That was, of course, a joke - I will continue to maintain my stable stock kernel, presumably as long as I own the device, maybe even a bit longer. It's great that we now have multiple devs who bring variety.
great to see that someone else is finally seeing the potential of thalamus' hotplugging routines.
Which ones are you using (modified from franco or the original ones)?
Good to see another dev!

So I got already init.d Support wil upload next version with that and kexec suport for mutiboot

Is it possible you're going to release a version for data2sd like Hund's kernel? That would be great. Thanks.
With quadrant your kernel is about 150point more than that V2 stock kernel and it's flying when I put on performance mode (as fast as Hund's OC kernel). I ran about 10 quadrant and the cpu temp is about 42C. Good job for your first time!!
Edit: I set the governor to lagfree and balance mode, pretty smooth and fast, very nice for daily driver, but once I set it on performance mode this thing is flying...kid you not!

Yes I can do that
Next version will be Linaro 4.7 2013.03 Compiled so if should fly!
So far, this kernel (V1) is running really smooth with interactive and SIO. I tweaked interactive a bit to improve battery.
I noticed minimum freq never drops under 513 MHz and there is hotplug tuning vs just "max active cores" like in stock.
Questions:
Why minimum freq at 513?
Is there a way to tune hotplug to only use 2 cores?
When flashing V2 over V1, should I wipe cache and dalvik?
I'd love to know, and appreciate you guys helping me learn more about kernels and settings (I don't mean for the questions to be demanding or rude, I just wanted to ask in a straightforward manner, right to the point).
Greatly appreciate your work, flashing V2 now!!

1 I think I know why minimun its at 513 will check that later
How that of tuning to use 2 cores only
Hotplug turn on/off CPUs automatically based on frequency..
V2 over V1 no you will be ok just flashing on top of it
Always good to see another kernel for our infinity :good: Just wondering what everyone's experience with battery life has been compared to stock or that's kernel?

Max, I have a question, is it possible to make the powersaver/balance/performance mode stick after a reboot by just using the UI?
Edit: Also your kernel is only using the following frequencies: 1700, 1600, 1000, 620, 513 and deep sleep.

don't think there's a limit, just some gpu's will lose stability at a point. as with all overclocking, your mileage may vary.

The moto g's GPU didn't lose stability suprisingly, running very smoothly with very few stutters(less than stock). Also, can anyone give me info for battery life, for me its enough, but I want to hear from everyone else.

My work: SmoothGKernel for the Moto G, and remember always hit the thanks button if anyone helped.
Sorry guys, I wish I could upload sooner, but I'm getting errors and looking for a fix.
Crazy game experience using SmoothGKernel V2, been playing UFC from EA Sports and it's just amazing. My eyes couldn't even keep up because it was so responsive. No disrespect, but I thought there was at least gonna be a lag while tapping the screen, but there was none. SmoothGKernel has a lot of potential for sure.

Great! I come from the i9505 so I'm familiar with Alucard. Anyway just a question. My Big cores seem to come online more often then the little cores do, even when just doing UI stuff. Is this how the 615 behaves normally? I'm using alucard for both sets of CPUs and autosmp.

I think it's how the governor handles it... The big cores aren't always online using the settings provided, most of the time the little cores handles most of the UI, Games and stuff. I will try using alucard and see.

seems like autosmp hotplug is the issue. I turn it off, all cores stay online, the big cores stay at 200mhz while the small ones are used more actively unless load is heavier then all are turned on. under no load they're all at 200mhz but none of them go off
New build up, changelog and download links are in #3 post. Also @davtse have been using Alucard governor with AutoSMP, Big cores are usually online. May need to find more info about that, though this is a WIP...

After testing over the course of last night, i've found that most of the hotplugs have the same issue, but Mako just doesn't work at all. I think the problem is that none of the hotplugs are meant for octacore big.small cpus. If you look in alucard's folder in /sys/kernel/alucard, it only has variables up to core 3, 4-7 are missing
Testing new kernel with doubletap2wake and sweep2wake implemented in kernel... About the hotplugs, I may need more time on that.
------- Edit --------
Doubletap2wake and Sweep2Wake/Sweep2Sleep implemented in kernel but not working fully... Either it needs to be implemented in touchscreen drivers or rom... @k2wl

Could the settings, is your system set in performance or battery saving mod? Because that could overwrite the settings... Other factors could be like what @davtse said...
Also I'm still uploading a new version with updated files like thermal and cpu freq... Updated governors and dt2w/s2w are also included. For those who needs the source, sorry though, can't push to github with mobile data...

Powered By White Wolf Kernel
Kernel use a simple free and user friendly kernel control application called Synapse by @AndreiLux for configuration purposes(slightly adding more functionality).
Synapse is included in zip and flashed by default as a system app.
Stand alone kernel use UKM - Lite version. It does contain less settings than standard version for less advanced users. For those who wish to use full power of Synapse additional UKM zip have to be flashed after Kernel.
UKM Full flashable zip download link
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=154993
Flashing instructions
1. Flash in recovery no black magic
2. If missing tunables for governors set SElinux to permissive
3. Other custom kernel on top of the rom - NO . Why? Kernel is built in the rom so unexpected behavior possible. No support given it such case. Please understand.
Compatibility list:
Kernel have been tested with official and beta Oxygen Os

Ok i was using Alucard on both the clusters and CFQ as io scheduler.was butter smooth. will try this combination. Also i used ur kernel before u quit from OOS development. Then u had Alucard hotplug. Any plans of adding again? Another query from what i read CFQ is better for multitasking compared to fiops and fiops has read write issues?

There will be no hotplug driver in this kernel as our cpu doesnt hotplug from its nature and noticed that there was no benefits from hotplugging,
FIOPS combined with 2048mb read ahead is best for overal performance ( daily useage , average multitask and stuff like that ) sometimes it can lag but personaly never lagged fo me

Ok..so should I change from 512 to 2048?
Another thing- in blu_spark kernel's governor there is a mode called Fastlane.. enabling and setting values would result in the UX being fluid etc. I experienced kind of better fluidity with both cores on Alucard governor. Does Alucard have something similar to Fastlane incorporated?
Hi All,
I had to add small fix to OXY kernel .
I have re uploaded it version remains unchanged
enjoy

If possible please increase charging current rate. Or option to control charging current just like thunderzap control and qc3.0 support.
