Hello guys, I would like to request a mod for LOS, RR, AOSP based Roms.
I would like the light of the buttons to behave as stock OOS, that is to only light up when they're pressed and when volume up or down buttons are used.
I don't like the lights to be on when I just touch the screen of my OP3.

Use custom kernel , Boeffla have it and my PA kernel have port of it from hiss kernel . Can add it to LOS one no problem.

Does anyone know if theres anyway to add features to the quick settings on honeycomb (the lower right button thing). I remember stock there was the option to control the volume on there, but now that im running tiamat theres none now. I really liked having the volume control there so i dont wear out the volume buttons. Is there anyway to add that back on?
I have used Xoom with stock Android 3.0.1, 3.1, 3.2, 3.2.1 and i have never seen a volume control there.
Only slider there is for display brightness control.

You can change the volume by hitting one of the volume buttons. Then drag the volume slider that pops up.

Im pretty sure you would have to modify framework. Is it possible? I dont know. Widgets i think are more possible and are in use on Moray Rom I think (I havent flashed to it)
Is there any ROM or mod that would enable us to use a hardware button, most probably a volume button, to take pictures? I find it quite tedious having to touch the particular part of the screen!
On MIUI you can use the volume rocker as a dedicated camera button. I'm currently using the volume down option. I don't know if you can rip the camera from the MIUI build and use in the stock rom.
CM allows this as well. comes very handy.
Thanks for the reply guys. Although that does solve my immediate concern, those roms are very different to what i am used to. I really like the sense roms and would ideally like to stick with them!
One of the main reasons I rooted my HOS was that my power button is quite unresponsive. I had read about volume wake in CM10, but this bug http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmo...Summary Stars Priority&groupby=&sort=&id=6720
prevents it from working properly. I've looked around for various solutions, including sweep2wake, but none of them seem to work on AOSP roms at the moment, or are discontinued (like the s2w kernel AOZP).
My question is this: if I don't want to use the power button to wake my HOS, and I want to use an AOSP rom, what should I do?What's the "preferred method"?

I am running JB on my Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus and I am loving it. One downside is taking off the screenshot button of the screen and switch it to the Volume Down + Power button. Well, just as expected, my Volume down button is not working. I dont want to change it to the Volume Up button because I know that my Volume up button will die too. So, is there any Custom ROM that actually runs JB WITH the screenshooting being on screen? I tried searching but did not find. I tried some screen capture apps but were not quite as good as the original.

Try deodexed jb for gt p6200 with multi window function, then install xposed and tablet ui, you will have screen shot at your navbar

Anyone got rotating lockscreen and volume button orientation working? 9.5.7 & Renovate Ice 2.2 with Gravitybox here. Gravitybox lockscreen rotate having no effect and can't find any recent volume button options anywhere.... Do we have to wait for "proper" custom ROMs? I was on Havoc on op6 and really miss some landscape night dock stuff....
