I've reset enabled every feature that I could think of. Reinstalled uninstalled Samsung pay and Everytime I try to use Samsung pay , enable pin to pay then my S3 tells me to sign into my phone unlocked Verizon. I've used Samsung pay on my phone it works but I want to be able to use my watch. Any one?

Hello guys, I know the release of Samsung pay was pretty recent in the US but I was wondering if anyone has an idea if a rooted user with Knox tripped will ever be able to use Samsung pay. Will the only option to get Samsung pay be to trade in your phone and get a new phone from your carrier? (if anyone already did this please share what you told them/how you got them to let you trade in a rooted phone).
Hi all, I have an unlocked s6 edge (925f) living in the U.S. I understand that it will not be officially bundled into the software since it's an international variant, but has anyone gotten it to work through the framework and APKs? When I try it , I'm able to get into the app and all that, but when I try to add a card, it tells me that it can't communicate with the server. If anyone could help that'd be awesome.
Thanks!
Same exact scenario here. 925F, sideloaded the framework and app, can add card, can't communicate with server. Went to Samsung counter at Best Buy, they couldn't do anything. The girl there though did say she had experienced the same scenario with no connection but in an ATT branded S6 which then cleared itself up in a day or two.
Two things I'm thinking of:
1. Flash a US branded firmware (ATT or Tmobile) and see if that fixes it. Though I'm not even sure if they will flash on the 925F version, and/or the flash will lock the phone to that firmware's brand SIM.
2. Somehow try to get the Samsung Pay logs to see where it's trying to connect but I don't think that's even possible without root which will trip Knox which makes Samsung Pay unusable.
Hi
Facing the issue of being unable to remove the activation lock on my iPhone - I'm of course using the same samsung account as the one I used for activating the lock.
I receive a message prompting to use the same samsung account as the one used for locking the S3...
Tried to connect it to my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, but I have the same results...
I'm stuck!
Any idea of anything I should try out before I send the device for servicing?
Thanks!
Rodolphe
self-replying...
I returned the device for servicing.
Samsung charges approx. 70 USD for "attempting" to reset the watch, without any guarantees it will work!!!
I find it a bit harsh - is this common practice?
Rod
Ouch! That's crazy expensive without any surety.

Have you tried doing a hardware factory reset (hold down the power key then repeatedly tap it) on the watch?

Reactivation lock survives from resetting the watch. Even if you -by reflashing- make the watch forget about the lock, the second you try to pair it, gear manager will check watch’s serial number online and if it is reactivation locked by some other samsung account it wont let you pair with it.
Correct - tried all these options. The lock survives.
I don't how it got screwed up: I always used the same Samsung account, whether on the S7 or the iPhone.
I did lock and unlock it successfully on the S7.
I could lock it on the iPhone, but the unlock failed eventually.
And now I'm left with an unusable device.
Hopefully Samsung can unlock it.
Can't really tell if the iPhone version of Gear S is at fault or anything else happened in the background.
OK. Did you try logging into your Samsung account from a computer, erasing the device and removing it from your account? Basically the steps you would go through if you were going to sell the device.
I am Also Facing Same..
I Too received the same message and same problem. i am stucked. fcked ..
the same samsung id is used now it says enter the id used to lock gear previously.
but the both id used is same. then also it is not unlocking.

Unlock without activation code on iPhone
I am too having the same problem and have tried since January April to get it resolved and no one knows how and I'm also out $399 for a watch that doesn't work and was promised to work with iPhones. Wtf and I can't do anything about it
Does anyone know what to do?
I've contacted T-Mobile, Samsung customer service via phone and email, and bust-buy and even a Samsung help center. But no one know how to unlock it
Same with me! No iPhone involved, hehe.
I'm from Brazil and bought a pre owned Galaxy Gear S3 in a Game Stop store January this year. I locked my Gear with my Samsung account in a Galaxy Note 8 and it worked fine for 3 months. After a restore to restabilish a freeze, I couldn't unlock it. I tried Game Stop, Samsung and TMobile support, no success. Reflash and factory default didn't help.
Samsung support in Brazil don't support a imported device, so I just have a little brick... Send this device to USA is too expensive. Knowing that Samsung will charge 70 dollars for a try is tragic.
If someone knows a way, please share!
Obs: in my anguish I found a site that promises a unlock. Is there any base for their method? Or this is just a scam?

same prob - but with note 4 - says the samsung account doesn't match. don't know why this happened but it no longer recognizes my samsung account. still connected to my wifi at home. can someone suggest a service that can remove the frp from the watch?
Anyone having any issues with Samsung Pay? I bought my Note 20 in the UK direct from Samsung's website, but just get "Samsung Pay will be available in your area soon" type messages. It worked fine on my Note 9.
One thing I have noticed is that the Service Provider SW Ver is showing EUX/EUX,EUX/EUX.

I found a solution. Just in case this happens to anyone else.
When I originally set up the device I did it with no SIM card installed as I didn't realise that the Note 20 uses a generic CSC until you install your SIM. When I did install my SIM tray I put 2 SIMS in and carried on, not knowing that the firmware hadn't updated.
So what I did was pop out the SIM tray, remove the 2nd SIM and reinserted with just my main one. The settings then pulled down and the CSC updated to BTU/BTU,BTU/EUX/BTU and now Samsung Pay works.
Yep did that before learnt the hard way on a previous Samsung as it wouldn't change the csc no matter how hard I tried so had to get a refund off Samsung

I have the same problem with Samsung Pay and Samsung Members but in Sweden with phone from carrier...
I try reset, tricks from above with SIM cards.. and still nothing...
Wait you just inserted your main sim and phone just changed firmware? Having similar problem here. I bought note 20 ultra where samsung pay isn't supported, I didn't care at that time because it wasn't supported in my country either.
But know samsung pay is supported in my country. And I really want it, cause Google pay isn't supported and I have no alternatives.
I was wondering if I would lose access to Google Pay or other apps if I rooted my phone.
Samsung pay for sure. Google pay no.
S Pay for sure, Google pay may work if you can patch Safety net and of course no more auto-updates. If you bought the phone in the country of origin, live there and something happens, you will now have no warranty. If you live outside that country you essentially have no warranty anyhow. I've rooted every Sammy device I've owned and recommend it. Just install TWRP and back up every partition first.
Securities thas for sure.
last 1 i rooted was the note 9
note 10 and note 20 were unrooted
any point in rooting a device today?
