Do you happen to have an SD card? Perhaps TWRP is looking at the wrong storage when you go to install if you do.

[Q] Help

I am needing install a rom to my SD card...but can't simply move the file over to my phone at the moment I only have fastboot right now. Can I move a file over using fastboot and then use clockworkmod to flash it?
Use the "mount USB storage" in the CWM "mounts and storage" menu.
Why can't you move the file over? To use fastboot you need to be hooked to a computer anyways.
You could download rom file to your sdcard straight from the phone.

You can only flash img files via fastboot. I don't know if CM is released that way at all.
Is your phone even functional? I mean, you can boot to a regular rom, correct?

You cannot flash recovery, while being inside a recovery. Install zip from sd card will install over the system partition.
This is probably not what you want.
Use fastboot to flash your img file.
ROM Manager can also flash to recovery coz the recovery is not mounted when device is boot normally.

Mobile Odin is the only way I can flash 6.0.0.19, 5.5.0.4 works through Windows Odin though for me.
Just remember you should be flashing a recovery.img file

[Q] twrp cant see sdcard folders

I just finished installing Maximus rom up to the part where I have to reflash the rom after firmware update. When I'm booted in android, I can copy the rom to my sdcard (I used "download" folder). However, when I get into recovery and click install, the only folder available on sdcard was "twrp". When I mounted the storage from twrp, Windows ask me to reformat my sdcard, but says only 50 megabytes is available. Can someone help me out please?
Side mount in twrp, copy ur stuff if you can and then format sdcard. and do a clean flash afterwards.Try that.

Something went wrong when flashing firmware. Make sure the hboot is 2.16 and make sure you have flash modified twrp from maximushd.

Which version of recovery are you using? Tried to switch to last version?
Okay, i did it now without sideload:
push rom to /data/media
somehow the partition for /data/media received 12gb
with twrp you can flash the rom from there, after the rom is installed you will have acces to the 12gb again when conecting the phone via USB cable

How to install rom after full wipe and without sideload success

Hi,
I want to install the Noble Nougat Experience 4.5 so the first I did was to copy the zip file into the download folder. Then i booted into revovery (twrp 3.1) mode, wiped all but internal storage and did a format data but the zip file was lost (I think format data was one step too much?!) . Then I tried with adb sideload but I alwyas got the error "can't load xy.zip" so I tried a random zip file from desktop and this was loaded properly. Now iam stucked in recovery mode with no OS and no idea how to get the zip file to install it.
Can someone help me please?

Hi,
connect your s6 to your computer in TWRP go to Advanced the ADB Sideload then swipe to start sideload
After that press Cancel.
your device must appear in your computer as MTP device so, move "Noble zip" file to your device And flash it.

How to flash rom via twrp? rom zip not appearing on sd card

Hello guys,
I am looking for help because I am lost.
I have a motorola one vision, its rom is XT1970-3_kane_reteu_RSAS31_48_36_21 according to the lenovo rescue tool
I had flashed XT1970-3_KANE_RETEU_PL_11_RSAS31.Q1-48-36-23_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml via fastboot
I later was trying to install twrp and magisk to root the phone (to later try to extract data from the userpartition after a factory reset, kind of mission impossible I guess)
I was somehow able to install twrp but later when trying to boot the system the system was simply not there anymore. I must have messed around a bit
I am able to boot in recovery mode to twrp and I need to flash a rom. I would like to reset to factory or to obtain a bootable system and here I am stuck
I have the zip file of XT1970-3_KANE_RETEU_PL_11_RSAS31.Q1-48-36-23_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip on the external SD card
Currently if I try to boot the system after the logo the phone turns off
I turn on the phone, I get to the bootlooder. I had the bootlocker unlocked. I select recovery mode and enter twrp and here I am stuck:
If I select restore and select storage sd card no file to use for the restore appears in my sd card
If I select install I see the XT1970-3_KANE_RETEU_PL_11_RSAS31.Q1-48-36-23_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
I get invalid zip file format, error installing zip file
Should I use the other zip file? should this rom have another format?
I cannot reflash via fastboot currently
Thanks in advance
May be I have solved:
I saved on the SD card:
lineage-19.1-20220618-nightly-kane-signed.zip
lineage-19.1-20220618-recovery-kane.img
Via twrp I installed the .img file, a recovery tool (the recovery tool will substitute twrp)
(I accessed if I remember well from advanced, install ramdisk or something similar. I did not know exactly what I was doing, intuition was guiding me)
Rebooting the system through the recovery tool I applied the zip file
Later I resetted to factory via the recovery tool.
Once rebooted Lineage OS started in 10m
Now I can eventually reflash the motorola original rom via fastboot
