Hello everyone,
Recently while trying to install a custom rom on my BLN22, something went wrong and my phone went to a bootloop. Since the rom that I was trying to install was originally from BLN21 my phone variant changed to BLN21. I tried all sort of methods available on xda and elsewhere on the net to revert back to the indian variant but all went unsuccessful. Now my last hope is that if any of you could share any TWRP backup of your BLN22 I will just restore it in my phone so that I can revert back to BLN22. Thank you for your help.

There isn't cyanogen for the indulge, best I've found for this device is was a custom rom and kernel made by Konane posted on android forums all things root subsection for the indulge. Seems dev is dead for the device tho as it was posted last year and no new updates to it which are needed because it seems metro found a way to void some of the great improvements made.

Hey Everybody
I'm new to the whole rooting process, which I did fine on Saturday the 4th of October 2014. Today (October 8th 2014) I tried to install Cyanogen using the installer, it said it worked, but when my phone rebooted it was in the original version of touchwhiz that came with my Galaxy S3 SGH-I747 Rogers version. I wanted to get my files back, so I went into CWM and tried to recover, which didn't work. I tried again and again and it finally loaded my apps, but I had no service and I was spammed with "failure to load .gapps.google" or something like that. I went into CWM and wiped cache, tried again, same issue. I then wiped everything, went back into it and it still was NOT working. What do I do? I have no service at all! I've tried pulling the SIM and putting it back, but no success. Please HELP!
EDIT: I flashed stock ROM using ODIN, which worked. I would still like to know why CWM didn't work though, and if it is still possible to try to get it to work

Anybody?
I'm a beginner myself, and i do not know much about installing custom roms on samsung phones, but maybe you did not flash a compatible custom kernel to support the custom rom? it seems like you did not flash gapps either, but that should not stop you from getting network service. my last guess would be that you need to also install a baseband perhaps. all this information should be there in the galaxy s3 section of the forums.

Hey there, first off, thank you for replying.
I didn't manually use odin or other flashing software to flash the ROM. Unlike the rooting method (which went smoothly) I used the cyanogen mod installer. The installer itself said that cyanogen was installed successfully, but it was not. After it said this, my screen (on the phone) turned off, and I was brought to a fresh install of touchwhiz. I've actually fixed the networking issue by flashing touchwhiz stock, but that still doesn't explain why my CWM backup wasn't working.
I see...I haven't used the cyanogen mod installer myself so cannot say...
What I suggest is that, if you're up for trying again, to manually flash a rom - either Cyanogenmod or any other. There seem to be a lot of good roms available for your phone, and whichever rom you choose will come with instructions for how to install. The usual method will involve the following steps as far as I know:
- Root
- Unlock Bootloader
- Flash Custom Kernel with recovery
- Flash ROM
- Flash GAPPS
These steps are not difficult at all as long as you follow the instructions for your specific phone. I have a Sony Xperia SL and thats how I installed a custom rom on it many times. Sorry I could not help much not knowing Samsung procedures but good luck!

OK,
Download stock ROM for your device from Samsung-updates.com according to device model and region.
Then flash it with Odin.
Good luck
Alright so I have a 2013 Moto G, and basically in the past while on KitKat I've rooted my phone, given it custom recovery (TWRP), and messed around with the ROM (changed it to CM, PA and a few others and back). Now I've come to update to Lollipop and of course I need stock recovery to update my phone via OTA, and when it first prompted me to update, I had TWRP and I didn't really think, I just updated, this sent my phone into a bootloop, rebooting straight into TWRP every time I turned my phone on. Luckily I had a backup and I just restored to that and that fixed it. Recently I've been trying to fix the correct stock recovery for my phone so I can update, and I found some MotoTool AIO thing, and that changed my recovery back to KitKat stock (or so it says), now when I go into recovery it LOOKS like stock, can do everything you could normally do with stock recovery, but when I came to update it, about a quarter of the way though the update process, it errors and reboots my phone. Luckily this time my phone recognizes it has errored and just cancels the update instead of sending me into a boorloop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tom.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. To update to 5.x you need to be 100% stock. That means no custom recovery, no root, etc. It would be best to ask your question here,http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help where the experts on your device reside. And you may need this,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
Good luck!

Hey guys, so I'm pretty new to all this, I wanted to root my Galaxy S6 - SM-G920F - to be able to play pokemon from home... yes, that sad. So I started reading XDA like my brother recommended and "learnt" how to root my phone. In the beggining when i was installing SuperSU I had some problems and my phone went into bootloop, but it was because of my cable, I then reflashed it with another cable and it fixed the bootloop issue. I went on to install TWRP and that's when mistakes started happening. First of all, I forgot to back up my phone, including the EFS which, after reading countless posts, I understood is what gives the phone the IMEI code.
I tried installing the standard Xposed on Galaxy S6 (only later on i learnt you must use Wanam on samsungs from S6 and above) and my phone went into bootloop, with out knowing what to do (i tried the uninstall zip but it was failing to install from twrp...), very stupidly, i deleted my System folder... After much more reading, i tried using KIES3 and Smart switch to recover, but they always ask for the stupid recovery code, which I don't have, when i tried the upgrade and initialization option... I tried costum roms and a ****load of stuff. Custom Roms would usually work, my phone would turn on and that's when i noticed my SIM wasn't beeing recognized. (later on i also found out i didn't have IMEI) tried flashing the appropriate MODEM for my galaxy but it all failed. I don't remenber all the stuff I did tbh... I tried the tyrannus ROM and XtreStoLite Universal Deodexed Mod Edition ROM, and tried flashing the MODEM that comes with the last mentioned ROM and yeah, probably just useless attempts that wouldn't fix the problem in the first place. Then i tried flashing Stock, from Sammobile: I bought my phone at the Portuguese vodafone, so G920FXXS3DPF5_G920FVFG3DPC1_TCL (marshmallow) with Odin but it would always fail. Then i read something about splitting the folder in 5 and flashing 1 by 1 and it would work until the Hidden zip, which would always fail. I tried not flashing Hidden and my phone turned on and I went back to stock although, still with out IMEI or baseband. Then after more reading, i found out the best solution would be giving it to a store.
So i just rooted, twrp and did what i wanted to do in the first place. With the correct Wanam Xposed this time (later on i found a way to hack pokemon with out root... sucks :v) and i managed this time.
Yesterday i went to the stored and today the guy told me to go get it, with high hopes i went there, to find out he couldn't fix the problem... He tried Octobox to rewrite the IMEI from the one in the back of phone, but he says it failed. So now I really don't know what to do. The guy went on holidays and told me to go back there when he comes back, we wants to try to downgrade to lollipop and try to fix it from there (he said he has more tools available to work with). It could work, Galaxy S6 just got marshmallow 1/2 months ago officially, and i bought the phone in october of last year, so maybe with the ROM it came with, I really don't know.
At this point I'm just looking for suggestions. I'll be paying attention to the forum and try to reply to all the questions you might have to my best. Thank you all for your time and patience!
:EDIT: so... another major mistake i guess, I found out today, by asking my parents where they got the phone, that the phone wasn't actually purchased in vodafone, the phone was bought in a Samsung store, so it is unblocked. So most likely I've been flashing the wrong stock rom all along. Could you guys guide me in the right direction from here?
What would be the appropriate ROM for the unblocked? vodafone portugal is TCL, optimus is OPT and MEO is MEO. There is another one under the name TPH, would that be the appropriate one?
Solved
Okay... using the correct stock rom fixed all my problems... sorry for wasting your time guys! TPH was the right one
Where did you find your roms?
