Running Android 7 on the VZW M8 - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I have installed and started running ressurection remix 7.1.1 Nougat for HTC One M8 on one of my VZW M8s. It is from this thread... https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/rom-resurrection-remix-v5-8-0-t3507210
And so far seems great. I will check back in a few days down the road and post any issues I have found. It is nice to gave a Nougat option for this old phone!

Lineage Os 14.1 on verizon m8
I tried Lineage Os 14.1 which is also nougat and it was pretty good. I only used it for a couple hours though, because I quickly found out that Xposed framework is not optimized yet for Nougat. I couldn't do without the little tweaks that Xposed gives you that enables you to make a rom more personalized.
I would rather have marshmallow and wait for the (genius) creator of Xposed to integrate it into Nougat. What I noticed right from the start with Nougat was that apps install very quickly due to whatever reason that Nougat handles installation differently than all previous android versions I have used.

What version of cm /lineage is best for n5? In terms of speed and stability?

Go for 13.0 which is Android Marshmellow 6.0.1, this was the last 'stable' release of CyanogenMod. I have no experience with Nougat on N5 yet, but I suspect performance drawbacks as it is not officially (as in Google) supported anymore.
Also, there is no Xposed framework available for Android 7.1, I'll stick with CM 13.0 for now. That said, I just checked and noticed there aren't any Lineage 13.0 builds anymore. If you are nosy, you can try out the Lineage 14.1 ROM.

Thank you.

Stick with Marshmallow, totally. Nougat has an annoying camera bug
It's the CM version right? No lineage version out yet?

Bro, try out the CM/Lineage OS 14.1 by Dark eyes. The ROM is great!!
I think Nougat is an upgrade for N5. Smoother and more features. Smoooooth. I was always on stock before, so that's my comparison. I've tried both DarkRom versions (caf and regular), and both Lineage versions (unofficial caf and official regular), I think they're all an improvement over mm. I settled on the official Lineage rom, as I prefer simple.

Android 6 working on the Pixel?

I'm wondering how difficult it would be to run a Marshmallow ROM on the Pixel.
I wanted to run Xposed on the Pixel until Xposed for Android 7 is working.
I'm wondering if just installing an Android 6 ROM and kernel would have any chance in booting.

I think something like this would be pretty difficult. I'm not sure if it's possible but maybe a 6.0 from source if the device tree and what not could be imported from 7.1 to 6.0. I believe if that is done then it's just a matter of compiling a 6.0 build. I've had some success compiling AOSP but it's been a while and I didn't get that deep into it. Maybe someone with some more experience can chime in. Sounds like a fun group project.

MM rom for D801?

Need a marshmallow rom for my T-Mobile 801, as xposed is not yet ready for nougat. I can get nougat from lineage, but need xposed to work. Would prefer an old cyanogen mod rom if anyone has a cm13 build lying around on their computer, but would suffice with any rom that is marshmallow.

Resurrection Remix Android 7 Nougat for S6?

The website I went to was:
www.resurrectionremix.com
which the download led me to
https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/
The thing is, after much investigation, I realized that the "kenzo" or "bacon" or "capricon" prefixes mean that the file is specifically meant for a specific phone model.
So... Am I right? Or can I just flash this one I downloaded to my Galaxy S6 SM-920I:
RR-N-v5.8.3-20170621-kenzo-Nightly.zip
If I'm right then, where can I find the OFFICIAL release of Resurrection Remix Nougat for S6?
I found a thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...evelopment/rom-ressurrection-remix-m-t3271228
which is the UNOFFICIAL version which makes me uncomfortable because I'm worried that the app does not have the full features of the official releases. However mainly I'm just looking into resurrection remix because of its said performance and battery life.
Also the ROM is marshmallow android 6.... I want it as android 7 :crying:
I'd recommend going to this Thread here >> https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ressurection-remix-unofficial-nougat-t3548327
I installed it on my S6 Edge GM925F and am very pleased with it, there's a few more updated builds out there as well from the Nexus Rom website but not sure if it's open to be linked.
any more recommendations?
bump

Pure Android Nougat Rom

Are there any Roms for the note 5 that are nougat as well as just a strictly android experience, without the TouchWiz overlay. Been looking around but can't seem to find anything. If you know of one please point me in the right direction.
(If there isn't one at the moment, I guess marshmallow would be fine too)
Thanks
There's a lineage and ressurection remix rom in the note 5 forum.
