pay app and unfortunately I can't set up my bank there. I found a way to do this with the Alliance app, but unfortunately the app no longer works because the Knox license has been revoked. Anyone know of another way to change the country?
Here is the app
Try with alliance shieldpro app. It requires donation and works only of first installed under android 12 then updated to 13
OK thanks for the answer. That means I now flash with Odin Android 12 EUX and install the Shield App pro and then i change the appropriate place with alliance app and save it. Then do I Flash the latest firmware or OTA and it should work?
Workes like a Charme now. Thank you very much
Edit: Can you tell me whether the setting I made remains if I flash it with Odin, for example?

Hi, i have an S22+ and is EUX CSC but the Country is Hungary, so Samsung Pay doesn't work. I want to change to my country Spain. I try to do a csc change with Samfw tool, but when I change it again to EUX the HU country appears again. There is no specific csc for Spain so I think the csc should be EUX, but unable to change Country.
I'm looking for Alliance shield app to change country option but I'm in Android 13 so its not supported because Knox. Do you make the country change successfully?? Did you downgrade to Android 12 before?? Do you know if this downgrade trip Knox warranty??
Thanks!
Yes I downgrade to android 12 last firmware for the 22 Ultra via Odin then I installed shield app and changr the country like in the Video above. Then Update from Smartphone to Android 13 and finish.
Edit: But you nee the paid version from the app ... you can get it on their discord

No Knox on my device its a official firmware no problems
So after the downgrade knox remains in 0 value. From where you download the official firmware? And you could indicate the steps to downgrading?
I don't know if better to wait Alliance app will be compatible with Android 13 to do the change...
