Sounds like you modified your boot.img or your boot.img got corrupted.
It seems you'll have to flash your stock firmware to fix this.

Hello, I'm experiencing logging problems with the jakeyiii account. However umm your saying its the wrong boot.IMG I haven't touched the boot atall. I was watching YouTube videos while being connected to the laptop for charge. Even if I was to try putting a stock boot image onto the phone its impossible because soon as I see the logo "InFocus" it comes up saying something "cannot load the correct dtb file!!!!" Can't boot into fast boot either as when I try to boot into fastboot that's the message it says "cannot load the correct dtb file!!!!!" When trying to turn on normally it just vibrates and does nothing.
Any clue how to get stock back on?

I said it sounded as if "you" modified boot.img OR your boot.img got corrupted "on its own". You said that you didn't modify anything so of the two possibilities I listed, which possibility does that leave?
Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk

Response
The remaining possibility is it just got corrupt on its own this is the second time this has happened to me. The first one happened like 4 months after getting it and the n again 9 months after that. So currently stuck using a family's phone to message here haha.
If I can't boot the phone in faceboot or even recovery any clue how I can solve this?

You might can try the script from the thread linked below in the "using adb" section, it might allow you get connected to adb while in bootloop at the InFocus screen.
From there you can try a dd command to push a copy of your device's boot.img if you can find a copy of your firmware and extract the .img from it or you can try getting someone with your device to pull a copy of boot.img from their device for you to use.
Have you tried booting to safe mode?
Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk

Hello
Yes I've tried to boot into safe mode can't boot what so ever. It just vibrates if I try fast boot I get the DTB file error. And no one near me has a in focus.
I can't enable USB debugging because it won't boot and can't use ADB because it won't find the device as when USB is connected the phone trys to boot and restarts constantly .

have you found solution to it bcos me have same problem

Stuck in Fastboot Mode - Please Help!!!

Hi everyone. I have been looking everywhere i can and i cannot find any existing threads explaining how to fix this.
First off I am a little bit of a noob when it comes to rooting. I rooted my phone using a one-click method yesterday and was flashing roms fine. I couldnt find anything i liked last night so i restored the backup i made. This morning i was going to flash CM9. My phone was fine this morning. I turned off my phone and went into fastboot mode. When i went to recovery it came right back into fastboot mode saying "no boot or recovery image". No matter how i turn the phone on it goes to fastboot mode. Also, i can't seem to get my computer to recognize my phone no matter what i try. I have pulled the battery and left it out for 30 minutes and still nothing.
What am i missing.
Thank you in advance for any help.
I had a similar situation, don't get stressed, basically u'll have to force the phone into recovery, delete all the files in regards to android on ur pc, restart it, same for the phone, I don't exactly remember where it is but I think is around here on the forums at XDA that explain how to force the Nexus to be recognized by Windows again, or ;look it up on Google, lessons learned!!!
Also check the posts about Nexus being stuck on Boot and similar.

Since your in fast boot try to go to recovery. From recovery try to delete data and cache. Then try to reflash your rom. Chances are if it will not work. Maybe the file you downloaded is corrupted and u need to download it again.
PS don't forget to do a nand backup before flashing any rom or update.

lg mytouch c800 bricked?

hi im pretty new here a friend of mine gave me her lg c800 mytouch to try and fix it for her.. not sure what she did she said she rooted the phone and the root was successful but i have a good idea that she doesnt know what she was doing..i will post a pic of the error screen im getting. but it says
E:Cant find misc
E:cant find misc
Finding update package...
E:unknown volume for path [sd:/download/adb_fastboot_and_other_tools.Zip]
E:Cant mount SDCARD:/download/adb_fastboot_and_other_tools.zip
Installation aborted
facory reset failed
restart factory reset..
now im far from a pro at this i know a lil more about computers and Ios devices..but ive rooted a few phones and to me it looks like she unzipped adb fastboot on her phone from her sd card??
ive tried holding F..A..vol down..and power..Nothing..
ive tried volume up .volume down and power still nothing..
BUT if i hold E..vol UP and power it brings me to a white screen that says S/W update
the big problem is the phone wont stay on long enough to do anything on the computer it stays on 3 sec. then reboots to same screen (computer says phone is unplugged) then phone just keeps restarting.
but the phone WILL stay on when i put it on the S/W update screen..but computer wont recognize the phone at all on that screen
ive tried the adb and fastboot commands but the phone wont stay recognized..it will recognize the phone and say thats its in recovery mode but when phone restarts it dont see phone no more..
well thanks ahead of time if anyone has any input or solution
and hopefully all this will make sense to someone lol
i think this pic will work.. if not ill try again
any ideas please?? or am i completely out of luck?

...do you mean that you can successfully communicate with the phone over USB, but you only have 3 seconds? What way is the phone recognized? Is it visible to adb/fastboot?

Yes In Adb device list it shows the phone and then says recovery..but after that I don't have enough time to type any other commands ..the phone is also recognized in "my computer" as removable device then when the phone restarts seconds later it says device unplugged ..and just keeps restarting on its own till I remove the battery...I just read on the forum in a post that Adb will recognize the phone if it's off but I remove the battery and put it back in and plug in USB and phone turns on and keeps restarting won't even let me turn it off!! I'm losing patience with this thing lol
But I don't get why the error mentions fastboot? Not my phone so if it's not fixable I don't really care but I'm just the stuborn type when it comes to fixing electronics ..again thanks ahead of time to anyone that helps cuz I'm completely lost on this one
Have you tried timing it to send a quick "adb reboot recovery"? If you can use fastboot, you can tell it to boot off a new, custom recovery img, without actually flashing it.
i have the same problem

i used an app on the market to remove bloatware. i removed slacker and the app stated that after two reboots that everything would be fine and the app would be gone. after one reboot the phone has the same screen this gentlemans lady friend has. it looks like the app its looking for is no longer zip aligned properly. someone told me to rename a recovery image the error message to trick the bootloader into thinking the missing app is there. hes an app dev so i figured he knows whats what. ive tried everything the gentleman in this post said and more. hell i have two of these phones and rooted the other and made a backup of that phone and dragged the backup to an sd card and rebooted to see if any of the backed up system apks would trigger a successful reboot but to no avail. i have all the drivers i need and adb commands but nothing works because the phone doesnt stay connected to my pc long enough for anything. please reply with some knowledge. ive been scouring the web for at least a month. i was so happy when i came across this. i actually became a member just to post about this erroer (look up diabolus ae in the forum search field. my post is about 3 days old with a better pic of the screen message. i bought a galaxy s II but i want to give the lg to my son. please help or respond:cyclops:

Normally, if you want to flash a custom recovery through fastboot, people will tell you to run 2 commands:
fastboot flash recovery nameofimagefile.img
fastboot reboot recovery
Since you don't have time to execute those 2 commands, you can tell it to just boot from the .img file, without flashing over your current recovery. (This is actually proper form, as you can test if the .img file works properly without damaging your existing recovery.) The way you do that is to 1st copy a recovery .img file to the root of your SD card, then execute the following 1 command:
fastboot boot nameofimagefile.img
Since you only have ~3 seconds, type the command in, and wait for the right instant to hit enter on the keyboard. If the command is successfully sent to the phone, it will reboot into that .img.
See if that works for you. Good luck.

Nexus 5 gets stuck trying to write files with fastboot

Hey guys, I've been trying to update to 4.4.3 and managed to sort of get it working with the OTA but it was kind of a dirty mess so I wanted to try and do a clean flash with fastboot. So I downloaded the image from Google and tried to run the flash-all.bat and it errors out after flashing the radio and trying to send a reboot command to fastboot-far as I can tell this is because the bootloader is stuck on "writing..." The same thing happened before when I tried to write the system.img alone while restoring my phone to stock to load the OTA-it would get stuck on "writing..." in the bootloader and even waiting 5 hours didn't get it past "writing..." Does anybody know how to fix this? I'm trying to manually send things over one by one with fastboot instead of using the script but since it gets stuck with every file I'm not sure if it's even fully flashing everything over...very frustrating that it's getting stuck and this is with the latest bootloader on it too (hhz11k).
I had a similar problem does fastboot on your computer crash and say out of memory
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
No oddly on the computer everything looks ok, it sends the file over and it says the write is successful. But fastboot on the phone then locks up basically and gets stuck on the "writing..." portion so then the next command will fail when the computer tries to send any commands. Very weird and reflashing the bootloader didn't fix anything either.
Try restarting the computer and unplugging nexus 5

Hello anyone reading this, the other day i was at a birthday party and was just randomly browsing facebook on my phone when the phone ran out of battery. When i got home and put it on charge, it booted to the home screen, i put my lock code in and then it would start loading everything but then it just suddenly freezes so i had to keep restarting it manually and after a few goes, it got to the point where it would not go past the boot screen and now it seems as if it has like no idea what its doing.. i went into fastboot and factory resetting it but nothing happened, and when i go into recovery and try to wipe anything, it just freezes and does nothing. It wont even recgonize a usb cable and i have installed it on my computer before, and i have got to the point where i dont know what to do can anyone PLEASE help? :crying: :crying: :crying:

Please answer these and I will try my best to assist.
Yes i ment lockscreen, and im running 4.4.4 and i can access fastboot mode but when i connect a usb cable, nothing happens.

What is the error message.

Worst case scenario ****up, need help badly :(

After 8 years of tinkering with Android phones I have no clue how this happened.
PIXEL 2 (Walleye, non-xl)
Tried getting TWRP and ElementalX working but either one or both weren't doing there thing, though I could at least boot and use my phone normally. Finally ended in a situation where I couldn't boot passed fastboot with an error at the bottom "ERROR: LoadImageAndAuth Failed: Load Error". Found a fix that said to change the active partition. Set it to b and that worked and surprise it loads TWRP...so somehow TWRP was installed, but I can't actually load Android.
Grabbed the latest factory image and manually flashed all the files in the zip-within-the-zip. Everything flashed with no hiccups so I rebooted to bootloader with the intention to then reboot the system, and now this is happening:
TLDR Phone won't turn on. Holding PWR+VolDown SEEMS to do nothing, but it actually flashes a line on the screen like it's trying to load something for a milisecond, then does nothing. Holding PWR+VolUp does nothing. Holding PWR+VolUp+VolDown does the same screen flash followed by the notification LED blinking red 2 or 3 times. Please help!
EDIT: if it matters, the phone is about 50% battery and currently still on judging purely by the fact that it's been warm for about an hour.
sorry for your troubles, i have yet to see this with our phones. Just to get some more information, what happens when you try and charge it? If you plug your phone in to a computer via USB, does it show up in devices? If it shows in devices, can you run platform-tools and see if it shows up via fastboot devices with an ID? If you can connect to fastboot, you could attempt to flash images that way.

Nothing happens if I plug into the computer, no sound and not listed in devices. Plugging it in to the charger does nothing except possibly charges it, but I wouldn't know because the screen doesn't seem to be able to turn on for more than a milisecond of a flash.
I had this same problem when I flashed Elemental X kernel over top of the flash kernel and all I did was use the flash-all script that is included with the system image from google. This got me back to my OS where I flashed elemental and magisk. Do you have insurance through your provider?
