Hi,
I'm using the S160 Android based multimedia system for vehicles.
The screen mode is landscape only for obvious reasons.
Some apps don't show well in landscape mode, I'm wondering if there's a way to force some app to run in portrait mode although the screen is landscape only.
I now that if it will be possible I will have blacks on the sides and that I will loose a lot of screen realestat...
Additional queation, is there any application for running 2 apps side by side for Android 4.4.4 some kind of split screen.
Thanks!

I do the same thing here's what I'm using I just set it to Portrait force and then I just toggle it on and off when I need.
I suppose you can set it per app but I haven't tried that yet ...let me know what you come up with...

Hi =),
I'm using a transformer but I have a poor eyesight (handicap), and the zoom option inside apps is really awesome to me. But most of apps now handle the tablets screens and disallow this zoom feature.
So the question is, is there a way to always force this option to be displayed ? A hack inside the sources is possible ?
I really think it will be so helpfull for all people in my case =)

Thank you in advance for you help
you can use an lcd density changer such as
https://market.android.com/details?...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImx2Lm4zby5sY2RkZW5zaXR5Il0.
If you have root
Interesting ! But with a lower resolution, android enter in "phone mode" and you lose the "menu" bar with back, and home buttons etc. Not really what I expected^^.
Thank you anyway!
yes at a point it goes to gingerbread mode but you can still make things quite a bit larger before it switches
I know this is a dumb issue, but it's what's missing to make my S6 perfect (well, aside from a GPE rom, but that's another issue...)
I ping pong rooted my S6, enabled softkeys, disabled back and recent capacitive keys. The only thing is... when using the stock camera app, a small part of it (including the shutter) gets behind part of the softkey.
Is there a way to hide the softkeys with some apps (Nexus usually do that) or a stock camera app with different dpi?
Edit: To e more precise, what is necessary is to make camera app work in immersive mode...
Thanks in advance,

Yo can activate expanded desktop (with Gravitybox for example) before open the camera app. I had the same problem and it's the best fix I found
I never had the buttons stay on the screen all the time until just a few minutes ago. I was playing a game and they all of a suddenly popped up and now they won't go away. What did I do and how do I remove the buttons? I used to just swipe to pull up the bar and now it is there all the time.
Are you running stock or a custom rom?
Stock rooted using Franko kernel.

It's at the bottom of every app now. I was right in the middle of playing Dawn of Titans, which plays in widescreen, when the buttons appeared and stay there all the time.

Ahh Sadly I can't help you out. If you were running a custom rom, I probably could have helped. But I haven't ran stock rom on this phone for a long time. So I'm not actually sure about the settings that are different.
Most I could do to help is to tell you to look in your quick settings. Maybe there is an option like I have for expanded desktop.
Friends,
I'm sure I'm not the first one asking, nor the first one who wants it, but is there a way or have you guys tried to make the Samsung Browser installed, have a black colored UI or Dark UI instead or the white it comes in?
If so... Can you guys share how I can do it as well? Thanks!
If not... Can any of you talent themers try to make one? ? ?
Have you tried the new Samsung beta internet app? Has dark mode it says
Check this.

I would consider the high contrast mode in the beta browser a sort of dark mode.
just for information
try substratum(not available for internet tho) for otger apps- just in case
This is Samsung Internet beta with high contrast mode turned on.
.
After installing it go to its settings and then accessibility and turn on high contrast mode

I own an awesome phone(Poco F1) that even after 4 years is still very usable due to being supported by the ROM community. The problem I have is that some roms have the all the features I need minus the option to disable 180° portrait screen rotation.
The reason I need that is being able to watch landscape videos while lieing sideways with the phone upside down.
I tried adding lines to build.prop related to rotation to no end. There are no Magisk modules/xposed apps that would do that (that I know of).
All the play store apps can't disable that particular rotation mode and honestly I would prefere not to use an app just for that. Any suggestions?
