My friend had a Nexus 5X on Google Fi but the phone died as 5Xs are prone to do, and she got the Huawei Honor 6X. She put her Fi SIM into the Honor and it works except that every time anyone texts her, she gets a message after their text:
One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset.
She also can't receive picture messages.
She's tried updating the APN settings to this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/apn.gi...fi_apn_settings_for_huawei_honor_6x.php?amp=1
But nothing is fixing the issue. Any suggestions?
The SMS received from another Project Fi phone? There is a special format of SMS developed by Google called webp, which may not be supported by HUAWEI phone...
As Jerry said, huawei phones aren't yet supported on project Fi

No, SMS received from non-Fi phones. Is there a way to somehow flash a ROM that has Project Fi support built in? Or a way to do that if rooted?

And what then if I did? Would I have to do a ROM dump or something and then compile into a compatible ROM (way out of my expertise)? Or get the files somehow?

Simply you can't get project Fi on non-google phones
Is there at least a way to block the error message? I've seen a number of posts across the internet of people successfully using their Fi SIM cards for the T-Mobile service only .
I don't know if there's anyway

I am from Malaysia. Just received my d2g i purchase from ebay. I managed to unlock and use local GSM network, NOT VERIZON!
i am unable to add google account. If i sign in an existing google account i have, it shows "user name and password doesn't match", i can log in fine from any pc. And im also unable to create new google account from the phone.
I had searching for weeks on a solution on this, but unable to solve it.
try to wipe data/cach it might help.

I did a few master reset. it wipe all data on the phone but still same issue.
attached is the image i just took after trying again. but this time it say "cant establish a reliable data connection to the server"
i wander if its control by verizon. means we must use it service in order to used the full function of the phone?
by the way, i am running on Android 2.2 Version.2.4.330.A956.Verizon.en.US
Have you tried changing the Google account password from your PC (making sure it doesn't have any non-ASCII characters like diacritical stuff &c.) and trying again with that new one?
Verizon has nothing to do with Google services.

Hi mate. Im using same account and password that im using on motorola defy. DEFY is singapore model which seems to be working fine. That's why i am thinking, maybe verizon did special program on all d2g to stop people like me simply getting the phone but doesn't used the services.
This means they chose to do a “special program” for just one single D2G — yours.
I use my D2G on GSM and I have never had any issues adding my Google account.

I was using Galaxy S4 before switching to OnePlus. I have blacklisted several annoying telemarketer phone numbers using the "blacklist" feature available on CyanogenMod.
How do I bring those over to OnePlus so that I do not need to start over again?
Isn't this feature built in? It should be under Settings -> Privacy -> Blacklist... I'm on a custom rOM so the option may be hiding in one of the menus. The feature is there though.

The feature is there. My question is, I have blacklisted a bunch of phone numbers on my old phone. I do not want to restart that process all over again with OnePlus.
For example, if I had already blacklisted a number, lets say XXX-XXX-XXXX. When I start using OnePlus, that caller will still be able to call me as that number won't be in the blacklisted numbers on OnePlus
If I am missing something please let me know.

You'd have to manually add those numbers in to be blocked. The method you're blocking their numbers is done by software, not by carrier.

I know it is done by software. That information is already stored somewhere on my Galaxy S4. My question - is there a way to export these numbers and then import them in the Blacklist on OnePlus. Please let me know even if it means me manually exporting/importing those numbers. I do not know where they are stored else I would have tried it.

No there is no way to export/import them using the stock Blacklist. Insert them manually as I mentioned previously.
If you have a lot of numbers blocked, maybe its time for you to change your number.

Well I guess in that case, you should be able to carry it from ROM to ROM on your Galaxy S4 as well. For example, if you went from 1 ROM to the next ROM, you'd be asking yourself the same question. Could I export/import blacklisted numbers?
Alternatively, you can use a app to "block" numbers which will carry the data over. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrnumber.blocker is one of them.
The Cyanogen profile will transfer the list automatically.
I have been all through the settings, for the life of me I can not find a setting when sending a group text to actually send the message to the group, rather then sending everyone I selected in the group a single message. I downloaded a third party app but I like the stock all. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing?
Thanks in advance
Same problem here since December on international MHA-L29C636. Only workaround I have found is the Textra app. If you get an answer I would love to hear it.

Hmmm.... I have the L29 ( US version ) and I don't see that option....
I appreciate the suggestion, but that option does not even appear in the advanced settings of the stock messaging app on this phone. The phone is an MHA-L29C636 running build 158.
Well, I have the US version...I never had any issues with group messaging....though I never paid any real attention to it. I just updated my phone to the new US build...

This one...
How did you get the new version?
...FunkyHuawei.... Google it...
Even though you can download it, you can't load it unless you spoof the Huawei server on the response...
Process was simple. Was able to use the Huawei HiSuite app with a host file...
My phone is totally stock...
I'm seeing more and more about the RCS messaging (currently through Android Messages).
Right now it seems to only be available to Pixel owners.
I know that there are mods and magisk mods (google framework) that allow us to use other Google apps on the V20.
Anyone know of a way to use RCS messaging on the V20?

From what I've read RCS needs to be supported by your carrier. Model doesn't matter. You download Google messages and if it detects that your carrier has it implemented it then it will automatically show up in the settings for messages

Several things...and I'll probably miss some, so feel free to google search RCS.
Two major ones are:
1. It's more secure than SMS.
2. You can include more characters, attachments, etc., than SMS.
A minor reason is:
1. You see if the other person is still typing.
A personal reason is:
I have true unlimited data through an old grandfathered Verizon plan but limited SMS, so this allows me to use less SMS since RCS counts only toward Data.
So I enabled mine and got it working on my H918 on T-Mobile. However I'm unable to send any file that's bigger than 10MB (which was the stock max limit on T-Mobiles advanced messaging using the stock LG app. Anyone else have this issue? Everything else works (read receipts, typing indicator, and pictures I send under 10MB that send properly will show being sent through rich communication service).
[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[UPDATE]]]]]]]]]]]]]]
So apparently the only videos that won't send are ones that I've recorded with Hi-Fi audio enabled in the stock LG camera. Can any one else try this one verify. Not sure why that would matter unless it's more than just size restriction for the limit.
The work around to have it working on my phone stopped working...
Does anyone have RCS messaging through Android Messages working on their V20?
If so, how?
Thanks!

On rr7, los 17.1 and los 18 it's working. But make sure your service provider supports it.
Since I moved from Samsung Galaxy note 10+ to MiS12 Ultra, my WhatsApp and WhatsApp business, and even the dual WhatsApp account are being banned like every 24 hours. I send an email to WhatsApp support and they reply that their system flagged my accounts for suspicious activities and violations...bla bla and then they check, confirm that they are no violations and unban the accounts. a couple of hours later I would be banned again
I tried to explain to them that this is happening repeatedly but in vain. They just do the same every time.
I have the updated official Chinese ROM MIUI 14 and Android 13
Other than that, contact names on WhatsApp sometimes appear, sometimes not, so is my profile photo to my contacts
Anyone is having the same problem? Any solutions? I have tried registering my phone numbers, uninstalling and re-installing WhatsApp, but nothing seems to work
Would appreciate any help, as I started considering abandoning WhatsApp completely
Maybe try:
Try to uninstall Whatsapp and install it again. As soon as the app is up, enable two factor authentication to prevent the ban.

You're not the only one reporting this, seems to be a problem with Whatsapp .
Tried looking if anyone was reporting it but couldn't. I think it's specific to the device or ROM, since I tried going back to my old device and there was no issues at all. Of course I'm not planning to continue using both devices

Maybe because it is a Chinese device.
I suspect maybe your Chinese ROM. Try installing the Xaiomi.eu ROM. It has been debloated and deChinesed.
Here's what apparently worked for me. I have enabled (no restrictions) for WhatsApp in manage apps->whatsapp and I have manually synced WhatsApp account. There was also an updated version so I updated mine and until now everything seems to be working fine, i hope
How do you do that kindly

My Xiaomi 10,11,12 and 13 Ultras all worked with Chinese stock ROM before moving to EU ROM. It has nothing to do with the Chinese ROM. I have used my 13 Ultra since launch with WhatsApp on the Chinese stock ROM. No issues with using and restoring account data here in the UK.

I was facing same problem with my Redmi K30i and solved issues, but this is not recommended.
You have to unlock your phone and need to install pixel experience rom with android 13. Only this rom stop WhatsApp's frequent band. I tried all rom but only this rom worked
