Samsung s8+ dual sim error boot message (Custom binary blocked by frp lock) - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi guys. Hope anyone of you can help me.
So I've bought the dual sim version from Dubai. Flashed Custom rom, flashed nordic CSC file. Everything was working fine for months.
No while I'm in Turkey. I inserted a second sim (turkish one). Phone asked for restart cuase it's detecting new sim.
Restarted phone and now I get red font error at Samsung logo. "Custom binary blocked by frp lock"
I can't boot in to recovery mode either. This is very strange. What could be messed up? Huh
Any help please. I would love to save my data before wiping everything!!
Let me know! Appreciate it!

Not working. Cause I'm stuck at the Samsung logo. Can't log in with my google credentials!!
BTW it says FAP lock not FRP.
Also how could this happen? Why did it get locked?
Any help please. I'm stuck in Turkey without my phone!!

You have to go to updato.com and download your firmware. Then Odin flash it, then go to developer settings and check off OEM unlock.

Recovery Mode?stucked up... You can re-flash the ROM.This time Dont go for Custom Rom
Use Offical Rom Provided By Samsung...Cheers
Different Custom roms aren't built accordingly as the offical work fines and smooth:good:

Guarantee you flashing stock rom will not work.
I've been stuck in recovery and download mode and downloaded all the official samsung firmware for my phone, 100% exact and 100% correct firmware.
Been trying for days and days and days.....all flashes ok, but simply reboots to android recovery saying same old SHI*
Which is:
something along the lines of DRK not installed and to install ENG boot or binary.
I've downloaded from coreect site, efinitely the correct firmwarefor my phone model and carrier etc etc....nothing works.
tried different versions of odin etc.
Nope, nothing.
I've got a BRICK!

Took my phone into Samsung store today, they looked at it and basically said, warranty void - only way to fix it is to fit a brand new board!
getting it back Tuesday, but costing me £250 ! ! ! !
Matt.

Stuck in "odin mode". Help!

Hello. I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930F, but it said the firmware was modified in an unauthorized way. It showed the model as G930FD in the firmware but it's G930F on the back of the phone. I am guessing it was rooted. Then I did a cache wipe and it said the "FRP LOCK" wouldn't let it boot up, and now I am stuck in "odin mode". It says downloading and do not turn off target. The thing is I don't know the phone's country of origin so which firmware should I get? I don't wanna brick my phone. I live in Macedonia and I am downloading the Macedonia firmware at the moment but I don't know what to do next so please help. Thank you.
Just flash firmware for your country, if that doesn't work try flashing twrp and a custom rom. I'm not sure there is a way to tell physically wether it a F or FD maybe sim card trays are different, its pretty difficult to brick phone unless there is a hardware fault. Also have you tried Smart switch to install firmware, I've never used it but it supposed to be a good last resort.

It'll still boot into download mode due to FRP lock.
OT:
Use smart switch to restore your phone. You'll probably need information like IMEI and stuff for this. Do you have the original packaging?

Is it actually possible to sim Unlock Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920P)

Hi all,
I have been searching in some threads, and I could not find any valuable answer. Is it actually possible to sim unlock (offline) the Galaxy Note 5/Sprint variant ?
I just bought one, and I am living in Burkina Faso. I had it working fine, until I entered the Download Mode screen (out of curiosity). I did nothing special and tried to Cancel out. Unfortunately, OEM unlocking was not off. I got the bootloop screen displaying the Samsung Logo with the red message in the upper-left corner saying "custom binary blocked by frp lock".
I googled a bit then discovered that flashing a stock rom was the solution. I downloaded stock firmware N920PVPS3DQF1_N920PSPT3DQF1_SPR.zip (based on Android 7) and then flashed it via Odin. It went fine, and I could turn on the phone. All the data were there, but no way to get my local sim card to work.
Is there any one who can help here ?
Much thanks in advance.

Hey man many of us in the same predicament. I found that flashing a different modem (CP) will help get some SIM
Capabilities. Not perfect but you can receive and make calls use 3g (no LTE) but cannot send SMS. I'm also searching for solutions
Search Google for " flashing radio for SMN920P" is a .tar file and you flash it via Odin

Confusing galaxy s6 model

I got samsung galaxy s6
The problem is that i dont understand witch rom i should flash
At the back of my phone and the odin mode says that my model is Sm g920p
But the settings and also other apps such as device info and smart switch says that my model is sm g920f
I thought the previous owner of my phone has flashed a custom rom that changed my model but the confusing part is When i boot into odin mode the Binary says SAMSUNG OFFICIAL.
Please help me
When you're booting into Download Mode, there is an option to show you a bar code, pressing the home buttom. If the meid match with the Dec numbers down behind your phone, it's an 920p.
I have a customized ROM that says OFFICIAL, and a kernel that does the same... don't pay much attention to that. If in Download Mode, it says that the model is G920P, that's the model - doesn't matter what it says anywhere else.
You shouldn't have an issue flashing a firmware. Just flash it, make sure autoreboot isn't on, and restart it into recovery mode, clear cache, system reboot and that should be all.

Probably, yeah, but it's best to go for unlocked firmwares.

IMEI changed after Stock Firmware ODIN Flash

Hi guys!
Here's my problem
A week ago I rebooted my phone and it said "Invalid SIM card"( I was with a Custom ROM), then i flashed the stock Firmware with ODIN thinking that the network relocked itself to t-mobile and use the Device Unlock App to unlock it, and i got the same message, and the app didn't work... until this day i noticed the IMEI was changed (it is not the one that i have in the back of the phone) it is like 370000000006.
I am trying to change it via Xposed Modules and they seems not to work, i am not sure if it was changed after the reboot that gave me the message of "Invalid SIM card" or after the stock firmware flash with ODIN.
Can anyone help me to change the IMEI please?
Thank you in advance!
Sorry for the english!

After buying a phone on ebay and having non AT&T oem firmware, I searched all over and finally found it. Hopefully this helps people, as I could not find it on here anywhere.

Flash at your own risk. I flashed via Odin and have a perfectly running S7 active. Make sure you do the proper upgrades first. I'm no firmware expert by any means.
Sorry, your cloud file is missing BL file. Can you re upload please
I did not flash the BL. I didn't get it as I didn't need it.
I flashed the AP and modem first. After a few days of not liking the feel, I flashed the CSC to get my normal AT&T layout and apps back.
what the hell... when did this phone ever have a legit NON ATT firmwire verison?
this is boatloader 4 isn't it... meaning we can't flash down?
will someone tell me how this preforms?
Flashed it to my phone and all it does is reboot from the s7 active logo. Also i am unable to get into recovery mode, but my phone was doing this all before.

Your eMMC probably died if flashing stock firmware doesn't work.
