hi . new to the forum.
I am wondering if anyone can help. I have a problem with notifications not showing ( WhatsApp, snapchat,instagram,...etc) on the icon itself. for example when I receive WhatsApp , it does not show on the green icon and instead it show on the bar notification at the top. yeah by the way I installed package disabler pro and I disabled some apps. maybe the problem with it and if so what app should I enable again to solve the problem
thanks in advance.

That's what causes a lot of problems, disabling packages you're not sure of. Take a look at this thread, may shed some light onto which one you need to reenable.

Hey everyone,
I was using my Xoom earlier today when I noticed that my notifications were no longer being shown on the bar even though I had notifications. At first, I thought it may be an app I downloaded recently that caused a problem but after uninstalling all my recent apps my notifications would still not appear. The only recent thing I have done to my Xoom is put the recovery onto it but that shouldn't have changed anything. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The notifications still show up when I click on the clock but what I don't get are the icons on the bottom bar indicating I have a notification. But to answer your question, yes I do have notifications turned on.
problem fixed... started working out of nowhere I don't know why...
Hello fellow XDA members,
I'm kinda stuck with a problem, i did already read alot of topics similar to this one but none of them has the same problem
i already have made a backup in case of anything going wrong or screwing up the ROM.
The problem is as followed:
I don't receive notifications from downloaded apps in the status bar.
Example: An whatsapp message is coming in, i hear a sound but nothing appears in my status bar
This is the same with facebook, twitter, email, snapchat and more..
But its not only with push messaging, also no notifications when apptoide installs an app, or when the play store is downloading and installing an app..
The wierd thing is, that i do get a message in the status bar when i receive a text message or a missed call.
What could be wrong?
Greetings,
Kevin
bump? :/
Hi,
i am using Tasker to show some notifications. The notfication uses the Holo Light Icon Pack provided by Crafty Apps:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.ipack.holdlightmd
After playing with the new notification feature in Lollipop i disabled the notifications for this Icon Pack (long press on notification
and pressing the little bell) and i am no longer receiving these notifications (stupid me ... thought i can reactivate them easily)
I wanted to re enable this notifications but the Icon Pack is not shown in the list of apps which can be managed with
the build in notification center (Sound and Notification).
Is there any way to re enable the notification for this package by manipulating a file or database.
Thanks everyone
After testing a little bit i got a workaround for my problem.
I can change the Title of the notification in Tasker. After this the notification appears again.
Workaround ....
Edit: Nope, i dont know why the notification appeared for a moment. But it is gone again...
Problem solved
Ok. After searching another hour i found the right keyword combination to find the answer to my problem.
It was a Layer 8 Problem. I just applied a notification filter .....
If someone else is stupid enough and does not know what he is doing:
Here is the link: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...ell-on-notification-meaning-in-cm12s-lollipop
Problem solved.
Awesome! ?
Thanks, thread closed.
So I tried this on my main social apps and they are appearing flawlessly. I hope they are useful.
Please follow the below steps to solve it:
1. Slide upward from the bottom of the screen to bring up the Control Center, hold and press the WhatsApp icon and click Add to white list;
2. Enter i Manager>Power manager>Excessive background battery usage>turn on the switch of WhatsApp;
3. Access i Manager>App manager>Autostart manager>turn on the switch of WhatsApp.
This worked for me with my Samsung Gear Fit2 watch. You have to make sure all of the Samsung apps and plugins associated with the Gear Fit2 are enabled in iManager (iOS hints everywhere... Lol)
Ok uninstalling iManager app notification from all app works excellent now

So I'm dealing with a slight problem. Honestly could just be something to get used to. I have the India Model (Global Rom), and I deal with a notification issue for my lock screen. I've already done adb and gotten rid of iManager, but I still seems to have an issue with notifications coming through.
This is mostly with Android Messages (I use this as my default). If I leave a notification of a message on my lockscreen for too long, it eventually disappears and indicates on my home screen I no longer have a notification (Using Nova). But when I enter the app of course the message is still there and says unread. Its a small problem, but it can become annoying.
Its as if I leave a notification in the status bar for too long, it eventually disappears and then indicates I no longer have a notification. Is this just a normal thing for an international device? ( I am in the states by the way).
Its a small gripe, because otherwise I still love the device and I'm glad I waited for the India model. Its my daily driver for now.
anyone have problem with whatsapp vibration unable to change into the default/short/long options... no matter which option i chose... the whatsapp vibration will just revert back to the default vibration.... my group msg vibrating like mad instead of the short vibration that I really like for grp chat....
Easiest way to deal with problems on the Vivo Nex= just sell the phone and go with Xiaomi or OnePlus.
Hi guys! I have a V15 (not pro but there's apparently no separate forum for it) but I am not getting WhatsApp notifications on it. If I choose the popup notifications in the app that works, but I find that quite annoying. A notification in the notification bar would be more than enough, but it's not there. So I have to manually open WhatsApp to check for new messages. Any suggestion on how to fix it? It worked in the beginning but after a week or two it stopped working.
Thanks in advance!
