Hi, I had Samsung and it has best email app for my needs I can find.. now I'm at OnePlus and looking for port of it but can't find it. APK from apkmirror not work. Any help ?
Wouldn't work, Samsung apps rely on touchwiz frameworks. Somehow impossible or hard to port to other devices.

Do we have any Samsung Apps that are ported to Nexus 5? There are some stock apps from Google that I don't like and want to use Samsung apps instead.
Apps I need are: Samsung Camera, Samsung Gallery
I am running Android Lollipop 5.0.1
If Samsung apps are not ported then please tell me if we have Sony, HTC or CyanogenMod Apps ports..
Ported apps will usually be found in the themes and apps section. Browse through the section and you'll see what's available.
But, Samsung apps, and the others, tend to rely on the manufacturer framework to function. (like touchwiz for Samsung) So it's very difficult and in most cases impossible to use the apps outside of their prospective stock firmwares.
Hi there, i'm trying to setup our MDM solution (BES12.5) w/ Android f/ Work and Samsung S7's.
We are using the devices as work only which means that when activated all the Samsung apps are removed and only apps that are pushed through the MDM server are installed. For the most part this works for our org, but there are certain apps that are somewhat critical which i'm having trouble getting on Google Play to push.
One of these is the Camera. Samsung hasn't published the camera app on Google play so I need some way that I can get the camera working. I have tried some other apps but they have adds which I really don't want my end users clicking.
I have attempted to download the APK from a phone that wasn't activated as of yet and push it through my MDM server. In order to do this I need to publish the app to Google play...when I do this I get an error about the Icon inside the APK not being valid.
I tried downloading the APK from an external source, but when adding to the MDM server I get an error about the signature not being correct.
Can anyone help? I am not a dev so I don't know how to go into the stock APK and edit the icon files. Can someone point me in the correct direction?
As a side note we also have Blackberry Priv's that are running the same setup as the S7's. Blackberry has actually published all the apps (camera, hub etc etc) to the play store so this isn't an issue. Who knew that Blackberry would actually think ahead...
I have a Galaxy S7 for work, and I have a Nexus 6 as my personal phone. I'm a fan of the layout and features of the stock email app on the Galaxy (aside from no dark mode). I tried to extract an APK then loading it on the Nexus and of course it's not compatible. I don't see anything available in the app store that's even similar. Anybody know how to get this email client working on another device like my Nexus 6?
probably it is bind to tw framework
Hi Guys,
I am trying my best to not use anything else then provided by Google, so all apps that Samsung provide are kinda useless and I am losing my patience. Who in the world needs two dailers, calendars, mail apps?
right now I am using the AOSP extended V4.1 Rom, but it's crashing. It's kinda exactly what I am looking for, minor things are missing, however, I am open for any suggestions, would love to get the full Google Pixel experience on my Samsung S7.
Best regards!
Why did you buy a Samsung if you don't like anything Samsung?
What do you mean by two diallers and two calendars?
There's only one dialler and one calendar on my stock S7
Samsung provide their own mail app, the other one is gmail included by Google
How difficult would be it to port the app to work on a non-samsung device? It's a really nice email app.
Just an educated guess because I don't really know...but I would assume that Samsung apps generally rely on parts of the OneUI framework as well as dependencies on other Samsung specific services. So...Possible? Maybe. Easy? Most likely not.

Thanks for your response. I tried to install it but it keeps crashing, which can indicate incompatibility on a non-samsung device. Any other good alternatives to email apps beside gmail?

I personally just use Gmail, but a Google search turns up a few. K9 Mail is an open source alternative There's also a bunch on the Play Store but if you're trying to avoid dependency on Google services that might be a problem
