Scrolling smoothness - Sony Xperia XZs Real Life Review

Some phones exhibit choppy scrolling, especially when navigating long web pages when multiple apps are running in the background. Rate this thread to express how you smooth scrolling feels on the Sony Xperia XZs under such conditions. A higher rating indicates that scrolling is always buttery smooth, even when you're reading a 10,000 word article on "how to kiss a girl".

I sometimes detect lags, but this is largely due to the stamina mode perhaps, and chained with the battery drain issues.

smooth as fluid .

I have the same issue with Chrome since it has been updated some days (< 1 month) before. There are also comments from other users which basically says the same. Haven't tried other browsers yet.

Right the way my friend.

if the battery saver is on then scrolling smoothness doesnt work properly!
also apps like messenger, snapchat having unrestricted network acess makes device slower (ingeneral)
so it what other apps are heavily consuming network and/or processor

I don't get it
I don't get it either, but I will say this phone is one of the fastest I've ever used in day to day usage. I came from a Galaxy S6 128gb and this device is a constant smooth experience. Jank and constant app reloads is what killed the S6 for me.
Hangouts is responsive and smooth... I think that says it all.
Faster than the OnePlus2, which has the same processor and more RAM... Not near as laggy.
No lags, no hiccups, just pure unadulterated speed.

What do you mean - Justin Bieber
fast for me. faster than the tears when watchin a nicholas sparks movie.
This phone flies.
Granted im coming from a galaxy S3, but still, this phone is awesome
Yeah I've had absolutely 0 times where this phone has hung/frozen/janked/Etc.
Think that's all I need to say really. Also, multitasking works great and apps don't constantly have to refresh. Benchmarks are completely pointless and it amazes me that people still think they're important on smartphones. Especially when the Samsung phones all blow this out the water with their crazy antutu scores, yet people still claim this phone is faster and less often freezes up or hangs.

It is very fast, it does clock down when hot, but that is a good thing.
In normal usage the heat is low and the phone flies but even only somewhat intensive games definitely heat up the phone faster and the framerate suffers.
the phone feels fast as hell after it boots up, but after awhile when you start opening up a bunch of stuff and its still in ur task manager.. things start slowing down a lot

WHAT !?! - Lil John
The phone is fast, but it is not without some issues.
In particular, I have some bluetooth issues - the phone randomly disconnects from my car's BT, and only a reboot would fix it.
I used Nexus 5, Moto X 2nd gen, and Moto X Pure previously in the same car, and had no issues.
Hoping it is software related, and the "fix" is on the way.
BTW, tried two Nexus 6P's and the same results with BT
My first Nexus phone and I might never switch from the Nexus line going forward. I've had it for almost a month now (received mine Oct 27th) and I still haven't had one hiccup or stutter. This phone is a champ and prob the most consistent performing phone I've had to date..
can't get any faster currently
Nothing to add, fastest device I had so far. Very snappy, no lags.
Boot and shutdown is a little slower than others, say GS6, but everything else is perfect. Doesnt skip a beat.
First phone that didnt stutter when you swipe left to Google now in the launcher (just checked it out before I switched to Nova, lol).
fast enough for me

app launch speeds are great, no issues
Apps launch instantly... nothing to criticize there.
I hope honor used ufs for even more speeds.

Very fast. Zero lags.
Apps are run fantastic no lag / bug / glitch no problem and issues!
VERY fast app launch speed. The Honor 9 kills it in this area.

plently of ram, no issues with multitasking
I can switch from one app to another in 1 second or lower... RAM is 4 GB... it's enough... can open 15 apps and don't feel any decrease in speed.
Very smooth multitasking. Can open Temple run and facebook and the same time with no lags.
Buttery smooth..multitasking is really smooth.
4 GB is ok!
Is not refresh 6 games and 8/10 apps is nice.
I have the 4GB model of the Honor 9 and the RAM is very good. Can run plenty of apps at the same time, and launching apps is very fast.

Very bad ram management! Can't keep apps in memory for more than an hour tops! And very often refreshes after minutes. Yes optimize battery is off and app is locked! ?
I purchased this phone, new, 3 months ago. I haven't experienced this issue. I would rate "Multitasking/RAM" with 5 Stars.

Did you checked already? See, there are some apps that can check the speed of your internal and external memory. Search for it and do some test

Yeah writes seem to be slower as a whole but that shouldn't hinder UI fluidity that much as read speeds are pretty good overall.

HW Mate 20 has same story before, but it's fixed by software update. i guess we can report this to realme to improve it.
