Has anyone noticed that third party icons in emui home look kinda blurry and not as sharp for a 1080p display, weirdly enough I captured a screenshot and looking at the screenshot in the gallery of the home screen, the icons were actually sharper in the screenshot than on emui home.
Anyone who noticed it too? If not please try taking a screenshot of emui home screen then compare the screenshot in gallery to the actual screen.
I don't have this issue, try wiping data and cache of the home launcher

The issue isn't present in nova launcher. It's in EMUI Home

Must be a little bug. Try using an EMUI theme with included icons.

Check whether you enabled low resolution power savings in settings.I have noticed blurred icons with that option.
That's probably it

No, it is not enabled.
You can't really tell with normally looking at screen, unless you really focus on the details of the icons and compare it with the screenshot you take.
In that case, that wouldn't be a big issue to me

This is probably a newb question, but I wasn't able to find it through searching: Is there a way to fit more icons on the screen in Touchwiz (like maybe a 5x5 layout w/ 5 apps in the dock like the Galaxy Note)? Or would I need to use a new launcher?
I know Go Launcher has this feature, but it didn't resize the icons/widgets. So some of the icons ended up overlapping each other on the screen. I don't mind Touchwiz. Just thought I'd take advantage of the extra real estate of the screen.
Touchwiz 4.5 (modified Touchwiz) has this feature, stock does not

Not by default, but you can tell it to resize when moving the phone from portrait to landscape.
Just click on settings/preferences/screen settings/auto-fit items.
I've found I actually prefer 4x4 though. It works better with some of my larger widgets. And makes my full-page sized Calendar easier to read.

If it's just EMUI you don't like maybe try Nova Launcher, i really like it, gives app drawer and Android feel, my opinion anyways

Nope, you can only use another launcher. Or another theme.
I'm pretty sure the notification shade is built into the OS, so you can't really do much about it aside from waiting for EMUI 5.0's which looks nicer.

Use theme editor from play store and you can change notification drawer background color

Also changing background wallpaper makes an impact on the readability of the notifications.

I'm too expecting it. As I'm unable to read some of the notifications. Ex:Gmail... Its coming as black in color with little transparent black background. So can't read it.
However I can't Expect EMUI 5 also.
As i've modified the launcher and misc apps throughout the phone... i hope more devlopers hop on this device and create a pixel type OS port or even something without the EMUI :/

Show us how they're coming. I'll be happier if Nova updates for the screen, but stock will have to do for now.

No, stock launcher. I think I just lucked out with my wallpaper. If you look closely it's there. It's actually lighter than the top part.

Seems a little thick around the notch too.

I'm guessing you can't actually change it then? Gotta admit it's frustrating having a phone with such immense horsepower that has something that feels like a 20 mph speed limiter

You're right - split screen doesn't work with Nova launcher but, for me, that doesn't matter. Overall, until ColorOS progresses quite a bit further, I'd say the gains far exceed the losses.
Nope it doesn't work, it just forced back to default
