SuperSU Root Volsmart Fire006(KGL PX5 based) Success! - MTCD Software Development

This may work on other KGL based PX5 models. I am on Build: px5-userdebug 6.0.1 MXC89L user.hct.20170502.191548 test-keys
1.) Install kingoroot. Let it root the device.
2.) Install SuperSU 2.79 .
3.) Run SuperSU and it should ask you to update the binary. Select "Normal". Let it complete. Allow it to reboot.
4.) After the reboot run SuperSU. Press "Home" button to leave SuperSU running in background.
4.) Uninstall Kingoroot.
5.) Open SuperSU and go to "Settings". Select "Install SuperSU into /system". Allow it to reboot
6.) Run SuperSU again. It will ask you to update binary. Select "Normal". Let it reboot.
You should be rooted with SuperSU now. The first time I ran a root app it hung for a long time. I killed the app and tried again. The root dialog showed and was able to grant root access. Good luck.

I have a PX5 KGL too. With older ROMs it was working that way, but now when I run SuperSU it just says that "binary is occupied" and it won't update.

[Q] GT-P5113 Root problems, SuperSu binary issue. Could sure use help.

Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5113) Wifi only.
OS: Android 4.2.2 Jellybean
Build#: P5113UEUCMK3
So here is what I have done:
Ran Odin v3 1.85 and pushed CF-Auto-Root-expresso10wifi-expresso10wifibby-gtp5113.tar.md5
I followed the instructions to the letter. The Odin process runs, red Android screen....tablet process runs...neither process reports errors...No Root.
When I try SuperSU I get "There is no SU binary installed...." blah blah see it all over the forums but nothing I have tried has fixed either problem. I even put the SuperSU.apk on a micro SD and it won't install over to replace the binary. SuperSU does not show up in my Applications list so I cannot remove it.
So I did hard resets, wiped cache etc..
No change.
Next I downloaded the factory ROM P5113UEUCMK3_P5113XACCND2_HOME.tar.md5 from Samsung and pushed it over successfully.
No change.
I cannot get root to take so I cannot manually remove SuperSU using a file manager (requires root)
I would really like to get my tablet rooted so i can install other apps.
Any one with information that will help me solve this will be my new hero...briefly...
Thanks in advance!

Yes I did.
I'm having the exact same problem with my P5110.
Is anyone really gonna help here?
I have the same issue with GT-P3113.
To root or not to root?
Which one is it people? If you can't file explore because you don't have root you just delete SU from your apps (Manage apps) drawer.
Then you just go about your typical rooting, following the Op instructions and your done.
Pp.
I can only turn on and off supersu, can't delete or uninstall it.
Also despite turning it off and checking the appstore, there's no uninstall button, even when I did update it with a new apk it still won't do anything. Still says the same thing. no Binary and can't even install one.

As I mentioned SU is not in my App manager and therefore cannot be removed. I attempted to download and install the SU apk from micro SD and it failed.
So I am stuck with no root and unable to get a file manager running to manually remove SU.
I have the same problem with my P3113
Do you have a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) installed? If so you can download and flash the latest SuperSU.zip
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium HD app
Well I had the exact same problem, and I think that the SuperSU included on the CF-Auto-Root file is outdated or something.
I was on android 4.2.2 but I have the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5110.
I searched the forums and came up with a solution for our problem. I think that SuperSU is outdated on that CF-Auto-Root file or it was the custom recovery that it installs thats outdated or messed up for android 4.2.2, because right after it does its thing, we get the tablet default recovery again.
Since I dont know how to make a new CF-Auto-Root file, I tried to install an updated custom recovery through Odin3 instead of the CF-Auto-Root file, and it worked. Then I entered on the TWRP recovery and installed an updated SuperSU, restarted the tablet, and it worked too. I had now a rooted tablet with a permanent custom recovery, So i followed to install a custom rom, etc.
So now the steps I did:
(I am not responsible if it doesnt work for your tablet and messes something up or brick it, so please follow on your own risk, or maybe wait for some expert on this things to say if its safe or not. All i know is that it worked for me.)
Step 1: Download Stuff
Download and install samsung usb drivers
Go to Samsung website and search for your device. Go to downloads and download the USB Driver and install it.
Download Odin3 1.85_3
Go to this topic and download Odin3 3.85_3 from the "What you need:" section. Extract it on your computer.
Download TWRP recovery
Go to TWRP website, click "Get TWRP for your device", search for 5110 (doesn't have the 5113 version, and I think that the 5110 is the same and works too), scroll down to "Download - Odin Flashable Tar:" and click the "5110 only" version. It will open another page, scroll down for the most recent version and download the .tar file. Extract it on your computer.
Download SuperSU for TWRP
Go to Chainfire website and download that SuperSU version for TWRP. Dont extract, just put it on your SD card for the tablet.
Step 2: Doing stuff.
Install samsung drivers, extract Odin to your computer and put the SuperSU file on your SD card for the tablet.
(To avoid confusion about using the Volume rocker switch, I'll refer to side closest to POWER button as LEFT/Volume DOWN and side away from power switch as RIGHT/VolumeUP. )
1: Turn off the tablet and restart it on download mode. To enter download mode, press Power Button + Volume Right. When the warning appears press Volume Left to enter download mode.
2: Now open Odin3 1.85, click PDA, select the TWRP .tar file you downloaded.
3: Make sure to uncheck the "Auto Reboot" option. The only checked thing must be "F. Reset Time".
4: Connect usb cable to tablet. Press start. When it finishes, the box will turn green and says "pass!" you can remove the cable.
5: Now press Power button + Volume Left. Keep pressing it, the tablet should restart and when the samsung galaxy tab 2 screen appears, let go of the power button, but keep pressing Volume Left until the TWRP recovery screen appears.
6: Now inside TWRP recovery menu, press Install. On the top part of the screen press Storage and and change to external storage or SD card. Now select the SuperSU file and install it by swiping that thing. After it install and says successful, press reboot.
Congratulations ! Now you have successfully rooted your tablet and you have a permanent custom recovery ! You can now install a custom rom, etc.
Some notes:
I used TWRP recovery because i used it on my smartphone. So thats what I learned to use, so I used it on the tablet too. Feel free to use other custom recovery and adapt the tutorial for it.
It worked for me. If it doesn't work for you, or something is failing on some step, try to read everything again and re-do.

Very good.
Rooting failed?
HI,
I love the details in your guide.
I installed TWRP and then went into reboot > system. I then swiped to install the binary, which it did. Once it rebooted, a notification appeared for SuperSU. I click it and it said SuperSU's su binary is not present, this is a fatal error!
I would appreciate any further help

Did you update superSU app from playstore, and made it update it's root binary?
TWRP adds a basic root binary that enable the latest superSU app to install it's fully working root binary.
Hi, thanks for your quick reply.
I clicked notification which opened the supersu installer. It then said "SuperSU's su binary is not present, this is a fatal error!"
I then clicked OK and the application closed.
Reopening the app still gives the same message

Update superSU manually from playstore, it should tell you if superSU binary isn't installed and might offer you an option to install it uaing TWRP, you can go for this method, or you can try repeating the post method again, as TWRP will ask you agian to root if the root binary wasn't installed. However don't worry, rooting using TWRP sometimes mistakenly miss somethings which cause to fail, but repeating the process will solve it..

SuperSU updated automatically, I did try after it updated and I did try re-rooting from TWRP. It rebooted after I clicked system under reboot section. I saw a previous comment about mounting the system partition. I mounted it and reboot, but it was no longer mounted after rebooting (by clicking reboot then recovery in TWRP). I then tried mounting without rebooting, this produced the same outcome. The phone reboots normally into the os. I also tried using SuperSU to fully unroot. I then tried TWRP again (both without mounting system partition and with mounting system partition). The phone still reboot into the OS. I do believe that I could restart from the beginning if I was able to uninstall SuperSU, but I can't as it was installed as a system app by TWRP.
I appreciate your help and hope you can find a way to make this work.

Hey crackpot360,
Open settings, scroll to the bottom and tap "About device", then tap build number until you unlock developer options.
Now open "Developer options" (above "About device") and scroll down to "root access". Change it to the "apps" setting.
Now, when an app requests superuser permissions it will ask you just as any other superuser app would. You can also choose to allow permanently.
When an app uses superuser it will show a "#" symbol in the Status bar.
To revoke permissions in the future, open the privacy settings, tap "Privacy guard", then tap the menu button at the top and select "Advanced". Then scroll all the way to the right to control the superuser access of apps.
I hope this helps
A thanks would be great

OK thanks for the reply first of all,
secondly, Ive already solved the problem by flashing supersu through recovery and updating binaries for it, but now my question is, should i follow through with your steps or just let it be? because everything as of right now is working fine.
Thanks again.
Is there any way to remove "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing" and "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing" on the top of the screen on boot splash? I have already installed TWRP and flashed Lineage on it. Phone boots and works just as expected, it is just that little detail that bugs me.

I have the same problem. Can you tell me how to mount my system partition?
I went to mount, then i checked system and clicked the internal storage. After that i went to system=>reboot but it just rebooted. It didn't asked me whether or not my phone is rooted!!
For those who want to root their Samsung Galaxy phone, I recommended to use the TWRP method. Hell man I tried the pre-rooted rom but it mess up my phone like it stop and stuck at samsung logo after rebooting for indefinite time. Luckily though I fix it just installing the Stock ROM. Then use the TWRP method to root my phone. Now it is rooted and updated and working fine. BTW, if the SuperSU asking for installation by Google Play Market or TWRP, use the TWRP because SuperSU is not available in store. It will download the binary of supersu and it will go to twrp recovery and just swipe it and it will install after that it will reboot. After that your phone will be rooted. Just download some root checker app in playstore to see if it is totally rooted. That's it, thanks.

I will be trying this either this evening or Saturday. I can report back. If it works it won't let you do everything since no unlocked bootloader but will be good for many other things.
This worked for me:
1.) Download/Install App https://github.com/JunioJsv/mtk-e...v1.1.0.ap k
2.) Open app, toggle Run on boot, and Select Magisk zip (shouldn't matter which one; I went with 20.4).
3.) Wait a few seconds for it to install. When it asks you to reboot, do so.
4.) On reboot, open Magisk and update if asked.
5.) Once Magisk is fully installed, go back to MTK Easy Su app.
6.) Tap Activate Bootless Root.
Now I'm just looking for an ad blocker as adaway doesn't work.

Got my root working and got Adaway and AFWall+ running. Make sure in Magisk you have enable Systemless hosts under Magisk Manager settings. Then in Adaway make sure you go into preferences and check Enable systemless mode.

No problem. Thanks for sharing that easy root method. If this Blade Prime 10 ever somehow gets full root or bootloader unlock it'll be an amazing phone. Already pretty great, especially since I got it for $25.
I know it's old thread but you can unlock the bootloader and root it with magisk via rom2box.
How to Root ZTE Blade 11 Prime - ROM-Provider
step by step guide to root ZTE Blade 11 Prime, after rooting the phone you can install any custom rom like lineage OS
romprovider.com
Follow the rom2box ZTE blaze 11 prime except from flashing both magisk patched boot.img (blade 10 prime have a/b slots) and vbmeta,.img (rom2box can't find it) . If you do flash magisk batch boot.img, it will prevent the phone from booting up (can't verify). Just flash the stock boot.img from rom2box output folder. and reboot
To bypass the boot verification, you need to unlock the bootloader. You need to go back into rom2box, mediatek>service! tab and try each buttons (format first, unlock method 1, method 2). This will unlock bootloader and now you can flash the patched magisk via rom2box firmware flashers. You might need to reboot it into edl multiple times to completely flash the boot.img.

Upgrade a Magisk rooted Nord to Android 11

Hi all,
I rooted a Nord of a friend of mine. Since then he installed several updates and reapplied Magisk before reboot, as usual. Now his Nord is running the lastest Android 10 release, Magisk v21.4 and Magisk Manager v22.
Today the upgrade to Android 11 is offered on his Nord. He asked me whether he can peform the update as usual, with applying Magisk - then v22 - to the OTA slot.
I cannot answer it, because I own a 7t, and never performed an OS upgrade.
Does he has to follow the standard process, or is something special to be performed to leave the Nord rooted?
Thx in advance
Hi!
This process is pretty simple.
DONT REBOOT THE PHONE DURING STEPS!!
Step by step:
-download the last Oxygen update with oxygen updater on play store (dont install this update now!).
-go on magisk manager main page and uninstall magisk image.
-install your downloaded update (go to phone setting and apply a local update)
-go on magisk manager main page again and install magisk on the inactive slot
-reboot phone
-enjoy ;p
Thank you.
What I don't understand: You say
-download the last Oxygen update with oxygen updater on play store (dont install this update now!).
-...
-install your downloaded update (go to phone setting and apply a local update)
Why do I need to download the update package the Oygen Updater when I should use the update package in the phone settings? For what do I need the first one?
The major difference to the standard process is that one need to uninstall Magisk on the active slot before applying the update. Have I understood that correctly?
1- Download official oxygen os update with "Oxygen Updater" app.
Now the update package is stocked on your internal memory.
2- Install this update package (previously downloaded with "Oxygen Updater" app) with the official updater on phone setting.
(Local update use file stocked on your phone)
Download just one update package, not two.
Sorry for the mistake..
My friend did what proposed.
