Just wanna let you guys know that you no longer need Foxfi for tethering. You can use X Tether from Xposed Module Repository: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.dym.motoxtether to activate wireless tether. (Or in this case, mobile hotspot) Check out the pics for proof.
Thanks I'll look into this

@Secondlaw - Were you saying the method you quoted from @Droid_Evo_8 works? Or were you stating that there was an easier method without using xposed? The method from your post doesn't seem to involve using the xposed mod but rather modifying a SQL file. Care to elaborate? Did this work without xposed and are you on a VZW non Dev GS5?
Sent from my SM-G900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I installed the xPosed mod first and that didn't allow tethering. Once I modified the .DB, I was able to tether. I didn't do it the other way around.
I suppose someone else could edit the .DB file without the installed the xPosed mod and test.
I successfully enabled native hotspot with xposed and x tether but after disabling the hotspot (after testing) my connections to the web are mucked up until I reboot. A page will load about 3/4 then stop loading. Doesn't matter if on a WiFi connection or vzw.

first try to get TWRP for your phone and then flash Chainfire's SuperSu zip in recovery mode or check following website of developer if your phone is already supported and you can do without recovery

Root for MT7-L09 B571?

Hey guys!
I was wondering if anyone has rooted the latest update? If so, are you using the same TWRP and SuperSU as with B561?
I also have a question for those that use AndroidPay. Have any of you been able to use AP while rooted? If yes, can you please guide me in the right direction. I'm a big AP user and I hate that I would have to lose the ability to root my device in order to get it working.
Thanks in advance for the help!
I'm using 3.0.2 TWRP and SuperSU v2.64 Pro, and it works perfect.

Can you tell me, why do yo want to root your phone?
I root because I use xposed for Adblocker and youtube adaway... plus the deletion of Gapps that are of no use.

You just gave dangerous instructions, remember The OP is running MM 6.0, if they're running the latest version they cannot downgrade and attempting can fully brick there device.

There is a methode that i have recently found working for all AT&T mobiles :
1) Download "Settings Database Editor" in appstore
2)Open that app and find scroll until you find a setting named "tether_entitlement_check_state", click on it
3)Click on "edit value"
4)You will find a number down to "edit setting" (5 or 4 usully), remplace them by -1
5)Click on "save changes" and enjoy
