New Firmware available I9305XXBMA3 17/01/2013 (4.1.2)

Hi all,
Today Samsung Updates posted a new firmware for i9305 (unlocked), i can't test it right now...anyone flashed it can share opinion?

Maybe it is easier to port stuff and Roms from the note 2 as from the normal s3?

Will do, still at least an hour to go, host site is slow as I have 120mb fibre optic!
Does anyone know if I flash this will I still be able to go back to my current rom. Anyone think that root may not work on this? Do we have to wait for a speciifc root or can I just use the same root process as before?

If you have mobile odin, you can flash this and tick the ever root option and you will not lose root, but you can use the same root process as before. I have deodexed, rooted and flashed this, now playing around. It does not seem to have multi window but there does seem to be some minor improvements so far, but still playing around with it.

Thanks for the info. My download finished but then realised I had grabbed ALJ3 and not ALJ4 lol! so just waiting for it to download again.
Did you use ALJ3 or ALJ4? Can you post the de-odexed version somewhere? as downloading from Hotfile is a nightmare!
Shame about multi window though!

I got lj3. I didn't see lj4. I will have to have a look again later but I can't access the sam mobile site at the moment just says bad gateway. I can't upload anything at the moment but will try upload the stock deodexed tonight if get a chance, may need to get lj4 instead though if that's up

Yeah I have the same with sammobile so I grabbed them from http://samsung-updates.com/latest-firmware/
Will not have time to try until later tomorrow now but if you can grab LJ4 may be worth giving it a go!

Finally we have a new rom from October !!! I was beginning to think i9305 would forever lag behind i9300.
Just one question (forgive me as I have never flashed an i9305 rom before, only i9000).
Often with the s1 we needed to repartition when flashing, which wiped data. If I flash over my i9305T stock rom, will all my data/settings be preserved as is the case with a Kies update? I also don't know if the fact that my device is i9305T makes any difference... I have read that others have successfully flashed i9305 roms but I don't know if their data was preserved.
Thx to anyone who can help me! No rush as I'm downloading the rom ever so slowly.. .xD

CM10.1 lt. nightly p3100 Phone issue

Hello guys,
First I want to give a big thank to the devs for the great work. It's an awsome rom.
I'vo only one big problem by using the phone. I can here the called person very well but he can't here me. It's like the mic doesn't work but in all other apps like voicenote, evernote, etc. it works. I'm sure it's an issue in the phone.

News:
I found out that the mic works fine if I restard the tab and use the phone without earphone-headset. After connecting the headset via the earphoneport no more speaking is possible. Even after disconnecting the headset no voice/noise will be submitted until I restart the tab.
I've learned about the fix for bluetooth-headsets in the rom threat in the developer board. Is it possible that this fix could help me too?

Good morning,
I've flashed the latest update this morning but it changed nothing. Until I use the built in mic I can talk and the other one can hear me but if I connect my headset no more noise will be submitted. After disconnecting the problem still exists and the built in mic doesn't work too. After restarting built in mic will work fin again.

It's nice too see how users getting help here. Couple of days and 2 updates since first post and no one is willing to give an answer. At least you could write that the problem is unknown and no advice could be given.

I too have the same problem. I now have CM10.1 15th Feb 2013 build...And still the same problem persists. Sometimes RESTART device solves the problem. But after some calls the same problems surfaces again. CM9 stable worked fine. CM10 and CM 10.1 seem to have this problem

I've fixed the problem with flashing the baseband\modem from the latest firmware matching exactly to my device and region from sammobile.com.
You can flash the complete stock firmware image via odin and than reflash your favorit custom rom via cwm,, or you just extract the modem out of the firmware and only flash this by keeping your actual rom.

Which version did You exactly flashed. I am facing the same problem and can't find working modem. Used last official version for Poland, also tried never one for France (4.1.2). It doesn't seems to be working...

I observe the same issue with my TAB P3100, if I use the headset once to listen music or answer to a phone call, the people I try to call never hear me. Yesterday I reinstall a nightly version from CyanogenMode P3100 website "cm-10.1-20130409-NIGHTLY-p3100.zip " and the problem is not fix.

I installed the last CM10.1-p3100-M3 version, the issue is still here.
Now I had to reboot the TAB in order to be able to place or receive a call.
Someone has another workaround.?

Users report that on the latest nightly build everything works fine.

In The latest nightly the mic is fine.

I was looking for images for 6p & just noticed fugu got them faster. Working now butll try to update tonight. Did you flash TWRP and root?

My Nexus Player must of updated sometime yesterday. I woke up this morning and it has 7.0 Build NRD90M. It was on Preview 7.0 Build NPD90G. Everything seems to be working fine here. I don't really see any differences either as of yet. I will update if I run into any issues.
I'm keeping an eye on my Nexus 6. I see the system image for the Nexus 6 is not available yet.

I just enrolled in the Beta program and it immediately sent me Android 7.

My Nexus player seems much faster. Scrolling through the menus as well as app opening speed is much quicker.

Same here. Last time I played with this thing it was unusable. Flashed the Android N Factory Image today and this thing seems to be performing nicely.

Got my nexus player yesterday and started by updating it until it was all up to date. I then installed my apps and set everything up. Later last night I got the Android 7 update via OTA and installed it and now some apps don't start. I can still search and access the content from the apps, but if I launch them from the menu they stop working. The ones I have noticed right now is Viki and Crunchyroll.

I'd like to know as well. Installing the SuperSU zip from TWRP didn't work for me, it always failed with an error while trying to create a ramdisk backup

Has anyone experienced casting issues? I cannot cast videos from Chrome or Youtube. Everything seems to work as usual, but then I got an error before the video starts

I don't know if this was the case before (I got the Player in June for a discount), but on Nougat it still recognizes every keyboard only as QUERTY both on USB-OTG and bluetooth, while I only have QWERTZ keyboards. And there is no way to change the mapping from US to other keyboards, like German.

Yes, there are still casting issues from Chrome and Youtube in general.
I do have the Nexus Player and a Chromecast 2 connected to the same TV. I tried casting some youtube videos by SpaceX from PC/WIN10/Chrome and from my Motorola X Play.
Some videos need to be started several times from Chrome to play on the NPlayer, some refuse to cast both from PC and Android on the NPlayer, but all work immediately on the Chromecast 2.

What I like about Nougat is the possibility to selcect the output via USB-OTG in the Dev Options. USB audio is now selectable to connect to a USB-DAC.

So I tried system-Mode root with no luck. next thing I might try is to remove the line from supersu zip which creates a backup of the ramdisk. becaus who needs backups!

the 5ghz band is not working it worked on on android 6.0.1

I rooted using BETA-SuperSU-v2.71-20160331103524.zip the latest super su doesn't seem to work

UK Huawei P9 EMUI 5 / Android N BETA Test (official)

Good news for Huawei P9 owners, we are giving some of you the chance to help us test out EMUI 5 and Android N on your Huawei P9.
Sounds great yeah? Just remember this is going to be pre-release software, things may be broken, you may end up struggling to use your phone, but that's all good we want you to help us find & squash the bugs.
So what do you need to do to get the new stuff on your phone? Well that is easy, you install an app, enroll on the project and then towards the end of the month we will be pushing out the OTA to those that have had their applications approved (First 200).
So what do you need?
- An open market (unlocked) version of Huawei P9 (Eva-L09)
- To be based in the UK.
- To have an active SIM card in your phone.
- To be on build number C432B166 (Latest UK open market firmware)
- It cannot be bootloader unlocked, it cannot have a custom recovery or be rooted to receive the OTA.
You can get the APK for the BETA app & the guidelines for how to install and enrol from here (sorry we can't post links yet.....) "h t t p://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91768&version=358232&siteCode=uk"
Once downloaded install it on your phone, when you run the app on your phone you will be prompted to either log into an existing Huawei ID account (the one you use to download EMUI themes will do) or to create a new one, once done you can accept the terms
To enroll on the BETA test you will need to be on build number C432B166 (for UK), after your enrollment and approval, an OTA to update UK Huawei P9 from C432B166-> C432B182 will be prompted. Once you are on C432B182, you will get the N version on Beta release.
Numbers are limited, when we hit the limit of enrolled users that is it. This is a project to help find bugs and issues before the general rollout of future updates for the Huawei P9. It is not a general public rollout.

I have it on very good authority they are testing a solution and this should be made public soon (assuming the testing goes ok)

I'm on c432b182 in the UK with an unlocked handset. Registered on previous link. No update over the last week for me.
Downloaded the beta app above and installed but when I try to log in it says failes

I used the B166 update.app but it says B170 in the info

That's what I keep getting

Two full days so far, not one blip, everything has worked perfectly, however I didn't reset, just installed over, once the fix for the beta app is out,, ill do a fresh start and push out harder.

I cannot use my fingerprint to unlock anymore....everytime I use gesture to lock screen. after using fingerprint to unlock it always asks for password.
Said "Device administrator locked device"
How do I turn this off? Is it kind of security on Android N?
PS. Using Nova Launcher and already tried using most of screen lock apps in the store.

big issue: Google services unable to connect

I have bought OnePlus 7 pro [12/256] in China and it seems like they removed all Google's apps except for G services and Pay.
Even after installing updated versions of the Store and Services, I still cannot connect to the G servers [yes I am still in China and I am using VPN Express to connect]
What should I do?
I tried to flash phone with the international ROM, but it won't aloud it as Chinese ROM is a higher version...

only Android phones sell in China would face this issue. they have a special cn gms core instead of a nomal one.

Partial solution
You can change Oxygen to Hydrogen Global version to remove Google Services block
[simply by downloading global version from the OP website and installing it through the local upgrade],
but it comes with the price:
Text Messages are not graphical anymore
No Spam/Advert calls warnings
There's no access to the OP Market which is quite essential if you're in China
So it seems like there is no way to have everything from the both words in one phone...?
