I'm happy to see a lot of ROMs being built for our honor 8 by Open Kirin team and other Devs. But the ROMs being Built yet have some bugs and lack features (VoLTE) that discourage some users from using Custom ROMs.
I would like to know if any Honor 8 developer is interested in providing us a Stock ROM that's tweaked for performance and battery life and is debloated (Like KangVIP). This can help users who enjoy stock ROM features to have battery life and performance similar to custom ROMs.
In this thread I would like to know how many of honor 8 users would like to have a ROM like this and any developer who could work on providing such a ROM.
Thanks
+1 A very good ideea.

It depends on the ROM you choose to install. Some ROMs have no more features than stock but have code optimizations that can give you better battery, audio, or just a speedier experience. There are other ROMs that give you features yo never even knew you wanted lol.

O.O I didnt saw that... O.O
There are many benefits of using a custom ROM: better performance, battery-life and customisation to name a few.
As for custom rooms, you've got me there.
Hey!Which KitKat rom works best on Xperia L? There are many fixes, so I think that Android 4.4 is ready to daily use. But I don't know which rom is best:CM11, AOSPA Beta-6 or SlimRom?

I suppose you really wanted to ask was which KitKat ROM is stable and with least bugs at the moment and you got the reply accordingly!
However, to a normal user it might look as ROMs being compared which is against XDA policies. I suppose changing your words of your posts be great!
Every ROM is developed after a lot of hard work and telling one ROM is better than another doesn't seem fair either as everyone has different level of skills ! Not just that, one ROM which you prefer might not be suitable for someone's else daily use!

The developers usually write the bugs in the ROM with screen shots and what exactly the ROM has to offer!
If it interests you, go ahead and flash it !
You can ask for bugs, usual problems etc but not compare ROMs like : this ROM is better than this but you can give opinion like : I like this ROM as I find this x feature useful..

The only reason why I stated AOSPA beta 6 was because I've heard users saying that it's the most efficient Kit-Kat rom. (bug less)
Not because it's better than the others.

No comparison threads between ROMs and kernels as these aren't allowed on xda. Reported.
Attention New Users!
"Best ROM/Kernel" threads are not tolerated on XDA. Why?
Because what somebody may say is a good ROM, may not work well on somebody else's device. Or Somebody else may not just plain like it.
Everybody has a different requirement, and things like this are considered "subjective". To determine what may be best for you;
1) Read the last several pages of a popular rom thread to determine any new issues in the latest release.
2) Try several ROMs to determine which you like, or works better for your taste.
3) Read the "Original Post" for known issues.
This is the only way to determine what is right for you.
Thread is closed.
Cheers!

Hello everyone.
My friend owns this device and has asked me to flash a custom Rom. Now I've found many thanks to the awesome devs out there.
As you people have more experience about the roms, which according to you all is the most stable and almost bug free rom?
Also please suggest a good kernel.

Try cyanogenmod11 (m8) .
Kernel: Mosh kernel or nebula kernel.

Hi! I used CM11, but I had quite a few bugs and app crashes. Even the UI crashed a lot. Now I am using AxxionKat (Android 4.4.4) and I am REALLY happy. I still have some of the CM11 bugs, but at least my apps don't crash anymore. It is an OFFICIAL ROM, devs are really working on it. I highly recommend it! :good:

Did u use cooldev's or beast's cm? Beast's cm is m8 and cooldev's m7
I used cooldev's I am not sure about the differences between M7 and M8, but decided to give a try to the Axxion. Wasn't disappointed. Of course Beast's is a stable ROM, but it's still unofficial. That was the dealbreaker for me

I use CM and the battery isn't very good, but it can easily handle a day, perfomance is great, but keep in mind that it has nightly updates and a lot of useful features. As far as I know is the most polished
is here somebody are using blisspop ? maybe this rom is more polished than CM

Hi,
I'm looking to flash a custom stock rom on my S7 and was wondering what is the best one out there, that has all of the stock features and also hampers the camera quality the least. Any advise?
SuperMan Rom is favoured by many, give it a go! I still use his Marshmallow version for xposed but he's up to nougat and has some mad features on there https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-s7-edge-rom-v1-1-t3356699 @Tkkg1994

Heheheh , i tried a lot of ROMS in the last weeks , and i have been very dissapointed of RessurectionRemix , LineageOs etc.
Im telling you , the best Custom ROM you can possibly find right now , and also the most stable and goog looking one , is the HELIOS V7.9.0.
Just search for it on the XDA. , goog luck

use superman with un-modified system ui and stock kernel (if you want to skip v4a), also there is option to uninstall bunch of apps including superman rom settings, as for 3min battery mods, you can disable it, and you'r good to go
The same developer I was on about also has a ROM which gives the closest to ROM experience that you are looking for. Search XDA for SuperStock ROM v2.6
