Since the last update 389, my display won't turn itself of after leaving it on. I need to manually push the on/off button to make sure it gets turned off. Hoping to not have to reset the phone, so any suggestions on how to correct this error is appreciated!

most probably reset would fix that

Hi Ricky , am sure u might have set screen timeout to never or +30 minutes . Kindly check it and then done

Screen timeout is set to 1 min and even if I change it to something else screen still won't turn off by itself.
I'll guess I will have to do a factory reset.

Pls intimate us if u fixed the issue after a factory reset. This may help someone . And also try to check if any app was set as administrator ,if it interferes with screentimeout

Hey All,
I got Given a generic Onix tablet bought in Aldi stores in australia, Its running android 4.0 anyway i went to Factory Data\Reset the device when i hit yeh to it will erase everything it said powering off and now wont turn back on...charger plugged in and still nothing happens any idea what could have gone wrong?

when plugged into a USB it comes up Unknown Device i guess its stuffed
Hold the power button and volume down button for about ten secs it cou be longer it varies tablet to tablet that should bring u to reboot mode wipe date wipe cache and wipe user data then reboot
Ps it cud be power button and volume button up .the volume buttons allow u to go up and down through the menus thank me if this helps

First of all-mods, feel free to move this if it needs to go somewhere else.
Anyway, I just flashed Cyanogenmod 11, after rebooting from recovery after flashing the zip, I get nothing but a black screen. Now here's the odd part- it is recognized by Windows when plugged in as "LG Android USB Device." I have tried everything to hard reset it but nothing works. My gut feeling tells me its hard-bricked but just figured I'd see what everyone thinks. Any input is appreciated!

No matter what i do, nothing shows on the screen, so no. Oddly,when its plugged into my computer, Windows makes noises when it connects and disconnects.
Problem resolved. Finally after hours of trying to hard reset it, it has booted into the bootloader. Back to stock Android we go!

Still no luck... I can't get the screen to come on no matter what I do.

I Flashed my Huawei Y210-100 Firmware a couple of days ago to add Farsi language to massaging keyboard. I was done installing firmware on SD card and updated it from menu. after the updating operation was done the phone restarted, but LCD lost it's light and I can't see anything. Please help me fix the problem.

Thanks for your comments.No Mr.WoW. It doesn't show anything. but I can volume up and down and even answer a call by dragging on the screen.
I read somewhere I should increase the light of screen by going to it's setting in menu but I can find it in the dark. or I should increase it's light by attaching LCD to another same device but I don't find a same device. even that solution was not useful for other users.
is it a hardware problem? I mean maybe one of it's IC's has been damaged or something like that.

try flashing another firmware , if the problem still exists .. then Its propably a hardware problem :/

Hi, i just hard reset my Huawei Honor CHM-U01, after wipe data and cache i rebooted the phone. It took me to the select language page, but there after selecting my languae, can't go next, the next button seems not working. Plz help.

Yes. Actually the issue was with the touch panel. Some grids of the touch panel wasn't working, replacing the touch panel solved the problem.?

Hello,
ive ran into a problem: my kid was playing with my android phone and set a pattern lock which he (obviously) doesn´t remember.
All my important data is backed up so i did a hard reset, but the phone is asking for the pattern even after resetting. I am now in a big trouble because i need my phone ASAP so i googled for advice and found out about this forum.
I tried multiple guides i found here but everything was unsuccessful.
My phone is NOT rooted, USB debugging is OFF.
Is there a way i can save my phone?

You can start mobile in recovery mode. Use volume and power button. Clear cache partition. Then you can start your mobile. I think pattern will be removed.

FIXED !!!
I figured out a way to change the pattern !
Guide for those with same problem:
A the beginning of the phone setup is a button for people with bad vision to turn on features that help with the setup.
Find Talkback and turn it on
Navigate to help and support and scroll until you find a video.
Tap on the video, it should open youtube, then find random video that has a link in the description.
Click the link to get into Chrome and search for apex launcher apk
Download apex launcher and open it.
Go through the setup and at the end it takes you to homescreen.
Go to settings and set a new pattern.
Restart the phone and now when it asks for pattern enter the one you just set.
Hope this helps someone like me
