Check whether you can unlock your bootloader or not by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* ->service info --> Configuration, check rooting status if it says bootloader unlock allowed: Yes, then you can unlock it. But you have mentioned that you are using XA, fortunately it should be Yes.
Try to use flashtool 0.9.23.2, to pass from 0.9.23.1 to 0.9.23.2 you have to download x10flasher.jar and put this file in the folder named Flashtool. To unlock your bootloader, go to devellopper mod in your phone, tick USB debugging , and Oem unlock too. In lock screen and security tick unknown source. Then unlock it via flashtool.

unable to understand it. plz explain.:crying:
I assume you waited patiently as PC Companion/SEUS downloaded the update. So the raw update files are in your PC right now!!
All you've to do to make your own ftf file is to follw the procedure here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1676565
And once you have your ftf file ready, flash it with the flash tool & let us know if it works :fingers-crossed:
This is the first time im trying to root a phone.
I bought the xperia z2, and when the official way to onlock the bootloader failed (sony), I tried to use Flashtool.
I started with downloading the flashtool, and followed every step to download it correctly. When everything was set, I connected the phone to the pc while holding the minus volume button.
The phone then connects to the pc and flashtool starts unlocking the bootloader. But after a couple of seconds the phone disconnects automatcally. It isnt something wrong with the USB cable, it connects fine without the flashtool.
This problem persists after trying over and over again. I have reinstalled flashtool and all the drivers. Turned off antivirus and changed the pc setting so it enables me to install the flashtool hardwares. Im using windows 8.1.
The message I get from flashtool from I start up flashtool til the phone disconnect is this:

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. A quick search allowed me to find this thread:
[D6502/D6503][17.1.A.1.2]Flashtool needs an update for XZ2
It might be a good idea to ask there, that way people experienced with your device and with Flash Tool can help you out.
Good luck!
Dont think I can post replies yet
Hi
Thank you so much for the answer, but when I tried to post a comment on the post you sent it says that i cant do that because my comment will be on a seperate q&a post. Not sure what to do

My apologies, you need to have a certain number of posts in order to post in a development section. You'll need to post in the Z2 q&a section instead:

Hi, to start with my problem is that my device gone into bootloop after superuser install(i did not flased it with custom rom or anything). I've tried wiping user data and partition from android recovery but did not helped me. also tried with sony pc companion and wnshua also but both failed to flash my device. The device still in bootloop with sony logo
after searching on xda came across fastboot mode and bootloader unlock by which i can install my original kernel and then try to flash it with the default rom so i need help for how to access fastboot mode and how to unlock bootloader when the device is bricked.
tried by using flashtool but throws error

please help and moderators please move my tread to appropriate section
I had some problems with my device and I tried to flash it with cust-reset.ta included to see if it will fix it because flashing normally didn't..
Then my phone sort of bricked and now when I try to boot it or charge it the sony logo appears for like 0.5 sec and immediately powers off.
When I try to flash it normally [without cust-reset.ta] It doesn't flash it:

I don't know why it shows bootloader not rootable because I already have unlocked the bootloader..
Is my phone hardbricked? I am able to connect it in fastboot/flash mode.
I tried another usb port and another computer.
also tried another ftf and another flashtool version. Still nothing..
Try to use flashtool for flash a normal system like 4.4, if you want i explain it to you.
Try reset fota on locked bootloader . Mens to lock bootloader first.
