Post LG Android Devices Root Methods Here

KingRoot, KingoRoot, StumpRoot (pre-5.1 devices) or always the ever trusty "Universal Root Method" using ADB & a Root Kit on any PC, this tutorial can be found right here on XDA & I will verify it works when done correctly on many of the phones where no other methods seemed to work. , hope this helps!

I did the steps, but I don't have an SD card yet, so I realized I could use adb sideload instead, but when I use reboot recovery and then apply update from adb windows tells me " Device not recognized " and it also dosen't appear in adb devices... So i guess I'm out of luck, right?

[Completed] [Q] Can Posh Equal S700a be rooted?

I have tried rooting this phone using Kingo and iRoot, but it doesn't work. Kingo times out after the phone reboots and the iRoot PC app doesn't detect the phone, even though the drivers are installed. I also tried using the iRoot mobile app, but it also fails to root the device after explicitly stating that the device was successfully rooted. I also tried some of the other tools listed here such as TowelRoot and FramaRoot. TowelRoot says that my device is not supported and FramaRoot isn't compatible either. Does anyone know how to root this phone? I've searched this forum, as well as the rest of the web, and there seems to be absolutely nothing online about this phone.
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device. You will need to ask for help here,

Good luck!

ZTE N817 - Cannot root ?

Just received a ZTE N817 ( ZTE Quest ) running KitKat 4.4.4 . I have tried most rooting methods, with no success.
Framaroot, Kingroot, iroot, 360 root, root genius and a few others, with no luck I've rooted dozens of phones with little to no problems...But this one is being tricky.
Has anyone successfully rooted their ZTE Quest ( ZTE N817 ) running 4.4.4
Success
I was able to root my ZTE n817 today using the PC version of iroot v 1.8.8.

Anyway you could without PC? I don't have access to one ATM. Thanks
Root
I was unable to root without a PC, but I'm sure as they update the various root methods they will have something that works.

I was able to finally root my ZTE Quest N817 with Kingo Root. I wouldn't root from the normal booted Homescreen.
I F'ed with a few different ways and Modes. Normal boot - FTM mode and Bootloader mode
But I member it finally rooting successfully, I ended up being in FTM mode. When I rebooted the phone. Kingo Roots Superuser popped up and asked me if I wanted to allow permission.
None of these methods worked for me.
this works!!! - weird mode you reboot into and it's weak

FINALLY SUCCESS! AGAIN for the ZTE WELLINGTON n817
The wellington is a tough one.
I just got success again after 4 months.
originally I used iroot and achieved success. It lasted for about 30 min. until I accidentally deleted the rommastersu app. I didnt want it but didnt know I would loose root by deleting it.
This time I did the adb reboot disemmcwp then ran the OLDER VERSION OF KINGO ROOT. The newer versions didnt work for me.
The version I used wAS................. Kingo Android Root Version: 1.4.9 and only download from kingoapp.com the rest of the other places apps were loaded with add-on garabage that you cant opt out of.
Worked for me too.

I went to the Eroot website and they warn you to use their "one click service" whatever that is. So how do I use their one click service? I don't want to brick my phone.
