Brand New Pure XL cannot download from Google Play or OTA Update - Blu Pure XL

Hi guys,
BNIB Pure XL cannot download from Google Play or do an OTA firmware update.
I've tried using LTE to download but no luck. Here's what I did:
1) Booted up device.
2) Selected language and added Google account.
3) Device successfully synced Google account and all associated apps were listed in the Google Play Store.
The download bar in the Play store keeps running without downloading anything through either WiFi or LTE.
I've tried clearing the cache of Play Store and Google Services to no avail.
The current firmware is 2015-11-23 and I can download the 2016-03-22 update but it gives an 'Unzip error' after downloading.
I can send and receive emails and use the browser without issue.
I only want to flash the stock firmware as a last resort. Surely, there must be an easy fix to this!
Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
Cheers,
Andrew

When you try to download something from the play store, does it show up in your notifications?
If not, do the following:
Settings > Advanced Settings > Apps > All > Download Manager > Clear data
Settings > Advanced Settings > Apps > All > Download Manager > Force stop
Settings > Advanced Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Force stop
If it does show up and always shows that the download is "Paused" or "Pending", try installing a VPN application like Hotspot Shield, turn it on and do the above steps before attempting to download something.
A word of warning, don't do anything else other than download what you need from the play store once you turn the VPN on. Turn it off after downloading what you need from the play store.
As for your firmware update issue, I can only imagine that the update zip was somehow incomplete or corrupted.
Use the installed File Explorer app to navigate to Files > Phone Storage > adupsfota and delete "update.zip".
Then try downloading the update again.
I do not know if updating will fix the play store download issue, but if you want to try it, it's up to you.

Google Account Issue
It appears that this is an account issue, for some of us. I am having the same problem on multiple devices with my Google Apps account, but my gmail account is working just fine on those devices.
Google is evidently aware of it, and its gotten a little press on Android Police. Whatever you do, don't listen to what people are saying and factory reset the device. IT doesn't help, and all it winds up doing is removing access to all of your paid / no paid apps.
A small discussion has sprung up on the Google Wallet forum here.

i have had this issue on ics not on jelly bean before my fix for this normally was less radical than an factory reset
Suspects:
1. Google Play Store
2. Google Services Framework
3. Download Manger
Step 1 remove all Gmail accounts from settings menu under accounts (i do this because i want a clear start like when you did a factory reset)
Step 2 locate Google Play Store (android market app) in settings menu > applications > all > Google Play Store
2.1 Force Stop
2.2 Uninstall Updates
2.3 Clear data & cache
Step 3 locate Google Services Framework in settings menu > applications > all > Google Services Framework
3.1 Force Stop
3.2 Uninstall Updates
3.3 Clear data & cache
Step 4 locate Download Manger in settings menu > applications > all > Download Manger
4.1 Force Stop
4.2 Uninstall Updates this does not get update make sure its enabled
4.3 Clear data & cache
Step 5 do a restart for good luck
Step 6 Open Google Play Store and setup you Google account again
Step 7 Open you favorite email program and setup you account
Basically you just did a factory reset only on Google Play Store & Google Services Framework & Download Manger
Good luck hope this helps helped me a few times in the past
Don't waste your time with this. It's permanent, account related, Even a factory reset and reflash doesn't fix it.

Method 1: Clear the google play store data
method 2: If you are using a wifi connection that requires a webpage login, then your authentication has probably expired. Log in to the apn again via your android browser. Open google play store and run the app update again . If that didn’t work the problem is with the wifi network itself.
Method 3: Simply switch to another wifi network and run the update. The error 911 should disappear for the new wifi network.
Method 4: Use your mobile network data services instead of wifi. Turn wifi off and then turn your data on and now open your google play store and download/update your apps or games. download unsuccessful errors:
solution:
First method:
Open settingsdownload unsuccessful error fix google play
go to “manage applications or apps” then select “all” apps
select “google play store” from the list
force stop, clear cache and clear data
do the same for clearing “google application framework(google play services)” and “google account manager” from the list of apps.
Open google play and you will be asked to sign in.
Sign in with your gmail account and download your apps or games
note: From the apps list, you may also have to clear data for “google play services, google app (that is not downloading or updating), browser, downloads and download manager (in case browser download problem).
you can use this same method for fixing “error processing purchase df-bpa-09”.
alternative method:
If the first method didn’t work, you can try to delete your gmail account from settings. However, deleting primary gmail account will require a factory reset unless you have rooted your phone.
Assuming your device is rooted, follow this link on how to delete your gmail account.
Now clear cache and data for google play store like in the first method.
Restart your android device.
Add your gmail accounts (settings->accounts->add account)
open and sign in google play and then start your download
if non of the above methods failed follow the methods below:
Method 1: Clear cache of google play services and play store.
Or
method 2 : Uninstall updated of google play services and play store.
Or
method 3 : Remove you account and add again and try.
Or
method 4 : Flash the gapps again. Then sign in
another solution for this error.

what does it mean?
can you help me?
this is really useful, i usually get problems downloading updates whenever i restore paid apps from titanium backup
FYI: I just signed up to become a beta tester of an app. Immediately after hitting "join beta" or whatever, I went to the Google Play Store (on a browser) and clicked "install" and selected my device. Back on my phone, I received an error 940. I'm guessing it has something to do with not being in the testing team (it usually takes a while for the system to update).

Null ROM on Galaxy gear and Google trouble...
Great work mohamedrashad!
Maybe you can help me with my problem?
I rooted my Galaxy Gear and installed the NullRom. Great success! But I immediately noticed two things:
1. I cannot add accounts under "Settings -> Accounts". When I click the "Add Account" it just flashes once and nothing happens.
2. I cannot launch Google Play. When I try, either directly on the icon or from the Shell menu, it opens briefly but then closes immediately again without any error message. I have tried several different versions of the Google vending apk, without any luck.
I believe there is a relation between the two problems, but I do not know where to look. On the Forum, I have read about other who also has had my #2 problem, and solved it by adjusting the MTD Partition. However, I have no idea how to do that, nor do I understand why that should help. "Out of memory" should not be an issue on a freshly flashed nullROM device?
Please help.

Browse to internal storage of your android/data/ "com.application-address" delete the com.application-address folder. Now retry to install the app.
For that you may need device root access. You can use file manager like as "Root Manager".

Then sign inTry the 4th method if the above 3 methods failed.

For error 481 there is no problem in google account.
Clear some internel space by removing some app then install the app it will go away..
Error 927
Problem
The download is impossible because an update of the Play Store is in progress.
Solution
Wait a few minutes until the Google Play Store is completely upgraded. If the problem persists, go to settings, then Apps, swipe to All and locate the Google Services. Tap on clear data and then force stop. Do the same with the Google Play Store application.

Another Solution for this error.
Reason you get error is slow connection speed.
try to download the app again the error will go.. Try 2-3 times.
@mohamedrashad you should also provide the link of the post.

Browse to internal storage of your android/data/ "com.application-address" delete the com.application-address folder. Now retry to install the app.
For that you may need device root access. You can use file manager like as "Root Manager".

I'm using Motorola Moto G and already rooted. I cannot find andriod/data/com.application-address.
It is same like other andriods?
Thanks.
The OP, and all other posts that lack clarity, should be edited to change where it says "Google Services" to say 'Google Play Services".
This is to avoid users clearing their GSF (I won't say the full name here to avoid confusing learner drivers) as clearing GSF will lead to all sorts of issues with regards to authorisation tokens, GCM push messages etc as Google's servers will think you have done a factory reset and will just cause many of the problems you are trying to cure.
Nice guide all the same.
PLease ALso Add THE BUILD PROP TWEAK THAT ALLOW DOWNLOADING ALL KINDS OF APPS THROUGH PLAYSTORE>>>...

Sorry for inconvenience!
Previously I mention "internal storage of your android/data/com.application-address" that's mean root/data/data/app name (the app shows errors during installation).
For example you have this error when you try to install ES File Explorer which package name is "com.estrongs.android.pop". Now you need to find the folder which is "com.estrongs.android.pop" on your root directory. For that the location should be "root/data/data/com.estrongs.android.pop" you need to go "root/data/data/" location and delete the folder "com.estrongs.android.pop".
And also you can use DU Speed Booster (Cleaner) or Clean Master to clean this kind of junk files or folders.
Thanks.

Google play crash with CM12 on OPO

Hi all,
I updated my OPO to CM12 and the google play services can't be updated leading to the notorius battery drain plus several other issues.
It's all stock, less than 1 month old unit, what can I do?
The previous version, CM11 was great, the current YNG1TAS17L is creating only problems.
Please help.

Head into settings > apps > google play services > clear data.
After that head down to apkmirror.com and download Google Play Services and manually update the app.
This should fix the systemupdate service bug on the older version of Google Play Services

I have gone back to previous version.
Try this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psvtQB7NizI. I have had to use it several times and still have the trouble. Best case is factory wipe and reload from Google app.

Thanks for your message!
I can't access google play app crashes and I can't upgrade the app via the google play webpage.
I downloaded the latest version of the google play services (it appears to be the same version I already have installed) but I can't clear the data of that app (there is no clear data button just clear cache).
In order to install the apk, all I have to do is select it with a file explorer app (provided I have set the option of allowing the install of non google play apps?
Thanks,
Marc

If Google Play FC, head into settings > apps > Google Play > click clear data and force close
To clear data of Google Play Services, head into settings > apps > Google Play Services > (I think is) manage storage and it'll bring you into Google Play Services app, scroll to the bottom and click clear data. After that, force stop and uninstall any updates you may have for the app.
To manually update/install an app, use a file manager and head into the directory where you downloaded the app and just click on it and package installer will do the job it needs to do
hi all,
**EDIT** 20/10/15
So I wiped my phone again - cache and system. Flashed "cm-12-20150901-SNAPSHOT-YNG4NAO253-bacon" and "gapps-lp-20141212-signed" annnnnd it all works!
I still don't understand the cause of any of my troubles and I haven't tried doing this with CM 12.1 because stagefright is still an issue?
I cannot get Google Play services to function properly on my OnePlus one- have tried Factory resets, installing from a backup, Stock, CWM and TWRP recoveries. installing from apk hosting sites. clearing cache and all data in settings>apps>google blah blah, hoping someone can help me.
- several months ago i flashed TWRP as my new recovery and then flashed SuperSU and I have enjoyed this set up ever since as I love using the app AllStream which requires root access.
- after putting off updating my phone since doing this, I finally decided to update the other day...
- I downloaded the CM12.1 .zip , moved it onto my phone, booted it into recovery and flashed the bastard (figured everything was going smoothly at this point).
- When my phone booted up I figured I would download the Google Play store from the built in browser, and then download all my apps through that, BUT when I logged into my google account the play store said all my apps were already installed???
I downloaded some apps from some apk hosting websites and installed them (allstream, facebook, snapchat and a couple others) they all worked fine.
When I downloaded Google Play services Version: 8.2.99 (8299240) for Android 5.0+ (Lollipop, API 21) from apkmirror.com it installed and then gave me the error "unfortunately google play services has stopped"
every 3 seconds or so.
I have tried flashing Stock, CWM, Philz and TWRP recoveries, doing a factory reset and then flashing the CM12.1.zip. get the error in all cases.
I have tried clearing cache and all app data in phone settings>apps>google PS>clear cache/delete data
I have not had Privacy Guard running ever (some forums have suggested this can cause issues).
**EDIT** 19/10/15
I've realized since posting that I have had Privacy Guard running (i had thought it was a separate app).
I have since experimented with different settings within Privacy guard such as turning the "wake up" and "keep awake" options on or off - no success
No idea what to do now, have I done something obvious? What else can I try? What other information should I provide to help diagnosis?

Honor 6 H60L02 - Restarting When Trying to Install Any App

I have sucessfully installed the latest versions of Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Google Framework Services, Google Account Manager... Everything needed for the Play Store, as far as I know. I was able to open the Play Store and log into my account. Everything shows to be working well, but everytime I try to install any app or update the phone restarts itself without installing anything. This includes attempts to sideload an APK. Here's the thing, when I uninstall only the Google Play Store, then I have no problem sideloading other APKs. When I reinstall Google Play Store the problem immediately returns. Anytime I try to install or update any app the phone restarts itself. Any ideas? Is there some kind of conflict with "app installers"?
You should once flash the full stock ROM package to get a full Stock System, to do that follow the below steps:
Download your phone's latest firmware.
After doing this put the UPDATE.APP in dload folder of your external SDCARD.
Switch off your phone, and press Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously.
Your device will now get to the full stock firmware.
is your sdcard set as default storage? if yes change it back to internal. also from settings > apps, cick menu, show system. goto google play services, storage, manage space, clear all data. again, disable anroid device manager from settings > security > device administrators. if none of these work, google is your friend, or just reinstall your stock OS
