Hey guys recently I used the app System UI Tuner off of the Xda labs app repo & I found (to my absolute enjoyment) that it worked on my unrooted ZTE Majesty Pro, which got me to thinking is there a way to grant specific users (Say you find your UID) a permission like android.permission.WRITE_SECURESETTINGS & then get some sort of escalated privileges possibly with ADB? Just curious sorry if i sound stupid lol.
Edit: Or is there a way to fix R/W permission issues at all, even for specific apps only using this method? thanks!

I'm looking for an app permission manager for Android L. I'm using the Pure White, I've previously used xprivacy through xposed or its been built into the ROM. If someone could point me to one, I would really appreciate it!! Thanks!
Couldn't find anything myself. I hope we get xposed working again soon!
Anybody found anything? Any half decent permission manager will do
Hi,
i'm using App Ops https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.findsdk.apppermission
to manage the app permissions. Of course root is required.
Hi everyone,
I am about to install the Mi Fit App on my Z3. The app wants some permissions that I am not willing to give it.
Is there any way without root to limit the permissions? (A Mi fit app without all permissions would help at first, too )
Thanks.
Hey guys,
I need an app to deny some permissions to certain apps on 5.1 (LMY47I), since there are apps I have installed that, I think, require some very intrusive ones. After a little search I found AppOps.
But since I am not rooted right now, could you guys confirm if this app is working correctly on 5.1 (LMY47I) on the N5. Or recommend another app, preferecially one that does not require Xposed, since it's still in Alpha (don't get me wrong, I love Xposed).
Thank you :good:
I can't post URLs, but the one I found is the one by Droid Mate.

Why donot you try a custom ROM like CM which has a build in privacy support. You can actually deny any permission to any app in settings.
There are some other apps but mostly would need ROOT i am afraid
Quote if you expect a response

Oh, I didn't know that CM had that feature builted in, definitely gonna check it out.
But is it really capable of denying ANY permission if an App? Because I tried AppOps in my rooted tablet and not all permissions could be denied, some don´t even show up on the App options.
Thanks for your answer :good:

Yes it does. I have been using it for a long time.
Hello Everyone,
I have rooted my phone and am using GPS joystick Fake GPS location app from the play store. I am using a private mode within this app which helps me to create a copy of the app with a different name so that POGO does not detect it.
Everything works fine till here. I am using Lucky patcher to change the installed cloned app as a system app and it asks for a restart, after restart the cloned app goes missing.
I have no idea what is gng wrong and would need some light and help on this.
I am using a Xiaomi Mi Max
Android Version : 7.0 NRD90M
Android Security Patch Level: 2017-11-01
MIUI Version: MIUI Stable 9.2

As long as you use banned apps (lucky patcher) you will find no help here.

You can't use Titainium backup that does it but other then that I don't know. I don't mess with things like that.
Also just be careful. They are banning people caught cheating. To the point of banning the device itself.

Use titanium backup. Saw the auto correct was a mistake. That is really the only way but even then it has been detected by the game.

Can we not make an app a system app without using any of these apps?
IF i am right does it not just move the data/app to priv/app folder?

It does but it requires root. You could try just moving it with a file explorer but no promises it will work. Normally system apps only work when flashed. Also they tend to code things to look in the data partition. So moving it to system can cause issues.
You can try a few but no promises.

The phone is rooted for sure, but moving the data/app to priv/app then when I reboot it.. the files go missing! As if it was never pasted there...! That is what is causing all the issues!

That's most likely due to the signature. All apps in system need to have the same signature. Without it the apk won't run at all.
I can't help any more then that. People here don't use multiple versions of the same app.
Hello,
I have lot many apps installed in my Oneplus 6, I am looking for working App Manager which can be used to disallow Apps from Auto Start when Phone is Switch On. This was default available in my previous Oppo F3 Plus.

Update: My phone is not rooted and using default Oneplus OS. I don't want to root my phone for this.
Thanks,

I use 3C All-in-one toolbox. It's a complex app that can do a whole bunch of things. Under it's "App Manager" section you can set exactly what you're looking for per app.
It works 100% on my rooted OP6, but I don't know if you would need to root to enable this functionality in 3C.
Renovate has this feature enable his magisk rom.
