Hi,
I've been reading stuff here in this forums for quite some time now but I only became a member just now. I have a rooted note 3 and I deleted some of the systemapps including bubbles and phase beam. I downloaded Galaxy Live Wallpaper App just now and this is the only time I realize that Live Wallpaper is no longer working on my phone. I'm not sure if it's because I deleted the bubbles and phase beam file. Or if maybe I deleted something else. I also remember deleting a system app named live wall paper picker, something like that. I was wondering if you guys can help me solve this. =) Is there a website I can download these files again? just to get live wallpapers up and running again?
Thank you,
Hi xdadevelopers,
maybe my question is already answered anywhere here but i wasnt able to find anything related to it - so ill just ask
A few hours ago i updated my nexus 4 manually with the available OTA update to android 5.0 lollipop and found out that the lockscreen widgets were gone...
I was very used to using only one widget on my lockscreen but very frequently indeed. It was my flashlight...
So now of course i dont need a special flashlight app anymore but also im not able to activate the lollipop-onboard-flashlight from the lockscreen at all.
My question:
Is there already a workaround existing for that problem?
Ive found a lot of questions on the internet regarding the same fact but no actual solution. So maybe it is possible to work with the notifications (for example automatically pop up a notification with every "lock" that enables / disables the flashlight directly from the lockscreen) ?
I hope there is a solution for my problem already out there and i just wasnt able to find it yet :silly:
Found out by myself that one just hast to pull down the lockscreen to see a menu consisting the flashlight ....
:silly:
I've looked everywhere with no luck I have a verizon galaxy s7 non root and I was able to update all the samsung apps to new s8 versions except for the phone/contacts app when you install the new contacts app the phone looses signal and drops the call when you use it. I know it's because I need to update the incall ui app to the s8 version but can't find out how to do it will someone please help me with this?
I am wondering the same thing. Im wondering if its as simple as replacing the apk within the system directory. Of course you would need to be rooted to do that, but I AM rooted. Ill update you if I do find another way as well...
Hi everyone
I have a few questions and I have been searching for them on here but couldn't find the answer.
I have a rooted s8, with renovate 7.2 on it and magisk istalled.
I have also installed the framework.
I wanted to customise the AOD(Always On Display) and was wondering what is out there that can help me achieve that.
For example there's an app called Custom AOD, it allows you to get some background pictures but it's limited. I was wondering if I could add some widgets to it? I'd like to have a toggle button that allows me to turn the torch on/off, is this mod available?
Is there a compass widget for the AOD?
If anyone can provide links on all the AOD mods/widget that would be great?
Do you guys know what's the best place to get free substratum themes? playstore has a very limited number.
Thanks in advance.
Wings by timmods is really good and you can find it here on XDA, my favourite actually
Hi guys. I'm a satisfied samsung Tab S7 FE user, but there is one thing that annoys me. Google maps are always having white theme and I can not find any toggle in settings to change it. I have not found any solution yet (reinstalling an app, clearing cache and any data, latest update available installed). From my point of view, it looks like the google maps app does not support dark theme on this tablet. Of course it is not a very big deal, but I think that it should work on almost every device (there is no reason to delete it from settings section). If you have found a solution, please write the answer below. I would really appreciate that.

this is the google guide
try it
On your Android phone 10+ phone, open the Google Maps app .
Tap your profile picture or initial Settings. Theme.
Select one of the following options: Always in light theme: Dark theme is always disabled in Maps, regardless of system settings. ...
Tap Save.
source : google support
As I said, I can't find a toggle to change an app theme. On two of my phones I can change it easily. On the tablet this setting is not listed in settings section.

I think in tablets we can't change it because I have SM-T585 and google maps doesn't allow me to set dark mode theme
