SM-G955N Korean version s8 plus cannot do merge call for 3 way conference call - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

I am in HK and got a SM-G955N Korean variant a few weeks before.
As I understand, the samsung pay already does not work on Korean machine using HK local sim card.
However, in my working environment, I need to make many calls and sometimes 3 way calling. It is very surprised for me that I cannot find any button or setting in "phone" app to merge 2 call together. It can be switched only.
And I found the difference with other model is that the icon of "merge call" had been replaced by an icon of "call recording".
I rather want to know if I can disable the "call recording" function to get back the merge call function.
Anyone here also experience similar situation with your galaxy?
Thanks.

anyone can help...T_T

Video call, call waiting problem with Samsung Galaxy S4 (SHV E300L)

Hello, I have got one Korean version of Galaxy S4 (SHV E300L), with U+. I am using it on a different country.
Everything works fine, except the video call; and I can't find any option to turn on call waiting or call barring (option is not available inside Settings > Call Settings > Additional Settings).
When I try to make a video call, it returns this message: "video call not supported in international roaming area".
Any idea how can I fix these issues? I am running on Android 4.3
Also there is a mark on the top area of the phone's desktop, which I don't understand. Please check the image (marked in red color):
Can anyone please help me about this?
same problem
hy
i have the same problem on shv e25l
Did you find any fix for it????
thanks
SHV-E470S
Hello, don't mean to revive a seemingly dead thread here, but there's still much life to this question and I agree the problem needs fixed. I have a Korean version of the S4 as well, the full-featured LTE-A (SHV-E470S) model. I cannot make video calls or use HD voice, and I am on Straight Talk in Terre Haute, Indiana. I'm unable to disable roaming as well, the system menu option is grayed out and I've read from some sites on Google that turning off roaming can POSSIBLY fix the issue.
Has anyone made any significant progress that they can share about this?

T-Mobile 5.1.1 and broken Google Voice

How many of you experiencing this too? I literally just switched back to Android specifically to use Google Voice, ported my number back over to Google, bought a Note Edge and upgraded it to 5.1.1 immediately (stupid). Found out GV outgoing calls are broken.
This is a known issue and google says they're working on it (https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/voice/urpXxSfS-kE) but it's definitely irritating.
Yep..same thing here!

I am using GV to make weekly International calls, better to pay $0.07/minute than T-Mobile's $1.25/minute!!!
But since 5.1.1 it's broken....Here is the solution (in the mean while), that I have been using - and it's working again.
Say you want to call the number: 000-123-4567
Say your own GV-number is 111-222-3333
Reprogram the contacts you need to call from GV, with the number in this format:
111-222-3333 , , your-passcode# , 2 , 000-123-4567#
This will dial your own GV number, will prompt you for your passcode followed by #-sign, Option 2 will allow you to make calls, followed by #.
Each ',' is a few seconds delay - I have not tried it without the delays, but it also makes it easier to understand (for us humans).
Ya, no thanks. That's just a huge hassle.
Same problem here Google Voice does not work on the Note 4
I've got the same problem with the Note 4 (not the Edge version). I'm thinking this is an Android 5.1.1. problem. I never had this before I did the upgrade to 5.1.1.
What I see happening is this:
- You dial to make the call.
- I have Google Voice set up to ask me each time
- While the prompt for Google Voice is on top of the dialer, I see the dialer is already making the call.
So the dialer is not waiting for GV before making the call.
I'm trying to find out how I can go back to the previous version of Android, but so far it looks like I'm not able to do this.
I have a t-mobile Note 4. Hopefully t-mobile will release their 6.x version and that will fix this issue.

Google voice issues present on Galaxy S6 still present on s8+, anyone else?

I've also submitted two bug reports to google! Can't be the only one. Two separate issues, both are related to phantom digits getting input into the dialer with no visual record of them being input (i.e. it's happening somewhere on the backend).
After dialing into a conference call, when I go to put the conference number in. I.E. conference code 651582503, one of the digits is DUPLICATED.
So. I typed 651582503, and the conference line will say "Incorrect conference number, check the # and try again 6511582503
If you noticed, I typed an extra 1 for what the conference system reads back because it detects a phantom number. Now mind you, this issue has been occurring for about a year, and I dial into conference calls on this line at least 5 times a day.
The solution is to hangup, force quit dialer, and dial back into the conference. Only when doing this will it accept the number without adding duplicates.
Now, I initially thought this might be a bug with the samsung dialer. So I disabled google voice when dialing into this number and the issue completely went away.
I also upgraded from the Galaxy S6 to the Galaxy S8+ and the issue is persistent only when using google voice.
Separately, my phone will initiate call recording without me pushing #4 on the dialer.
I thought it was my Galaxy S6 causing the problem, but I just upgraded to a galaxy s8+ and the issue is still persistent.
Seriously, go into my last 20 call recordings and each time it's me apologizing to an executive or a client for recording them and that it was not intentionally initiated.
Anyone else having these issues? Is it a samsung issue or google voice!

Call Waiting/ Conference call Won't Work on Any Rom - S6 G920K

Hey guys,
i have been searching everywhere for this but I haven't found solution, perhaps some of you guys might know something about this.
I have a Galaxy S6 920K, it is a Korean model which I am using in Canada as I bought it used here on craigslist. My issue is that no matter what rom including stock I have, no matter what CSC I have. The call waiting doesn't work, for example I am on call # 1 with someone and someone else, caller # 2 calls me, the call # 1 will disconnect while caller # 2 will have a regular ringing, but I never receive call from caller # 2 unless he leaves voicemail which I get notified. While caller # 2 is calling, the initial call # 1 disconnects automatically, hence I get disconnect from call # 1 and I don't even know I had call # 2.
As a temporary solution, I have disabled call waiting so that way my calls don't disconnect while someone else is trying to call me.
Conference call is same, if I am on call and want to add someone else, as soon as I dial the new number to add and call, the call would disconnect and while the initial caller will get that "hold" tone and I never get to speak to caller # 1 unless he disconnects and I/him calls me back.
1. The features are included in my plan, so it's not a provider issue.
2. I tried with friend's simcard who is with different provider and had the same issue
3. I know like many features are different in Korea, such as Shutter sound cannot be turned off on Korean phones, so I am not sure if these non-callwaiting/conferece features are due to restricted MODEM of this phone. I can't change modem to other modems as it gives me unknown baseband
Thank you for your help, looking forward for some explanation or solution
Anyone?
I got exactly the same problem with S8+ I bought in S.Korea and using in Israel. Have you had any success resolving this issue?
i have same issue in s8+ rom in g920k s6
No I didnt, I disabled call waiting from the phone so my calls don't connect, waiting for S9 to upgrade. Must be Korean phone issue
Your plan from carrier allows this feature? And try a different ROM.

Run it and let the error occur with catalog running so we can see the errors as they occur

Catalog? Also I don't get any errors the call just hangs up itself
Hi, was anyone able to solve this issue? Seems like this is the problem with all South Korean Samsung Galaxy phone models. Has anyone tried replacing the dialer? did it work for anyone?

Annoying Caller ID bug on Verizon N986U

So with every other phone I've had, the caller ID is formatted (555) 234-5678. Since upgrading to the Note 20 Ultra, all numbers show up as +1 555-234-5678. The problem is all of my contacts are in the regular format, so caller and text ID don't always display the name. Is this a glitch on the Note 20 Ultra or maybe on Verizon's side? I've tried turning off assisted dialing, clearing data and cache on all phone and caller ID apps, as well as refreshing the SIM card.
What a little bugger... so you would need to redo all your contact numbers for it to work correctly?
My AT&T 10+ variant stores them as yours does but uses the 1 prefix format for incoming calls.
Uses either interchangeably.
I'd say it's in the phone firmware or app (a verizon bug). Advance tech support at Verizon might be your best shot if no one here knows.
Remember if it's a carrier phone they are partnered with Samsung and call the shots for their 3rd party apks. Hold Verizon accountable if so... they might try to say they're not partnered but they're joined at the hip.
It should not matter. All calls coming in from any provider will not be (555) 123-4567 from what I have seen. I have my contacts as that and they popup that way unless someone calling me is not in my contacts.
