Lineage 14.1 for Honor 6X

Hi! I haven´t got many experience as a developer. I took some time and tried to port Lineage 14.1 to Honor 6X. I don´t know if rom works or even boots and it would be nice if someone can test it!
REMEMBER: This is only a test build and it wasnt tested before so flash the Rom only if you did full reset insturctions and did a FULL TWRP Backup before.
I AM NOT RESPONSABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR BRICK OF YOUR DEVICE WHILE FLASHING THIS TEST BUILD ON YOUR DEVICE. YOU DECIDE IT ON YOUR OWN AND MAYBE IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THE DEVS TEST THIS BEFORE. TEST ROM ONLY IF YOU KNOW TO RESTORE SYSTEM.

It would be great to have some details like the source, credits, instructions, which kernel is it using... Also knowing if it works before posting it would have been a plus.

Because there is no source code link , no source for kernel etc etc..

@XePeleato @Rajeev I am sorry for all that but i haven´t many experience as a dev and this rom was only (tried) to port it from an other device to honor6x. at the moment i need my device 24/7 working so i cant test if it boots.

@Rajeev is right. No credits. I'm sure OpenKirin Team sources are used in this. No link to the sources in OP. No other details whatsoever.

Nope. Different SoC.

probably he took p9 lite linOs 14.1 , since both devices have hi6250 soc (the only difference is that honorr 6x soc is overclocked )

Looks like no one tested. Yet.

i download the zip, and without flashing i know that will never work. Like felix, has unzip rom zip file, and rezip into a "los14" folder ...
i have unzip the rom, re zip without the "los14" folder. Twrp 3.0.x give me an error 7. try later with Twrp 3.1.1.

If nothing else, it's a reminder that people want Los 14.
OP, good try. Keep working on it and coordinate with others who are.

for me, already try to build a LOS-14. For now, not booting, but only 3 days working for. I have switch with my old nexus 5 and let my honor 6x for dev.
i'm not a rom dev, but a senor web dev, i know linux .... so i just try (but no result for now) !

[bug camera all rom nougat]

in all the roms I install, there is no camera app

I have the same problem on my BLL-L21 and none of the developers gave me a solution

It's a common issue, and I don't know what's causing it

Thats due to vendor... Install stock vendor as an image in twrp nd install rom... If vendor is wrong, app present in system/priv-app but wont show on homescreen...nd give error on opening...

You will have to download the firmware and extract via Huawei extractor. This seems a different model than c432 and c185 hence not shared yet

Please do start so that we can help you in developing it by giving feedbacks..the major issue that I have seen till now is of twrp..I dunno why twrp of nougat is not recognising the internal storage space even when I downgraded to nougat. & While using the Oreo twrp I m getting the error 7

If you upgraded manually through the oreo roms provided here, i think that is the reason for TWRP's inability to read the storage. I flashed the TWRP flashable oreo rom and faced the same issue. I couldnt even use MI flash tool to get back to nougat. Had to resort to an unbricking guide.

No I have always flashed the ROM from the mi website..havent flashed any rom from here yet... Even the nougat I have is the one having October security patch...dunno what's this issue...mostly flashing roms has been a easy walk in the park

I tried to fix some bugs...
i can somehow manage to fix audio from porting some libs from mido rr
but i suggest you not to build any other rom as we are making Caf based 15.1:good:

@jedld was working on it. Maybe ask him what is happening with Lineage 15.

I can't say abandoned, more on I didn't have enough time to complete it. I've been busy on other projects lately. I'll probably get back to it soon, though I'll just jump to LIneage 15.1 or 16.0 instead on working on 15.0

Waiting for that rom. sir lineage os 14.1 for sm-t285 was really great. but the CAMERA?.. do we have any fix for that sir? it says "CAN'T CONNECT TO CAMERA" whenever i want to use camera.. can't video chat?.

I am using jedld's LineageOS 14.1 rom and have no problems with video chat on Line App. Maybe clear video camera cache is settings|apps.

Well...it's not that simple, even though it sounds simple.
You also have to check the chipset, graphics controller and partition layout. If these are the same, then the custom rom would probably work. But, you need to look at the install script to see if it checking for model number. Also, I would look at the build.prop file and see what the dpi setting is. You may have to change it for your phone.

You have to install the TWRP version for your phone. TWRPs are not universal. They are built for each phone model.

Which one. Haky has many ROMs. Try them out instead. I recommend Arrow OS or AOSP Extended

Most likely haky has discontinued it. So just flash another one as of you when get the link, it will have an outdated patch and bugs which won't be fixed

Don't know anything about this but if you want a easy-to-install Pie ROM with tons of feature try either AOSP Extended or Arrow OS. LOS 16 is also available. All can be found in the P8 Lite 2017 Development Section

No. Infact most of the ROM for 6X can be found in the P8 Lite 2017 Development
