[June 11,2017][100% Working][5.0+][Android O DP3] Pixel Launcher from Android O DP3 - E 2015 Themes and Apps

Hi ,
It's the update of my first zip on Pixel Launcher , no many changes this time
I'm Not responsible if you break your device, but don't worry if you follow those instruction , nothing will happen to your phone/tablet/...
do not hesitate to ask me question , I'll answer you as soon as possible
How to install:
-Uninstall Pixel Launcher
-Reboot into recovery
-Flash My Zip
-clear dalvik/art cache
-reboot
-you're done
If there are any problems , reply this post and I'll solve it
If pixel launcher is installed as system app , you'll need root to uninstall it before flashing my zip
you can uninstall it by 2 methods :
1st method :
- download some root uninstaller from the google play store
- uninstall this app
2nd method:
-download a root explorer ( like root browser)
-go into /system/app or /system/priv-app
-search for the folder named "NexusLauncherPrebuilt"
-check if the apk into this folder has the pixel launcher's icon
-delete the folder
Leave a like if the thread was helpful

Edit#1: I removed the cringy lines, I couldn't take anymore to wake up at 4AM and think about my first posts...
And IDK where the link is, but I don't think it's useful to anyone anymore...

New update
Changelog:
-fixed P in priv-app folder and app data can't be cleared
How to install:
before flashing it make sure you removed the old folder " Priv-app" with the capital letter P
the one with the little p is part of your system, don't delete it , if you aren't sure who is the right folder ,you can clic on it and see if there are more than 1 folder in it. If there is more than 1 folder , that's the wrong folder
but keep at mind :
--->DELETE ONLY THE FOLDER WITH THE CAPITAL P <---
Download:

reserved too

reserved (if I need one more )

Hey Man,
installing this zip, the launcher will be installed in Priv-app folder (with capital P) but LOS folder is priv-app (with small p).. And it requires to manually move app. Not a big problem, but maybe you want to fix the installation script..
Thanks for the app :good:

[THEMING -Basic] - Easy Way to EDIT SystemUI.apk/Apps Background

Hi there! Just wanna share..
Just a basic background on how to theme your ROMS. - ofcourse, give thanks to the developer of your ROMs! .
I made this thread for those users who have personal wishes for their Phones. Ofcourse, ROM developers cannot please all of its users. so just make your own and be happy!.
I just made it easy for easy understanding and for the newbies.
Tried so many times and tested
I've already tried editing the systemUI.apk of different ROMs.
Here's what I did :
FIRST : Download 7zip to open the archived apk. - that's free.
Extracting first the Zip File..
(make sure you copy the original before extracting it for back up)
1. Download the ROM.zip and extract it to your PC.
2. Go to \system\app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-ldpi/Mdpi/hdpi
3. View the PNG files you wanted to change and make sure to remember its' file name.
4. After editing/changing the file/image you wanted, you can save it anywhere from your PC, let's say on your Desktop.
- Make sure that the file name still remains as is..
*After you're done editing, updating the PNG files you wish to change, follow this steps to update the zip file :
NOTE : You can apply transparency by editing the PNG file to photoshop by reducing the opacity of the image
1. Go to the original ZIP file of ROM.Zip from your PC
2. Right Click the folder and select 7 ZIP -->> open archive
3. Close all of windows/Browers (or minimize)
4. Go to \system\app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-ldpi/mdpi/hdpi and it will open a new window of 7zip showing the files inside the zip.
5. Now, given your edited PNG files or downloaded png files (assuming that files are located in your desktop). - Click and simply DRAG the file(s) from your desktop to \system\app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-ldpi\ mdpi/hdpi
6. It will ask you to confirm the action for it will replace the existing PNG file that you're trying to change.
7. Make sure that the file name of the one you edited/downloaded are THE SAME. -
8. After dragging and replacing the files you wanted, then you're good to go!
9. Close the 7zip window and that's it!.
You can now install the .zip by copying the UPDATED zip file to your SD Card.
(Note: Make sure to copy the updated one, not the backed up one)
Install the zip file from the original thread's instructions and reboot twice.
After that, you have now a customized systemUI.apk.
For those who do not want to reinstall the whole package.. follow these steps:
1. I assumed that you have the zip file of your ROM.
2. Extract it and go to \system\app\
3. Separate the SystemUi.apk - put it on your desktop. create a back up,
Right Click SystemUi.apk and select 7 ZIP -->> extract here - just to view the files you wanted to change.
Just go the folder and search for the PNG files.
4. Right Click SystemUi.apk and select 7 ZIP -->> open archive.
5. Go to \res\drawable-ldpi/mdpi/hdpi
6. Click and simply DRAG the PNG file(s) from your desktop to \res\drawable-ldpi/mdpi/hdpi
7. It will ask you to confirm the action for it will replace the existing PNG file that you're trying to change.
8. Make sure that the file name of the one you edited/downloaded are THE SAME. -
9. After dragging and replacing the files you wanted, then you're good to go!
APPLYING :
1. Download and install rootexplorer.apk
2. Download the png files you wanted to update.
3. Copy and paste the NEW SystemUi.apk that you have updated/Edited to your SD card.
4. Open root explorer in your galaxy y then go and tap MOUNT R/W.
5. Go to \SDCard and go to new SystemUI.apk that you have updated.
6. Long press the file and select copy
7. Press back and go to \system\app - tap MOUNT R/W at the top.
8. Paste the new SystemUI.apk from there.
(Note : You will encounter a lot of force closes for the exixsting systemui is currently being used by your phone. - just ignore it a lot and scroll down to look for the new SystemUI.apk.
9. Once you get there, long press on it and select permissions:
from the pop up, make the checked one like this :
•___•____ •
•___ .____.
•___ .____.
where Dots are the checked one - Bigger dots
After encountering a lot of force closes, then reboot the phone and that's it!
(Force Closes are normal, DON't PANIC - logically, you are currently using your systemUI.apk so just ignore it)
NOTE : You can also apply the same steps in editing system files apps, just edit the .png files and locate it using 7zip(when you already opened it). Have a little LOGIC on how to edit system app background - same process. just different apk files and directory .

Vrtheme issue - Onle for developers/expert discusion.

So here I have noticed issue with using vrtheme on new 4.3 MJ2 and seeking some Linux expert help to solve it.
work around
Simply using vrtheme causing FCs, SO i have changes the destination to see outcome file structure.
-All changes we have applied through vrtheme applied to output file. but icons get changed to android icon.
-Now if you move that output file to other destination using root explorer then also it regenerates original icons and we can use as final apk ready to push to System/app
-Again if we giving same command through recovery, it doesn't works
-Also copying with terminal emulator with cat command, it regenerates original structure. again same command using recovery fails to do it.
May be recovery issue??
here is log cat along with used vrtheme script.

doc, am not a linux expert, but i tried to inject your black aosp vrtheme files into the apk and flash them from cwm, it kills the wifi and have to wipe and reflash the whole rom. so, perhaps you want to put more attention to it.
waiting for your aosp theme and thanks a lot.
Wifi issue will be solved by reflashing recovery
I can show you temporary solution.
Just change path of pushing files to other from System/app then 1. you want get FCc bcoz it is not in system/app
2. Now from where you have defined destination from there move to some pther place with root explorer, now you will be able to see icons, once icons are correct you can pust to system/app.

sorry doc, but i cannot understand what you mean.
do you mean i should change the flashing path (in the script)? or do you mean i should copy the apks manually into the system/app by root explorer? if you mean the later, i can do, but the first one i don't.
i can see all the icons, just the wifi would not start after i flashed the modified apks through cwm flash. what do you mean by reflashing recovery?
Ok making clear again who want to use vrtheme
1.Change path in vrtheme installertheme.sh from system/app to other (e.g. just system)
2.Now when you flash vrtheme, you won't see any changes in system bcoz all apps will be in system and not in System/app.
3. Manually cut all app with root explorer from system to SDcard
4. Now you can see correct icons of all appl after moving to sdcard.
5.Now move those apk to system/app OR System/framework, where it should be.
6.Enjoy all the changes now in system
7.By this process you will lose wifi and you have to reflash recovery to get it back.
PS : For AOSP for MJ2 I have made it with same method above and uploading, Once uploaded will post to MJ2 thread, you have to simply flash that file. without doing anything above.

Doc.
I just came across thia issue thread discussion.
Surprised to see vrtheme issues.
I think it is worth trying morphing instead of vrtheme.
If it fails, then it is not a recovery issue..m
It might be android 4.3 security files that I noticed in /system...
I will dig in further and check...
Thx for sharing this discussion thread.

ALL YOU NEED:
- rooted device
- explorer with root access (i use root explorer but any would do just fine)
- a zip program on your computer (i use winrar but 7zip is great to)

Samsung Floating Messages

Samsung Floating Messages/ Air Messages For Motion ROM And Based ROM sDescription
I think you may be familiar with the Floating Messages Feature on the Android till now.
This Feature provides a Pop-up For an incoming message
There are alternate ways and things you can compare it to
- It can be enabled through Xposed Module - Gives a Simple Recieving UI
- Lollipop Floating Message - A Material Style Pop-up with View Option
- And The one HERE is Original Samsung 5.1.1 Floating Message - Provides an Floating Widget Pop-up Which can be moved around + Has Option to Call, Reply and View the message + Heads-up Pop up For Other Messaging apps such as Whatsapp, Wechat, etc.
Sooo... I have Recompiled and Ported the original one on our devices...
Installation
There are 2 ways to install this-->
1) Auto Installation -
1. Download the Flashable ZIP Provided
2. Flash it via Custom Recovery - You can use any - CWM, TWRP, Philz
2) Manual Installation
1. Download the ZIP Provided
2. Extract it using an Flie Explorer
3. Move/Replace all Files in Folder 'system' to the respective places
4. Change permission of files and folders using an Root File Explorer
- The .apk and other files have permission - rw- r-- r--
-The Folders have the permission - rwx r-x r-x
Here is the way to get the Floating Message Toggle-
Download And Install a System apps Database Editor - I have used the SQLite Editor Application
Open the apps section in it and search for Settings Storage
Then Open the settings.db a database in Settings storage
Next select the Option System
Now Search For the like - notification app list
Click the Edit option - Now a new window will pop up saying Name & Values
Add this Line in values-
FloatingMessages;
Now Save it, Exit the Application & Do a reboot
Screenshots And More Information
Screenshots with comparison have been provided in the Attachment. Please see there.
The 1st Picture Shows the toggle, 2nd Shows the Samsung Floating/Air Message, and 3rd shows lollipop heads up notification for comparison purpose.
Status
Version: v1.0
Working Status: Working No Bugs
Note
- If you face any sort of Boot loop, you must not blame me, as you yourself decided to Flash/Install this feature, I have no responsibility
- But If you face any sort of problem, you can mention it here, so others and I can help you solve it
- Please don't try to make complains/threats that I have copied this thread, because I have not, I have Recompiled and made the Settings and Ported feature form other Samsung 5.1.1 Devices
- I assure you that this is tested by me on 2 Devices with aapav01 Motion ROM Beta v16.8 And Siemens92 Motion ROM(Modded) v1.3.1 And its working
- There is an early Floating Message available under this section but please don't start comparing this with that because its not that and is completely different
- I don't support copying and You are not allowed to copy my work without permission, If you want to use if please PM me.

Do u mean that u get FC due to this Mode
or that exist already
i hav tried this on adiytaRom v2 n motion rom beta v16.8
ya bro its fc
Guys can u do me a favour - here is the thing
I hav tested it on motion rom v 16.8 n older n aditya v 1 and v 2
Not on v 17
I found that in aditya rom it gav me fc bcuz the settings folder name was different so i replayed the previous one n fixed the issue but forgot to mention it here - so plz check in priv-app folder that weather u hav 2 different secsettings folders or the secsettings folder contain 2 different secsettings apks
Then delete the older one folder n check if the new secsettings folder has correct permission
Or delete both the apks(if there r 2 apks)
extract the zip file n copy the secsettings apk in secsettings folder
Or delete any secsettings folder present in priv apps directory n flash the zip again
U can try any method n plz report here if u hav a query pm me
If it helped u give a thank
I consider to give last method a try n then comment or tell here
