Can't install third party apps - Sony Xperia XZ Premium Questions & Answers

Can't install anything unless it's from the play store. I click next and nothing happens. I have no screen filter installed (that I know of), unknown apps is checked. I've tried clearing caches just clicking next does nothing.

Reset the phone.
Go into Backup & Reset, Factory Data Reset and tap Reset Phone
You can also use Xperia Companion on your pc.

That sorted it. Annoying though.

you might be able to unlock it with the associated gmail address with the tab.. you just have to keep inputing the password..
Fastload a new img file to it: boot, userdata should do the trick

How did you use password so that after factory reset it still works?
I would do the same
There is option to encrypt tablet and its data, apps etc but it also says that after factory reset all that is useless . . .

this never happened before I recently changed my ROM. I tried wiping the dalvik but that was no help. Do I need to wipe the cache also? Could anyone help me out?
I've gotten that when I've accidentally restored an app's data without the app itself, then tried to install the app. Go into /data/app and delete the app's corresponding data folder. That might work.

Unable to install GM31CB update (t-mobile).

Just finished setting up a new OnePlus 7 Pro, bought at a T-Mobile store. Everything seems fine but I am having trouble installing the system update. See screenshot, it says couldn't update, installation problem. Tapping "try again" doesn't help, the same thing just happens. Also tried rebooting. I didn't do any bootloader unlocking or anything, just stock setup out of the box. There is a work profile running. Any ideas?

factory reset and try again?
or download the zip and update manually? it might be a t-mobil issue.
Hmm, I tried again tonight and it went through ok. False alarm?

You can't manual install on the T-Mobile version that option isn't there

There is no sign in option in REALME ACCOUNT in setting

In order to get access to the realme UI 2.0(based on android 11) early access, log in into realme account is must... But me along with all these people failed to find log in option in the settings manu. could anyone guide us please. I am currently using realme 5 pro, stock Os, stock recovery, no root, no bootloader unlocked. And don't intend to do em either.
I tried reset all settings, downloaded realme store app, realme link app and loged into those but none of em worked, although I am pretty sure factory reset can solve the problem. Since Factory reset will cause casualties so I am looking for any method other than that.
And thanks in advance for your reply.

Keep updating stuff (though some will be in the background without you knowing) and I think it should work eventually
But, suppose you could try a factory reset. I'm hesitant to suggest the trying 1,000 things gauntlet lol. If it doesn't work after a factory reset then its likely just not going to work right now for you. There could be 1 million settings combinations or an outside reason where nothing will work.
