Sprint n920p sim unlock - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

Is the sprint sim unlock on a note 5 or s6 edge that hard to do? I've been searching for a way to do it but have only found those who want to get paid to do it. Plenty of unlock ways for other phone and carriers but sprint seems to have a hold on things.
I called sprint about the unlock code but not having the previous owners name or number I was out of luck. I explained to them that it had been bricked and I had to do a factory reset and lost all that information. After the factory reset it updated itself to nougat 7.

Sim unlock
This dude charges like $25 and accepts paypal. That doesn't get no more trusting then paypal. You gonna need a windows computer and internet. He took car of a sprint note 5 and s6 edge for me with imei replacement.

I called sprint and had everything supposedly taken care of on there end however phone still will not unlock. I've tried with and without WI-Fi. Different sim cards, a working sprint sim card, no sim card but still nothing.

Have you tried resetting provisioning via ##72786# ?
Or changing modem version https://forum.xda-developers.com/sp...al/fix-signal-update-flash-to-6-0-mm-t3345709

I have service with sprint card but profile and PRL will not update and UICC unlock keeps giving me an error (407) even the sprint tech support couldn't help me. I'm scared of paying for an unlocking service and wasting money because its supposedly unlocked (says sprint)

Negative. Both selling and advertising services are clearly forbidden by the Forum Rules. Also forbidden is any discussion about changing IMEI.

[Q] How to get Nexus 5 to work on Sprint

I recently bought the nexus off someone and found out it was the one that came from tmobile but was factory sealed. I put in my sprint sim from my htc one but it wouldnt activate to the network. after the setup process it shows that its on sprint but cant make or receive calls or texts( no data). I know the nexus can work for all sprint its just getting them to enter in the IMEI manually which they say they cant do. Id rather not go through the process of reselling and finding on that someone got from sprint so has anyone gone through this issue that got it working?

you have to call them to add your imei into their system. nexus 5 that sprint sells already is in their system, but yours came from tmo. so it manually has to be put into their system. problem is many sprint reps dont know that and will tell you its not sprint compatible. but it is, they just dont know.

Ill have to go to an actual sprint store ( and not the retail owned on near me) to see if they have experience with it. Calling customer service yielded me no help. Would rooting be an easier approach?

If you live near a store - go. But now you know what you're asking g for, calling should be easier.
Not sure how you think root will help? You can't force your details into the sprint system with root.

you usually have to get a tier 2 tech support person to get the IMEI added into their system.
root has nothing to do with adding stuff into their system.

- You don't need root to flash radios
- Radios won't help you connect to sprint
- Dont think there's such a thing as a sprint radio on the n5
- All radios work on sprint.

While there technically is no such thing as a sprint specific Nexus 5, from a practical standpoint there is in that Sprint did not load any of the IMEI numbers into their system from the devices that were sold directly from TMobile. Without the IMEI number in Sprint's system, their frontline agents have no way to activate the phone. As was mentioned in a previous message you have to get elevated high enough within Sprint to get the IMEI number added to the system. I have not personally tried that but have heard that the results are hit and miss.

That's really weird. But if it didn't work the first time then others most likely won't work and waste of money.
Is the phone running 100% stock rom?

Being blacklisted it should still should unlock but it won't work in the USA. It will only work outside of the USA/Canada if it's blacklisted.

Foxfi usage doubt

Hi community I would be glad if you could help me get something clear...
Does foxfi work with the network or the device itself? It says it works for example with... Verizon note 5 but what if I want to put my t mobile sim card inside a Verizon note 5 and try to wifi tether with a t mobile sim card ? Has anyone tried to use foxfi in a similar way?
I'm asking this because I finally decided and I just got a t mobile note 5 and now my brother wants one, I'm planning to give him one for his birthday but he's in t mobile and the Verizon variant is way cheaper
Thank you!
PS I apologize if this subject does not belong here as I just got my t mobile note 5 I decided to post here

I wouldn't recommend trying to run a verizon note 5 on tmobile...the 920V variant is extra locked down, so root and tons are going to be an issue...if he's ok with bone stock, sure, it'll likely work on a tmo sim with a byod account but it'll still have verizon's locked bootloader, etc, and even odin will give you **** about trying to flash another variant fw....I'm not saying it CAN'T be done, but i don't recall having read of any similar experiences and everything i know about the way samsung has locked stuff for Verizon says odin isn't going to allow another (for instance T variant) firmware to be flashed...definitely won't be able to do it without tripping knox, and likely can't at all...so it would be stock verizon or nothing...to my knowledge...
Hence why it's so much cheaper...

Honestly just get the T-Mobile version or whatever version you will be using >50% of the time. Nobody has gotten any one carrier successfully flashed to another carrier yet. Lots of talk about it with zero proof in any threads. It could happen today or maybe never. Seems like an expensive gamble for a maybe with the way Samsung changes things every phone release.
I think I can get it to work I just need to have t mobile register it on there network lol

From my understanding They both use their own standards. If that's true then no matter what they do it will not work.

That you can get at least the most basic features without having to buy new devices. Eventually there will be one standard but as of right now there's like 7. T-Mobile has their own. Samsung has their own which Sprint and T-Mobile is hopping on board with. Google has their own. AT&T has their own. I think Verizon uses the most open standard(Block C rules did this). Right now it seems Samsung will win this due to the volume of devices they sell.

invalid card

can some one please help me....i purchased an unlocked former sprint lg g flex 2 from ebay to use with my gsm sim card.
I have used the phone for 10 days without any problem but from nowwhere today it just showed invalid card.
when i reinsert the sim,it detects the sim for about 10 min and then brings a pop up on the screen saying "the phone ll reboot until you insert a valid sim card"then it reboots and stays on invalid sim.
Tried a different sim it also works for roughly 5 min and then does the same thing.
I have tried hard reset, factory reset, rebooting it and everything that i found on google but nothing works, still stack on "INVALID CARD"
Any help please i ll appreciate!

Best thing to do is return it. Never buy a sprint device for use on GSM carriers. Only buy a sprint device if you intend on using it on Sprint.

No clue. Getting it to work can be difficult or could be easy. But it's just not a reliable device to use on GSM carriers.
Did you make sure network mode is set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE?
If so your best bet is to check out this thread not sure if it still applies https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/sprint-g-flex-2ls996-gsm-domestic-t3122813

Just unrooting wouldn't solve the issue. The device was most likely rooted with changes to make it work with a gsm carrier. That phone in its stock state won't work on any other carrier at all besides sprint.

You should be able to since it's updating. But updating will actually make it to where you won't ever be able to use it.
You have more of a chance getting it working with a GSM carrier while rooted than not.
The issue your facing is not a problem, it's supposed to say that when inserting a non Sprint sim in the sprint device.
Remember that model has to be tampered with to make it work on a GSM carrier. It's not supposed to work on a non sprint carrier without things being changed.

Broken Antenna
I've had my LG G Flex 2 for a little over a year and this happened to me.
SOLUTION: The antenna is most likely broken and needs to be replaced. The lady at sprint said it is common with this phone so I'll try to figure out how to do that.
