Charging speed - Xiaomi Mi 6 Real Life Review

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Xiaomi Mi 6 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

Xiaomi Mi series has always been known for the amazing fast charge capabilities. Coming from Mi 5 and upgrading to Mi 6, I can surely say that Mi 6 is charging slower (even after considering the additional 350 mAh in the Mi 6).
I use Accubattery, I get the below readings:
Mi 5 Screen On (~1,600 mA)
Mi 5 Screen Off (~2,450 mA)
Mi 6 Screen On (~1,484 mA)
Mi 6 Screen Off (~1,556 mA)
Such a disappointment

rom china beta fast charge
use 3c app
Mi 6 Screen Off (~30xx mA)
Mi 6 Screen On (~2xxx mA)

I don't know bout you, but even on custom rom, the fast charge is good.

I'm on global stable rom 9.2, will unlock soon and try a custom room. nice to see these blazing speeds

i think that software detection of charge is not yet as robust as the hardware one.
I always use USB tester like this

Heating problem in Xiaomi mi 4i

While charging with an AC source this device gets heated up very fastly, even when the RAM usage is 60% its thermal response acts like that all its 8 cores are overloaded.

why is this processor so battery hungry?

I previosly owned a Moto X Play and it didnt consumed more than 3% and at redmi pro is minimum 12% . Data and wifi always enabled

There's definitely something with the thermal management of the processor, as evidenced by the difference in Antutu scores hot vs cold where I see 30% difference, low 70000 versus > 100000 - and by "hot" I mean after 10 minutes of browsing, not playing intense games.
That said, compared to a similar spec phone like Elephone S8 the Redmi Pro looks pretty good. With a similar battery rating and X25 if I leave both idle the Redmi Pro still has 35% charge when the Elephone S8 hits zero. Yes the Elephone has a larger screen, but by idle I mean mostly just sitting there with the screen off.
Can't comment on the Moto X Play but if the Snapdragon 615 is anything like the 625 in, say, the Redmi Note 4X then battery life will blow it out of the water and performance will remain pretty much constant (it never gets "hot hot"). But... so here's the thing, in Antutu the performance never reaches the heights of the X25 at it's hottest/worst.

Choosing between Xiaomi Mi Max 3, Ulefone Power 5 & Oukitel K10

Hi. I play games a lot everyday. How long does the battery on the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 holds out before it needs charging? The Ulephone Power 5 may have the battery power but I understand the system for the Mi Max 3 is better. I don't want to make a decision based on just the battery power. I would prefer to get something that gives me decent battery time and good performance. So I'm pretty much stuck between the 2 as well as the Oukitel K10. Help!!!
Mi Max 3 beats those others pretty much every aspect.

Xiaomi redmi note 6 pro high voltage

When my phone is 100% charged, there is a voltage of 4.400, will it hurt? like everyone else?

Question Problems with 8 Gen 1

"Everyone" is saying: "do not go with this soc, it overheats, it has overdraining battery issues...". Is it really that bad? Or was that true only at the beginning and now after few firmware updates everything is allright and great soc to go?
Looking for an answer in this question too.
I'm on mi 9 lite and want an upgrade.
We have a huge price drop on Xiaomi 12. And I'm looking for a user experienced answer. Thanks!
Maybe check some reviews/test from other phones with this SoC.
Poco F4 GT, Realme GT 2 Pro, Motorola Edge 30 Pro, OnePlus 10 Pro, Oppo Find X5 Pro, ...

It's not a good SoC. But I'm looking for user experience on latest miui updates. How does battery perform after so many updates?
It overheats from Youtube/TikTok, Idle battery drain is 1%/hr on Wi-Fi, no BT, no GPS

Say no more. I still have 0.19%/hr idle drain on my mi 9 lite here.
Yeah its the case with my Xiaomi 12, but tolerable.
If you use only social media apps and browsers, the phone heats up but not severe and battery depleted about 1%/5 minutes.
But gaming otherwise, if you play moderately heavy games (genshin impacts) in places without fans or conditioners, this phone heats up quite fast, the fps count drops and the whole experience become worse over time.
