Lost security unlock - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

So I paired my phone with Bluetooth device for smart unlock, and have now lost all lock screen security. Even if Bluetooth if off. You can unlock phone as if it has no security. This is a serious bug, can someone confirm?

Nope... I use a Bluetooth Smartbanzd to unlock when I am neer the phone and it works as it should, when away asks for pin / fingerprint. My model MHA-L29C432B182

[Q] Disable Mandatory Screen Lock when connecting to 802.1x

My work has an 802.1x all over campus, but to connect to it, I have to enable a screen lock pattern/pin. "You must set a lock screen PIN or password before you can use credential storage."
I could connect phone with my iPhone, and even my Galaxy Tab 8.9 connects fine. But for the One X, I need this dumb thing
There seem to be ways to disable this on phones like the Galaxy Nexus, but our phones don't seem to have this option. Is there a hack anywhere I can use to get rid of this? It doesn't seem to be a policy set on work's side, just ICS.
I just set a PIN, input my login information, make sure it's connecting okay, then go remove the PIN.

Lollipop Smart Lock

I've been using Lollipop's Smart Unlock with my Gnex and Moto 360. Works great but it appears that it locks down the device on the basis of the connection state rather than using the signal strength of the Bluetooth connection to gauge the proximity of your trusted devices. Perhaps it does use the latter, I'm not sure. Is there any literature as to how this works?
Yes, it seems to be the connection state. I don't have any bluetooth devices that can be permanently connected to my Nexus 7, so it is a bit useless and IMHO misdesigned.
I had bluetooth proximity authentication working on Linux with a modified version of pam_blue, and it just required my paired phone to be nearby, not connected. I don't know if it is possible to spoof bluetooth MAC addresses, but if so then I can't see how making the actual connection would help.
Smart Lock with NFC seems to not work at all, face unlock does not work well for me, and apps like Skiplock are not allowed to work with Lollipop, so I am a bit disappointed.

where is smart unlock?

On previous phones I had an option not to ask for fingerprint or pin to login when connected tto my wifi.
where is this option on this phone?

Disabling lock screen when home

Hi, just upgraded to Lollipop and like the way you can set it to disable the lock screen pin when a Bluetooth device is connected but is there anyway you can do the same with a wifi connection?
Basically I don't want to have to put in a pin when the device is connected to my home wifi.

Switch screenlock to swipe when connected to home network

Hey guys, I wanted to set my honor 8 to automatically switch the screen lock option from pin to swipe when I'm connected to my home WiFi network, but it I can't seem to find such an option.
There isn't one as far as I know.
Very strange... It is a native Android option that I used to use on my Nexus 4 with Android 5.0

Alternatively you may try to set your phone to Smart Unlock with your home's bluetooth device or a bluetooth wristband
I did try in my car. It doesn't work ... it still asks me for my pin to unlock...

maybe possible with Tasker or some similar app.
But not sure, you have to try

Well, if you haven't already done this, please try:
Settings > Advance settings > Security > Trusted agent > switch on Smart Unlock
Settings > Screen lock & password > Smart Unlock > enable your Bluetooth device
It may or may not work with all Bluetooth devices....but my H8 is working fine with my Ford Sync.
Smart Unlock works fine for me on Bluetooth.
I use Tasker though for more advanced options, such as turning off Wi-Fi and setting my screen timeout to maximum when I connect to my car. You could do just about anything you want via Tasker.
