Installation Instructions
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
Coming from another rom/clean install:
Reboot to recovery.
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache, data
Flash rom zip.
Reboot to system once
again reboot to recovery flash gapps.(must)
Updating from a previous build/dirty flash:
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache in recovery
Flash rom zip, gapps and any other zips you may use
Reboot
If you want root access, SuperSU will need to be flashed, v2.78 works for me. After flashing, your device may boot twice before boot animation, don't worry it'll be fine after that.
Some users reported 2.52 Beta worked for them.
You can use phhSuperuser as well for root access, get the it from here and you need to install the play store app also.
Substratum support is there as long as you have root and latest Substratum app. Some themes may have a little catching up to do, have fun testing them!
If you have any issues, grab a log after a clean flash, upload and link here please. Add steps to reproduce the issue in your post.
Do not report issues dirty flashing this over some unofficial build or with some kernel flashed.
Logcat Extreme app is great as you can choose to start recording a log just before reproducing an error and stop recording just after so you log just the part you need.
Xposed is not supported here, if you want to run it and have issues, try an Xposed thread for support and bug reports here only welcome with a clean install with no Xposed present.
Selinux is permissive for now. Default hot plug is MSM.
Make sure to state which rom you are running when asking for support

Installation Notes
Its extremely important to backup your current OS prior to installing.
Clean flash instructions:
When coming from either stock or another custom ROM you must preform a clean install.
Boot into custom recovery
Select Wipe/Advanced wipe
Check system, data, dalvik cache and cache (if you select internal you will lose all internal data, so please make sure you have a back up)
Swipe to wipe
Go to install
Select ROM zip add and select your GApps zip
Swipe to flash
Reboot system when complete
Dirty flash instructions:
Boot into custom recovery
Go to Install
Select the updated zip
Swipe to flash
Reboot system when complete
Clear Cache & ART (optional)

Been using since yesterday and I must say, the rom is very fluid despite of the customizations it has to offer. Thanks for this, hands down best rom so far! Hope you won't drop the development.
Edit : BTW, is there anyway you could maybe change the accent color of the rom to pixel blue ? Or maybe give us an option to change ? Cause cyan gives me a feeling of Android M tbh

the cyan color is default by GRZ team...
but u have theme resources option in 'the void' settings.
u can change theme using that...
or u can use substratum to change theme...

Hello, can you please update this rom with latest patches and security updates ? Also, I'd appreciate if you could compile Tesla Rom as well.
Reason : I've literally tried every rom available here (Nougat as well as Oreo) and only Tesla & Validus (this rom) are overall the best in terms of performance, battery life, and stability. Thanks for your hard work. Just a small request if you could please update this rom and also compile Telsa Nougat rom with latest patches and security updates.

Flashing Instruction
Always Have a full functional Backup. Just in case!
First time installing crDroid to your Redmi Note 4, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, vendor & data (or just cache, system and date for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash gapps
6) Boot up
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
You need to flash GApps every-time you flash the ROM.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

awesome! Gotta try this one. Missed all the RR customizations since I switched to LOS 16. Crdroid is even better than RR in terms of customizations. Also is OTA working?

Just installed. It's amazing, fluid, customizable and smooth! But, where is the music player man. Can't live without the cm music player :/

Leave it decrypted. Encryption is major issue with all pie roms.
After decryption,I found that decrypted device boot much faster..

External memory exfat not supported
Return to Oreo.
