Link To Spectrum App

How to Use It:
Download the app from given link
Download boot image flashable zip's (I will provide you 2 boot image flashable zip's 1 will contain stock kernel (3.18.x) (stock.img) & another will contain ZA kernel (3.18.48) (zero.img)
Boot in Twrp ( Custom Recovery ) take backup of boot partition 1st then go in Install section Locate the boot.img flashable zip ( stock.zip/zero.zip ) & Flash the zip
Next Flash SuperSu/Magisk (*.zip) Whatever You are using. If you were using before Magisk then flash Magisk only & vice-versa
Now Open Spectrum app & Grant Super User access to the app
Atlast Change the default Mode ( by default it will be on Balance mode )(Balance Mode has no tweaks)
Enjoy

Stock Kernel
Balance mode will set governor to "interactive" ( by default it will be selected ) ( no tweaks ) ( Max clock speed = 1300Mhz Min clock speed = 299Mhz )
Performance mode will set governor to "interactive" ( Max clock speed = 1040Mhz Min clock speed = 299Mhz )
Battery mode will set governor to "powersave" locking clock speed to around 819Mhz ( best for battery saving ) ( Max clock speed = 819Mhz Min clock speed = 299Mhz )

IMPDon't use 2 kernel manager app at the same time
i.e
Kernel auditor & Spectrum
Use only one from both of them or else it might damage your hardware and i will not be the responsible person for that
If you want to use Kernel auditor with Spectrum Don't touch The Cpu section Of the app ( in Kerenel auditor ) Kernel auditor is necessary for changing I/O shedulers,etc....

[Kernel] ardatdat kernel v1.5 [CWM] (OC/ROOT/VR/3G/init.d) (2012-02-05 13:00GMT)

Happy New Year of Dragon !!!
The first wonderful kernel for Galaxy R in the year of dragon comes out now!
Change log in v1.5:
- Remove lagfree governor as it seems to cause some laggy behavior
- Put back 608Mhz frequency
- Increase stability & improve smoothness by reverting some commits in v1.4
- No worry, keep the 3G/wifi counter fix!
(v1.5 is a quick fix for v1.4 and if you have already flashed v1.4, please skip it and jump directly to v1.5. Thanks)
Change log in v1.4:
- 3G counter fix: fix the 3G counter problem. Now you can measure the data in/out using your favorite software! (e.g. 3G watchdog)
- Add support to load any scripts located in /system/etc/init.d/ upon booting the device
- Patch up to the newest ZCLA1 kernel source as released by Samsung open source
- Allow more finely control on the brightness level (you will feel it when you slide to control your brightness)
- Add a new frequency: 960Mhz (it is good for daily use)
- Remove the frequency: 608Mhz
- Added new lagfree CPU governor (You can now turn off 'profile' in SetCPU and use the lagfree governor)
- Use the optimized Linaro ARM Cross toolchain for compilation
- Added the VR I/O Scheduler (make default)
- Enable SWAP support
- Cherry picks several commits from CyanogenMod LGE star kernel
- Makefile optimization
- Compatible with almost any android version 2.3.4/2.3.5/2.3.6
*** Noticed that after flashing this version, your screen brightness will go dimmer.
But now, you can fine tune the brightness level in the brightness setting.
Just slide through the brightness control bar and you will feel the different. ***
The introduction of lagfree governor is funny here. It will go up to the max freq. easily, but it will go down very slowly in nearly every 10 seconds. The purpose is to reduce the number of changing in frequencies. To make good use of it, disable any 'profile' in SetCPU. If you don't like the lagfree governor, just use back the 'interactive' one.
Special thanks to: CyanogenMod, intersectRaven, pershoot, faux123 for their kernels and references.
If you have press 'thanks' in the first post, you can say it again in the post #2

==============================================================================
Happy New Year 2012 !!!
As the new kernel is flashed using CWM Recovery, I make a new thread here for it.
The new kernel, based from ZSKK5 is compiled. I make it flash-able by CWM recovery. So, you must install CWM in order to flash this kernel. (Guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406541 Thanks s4sixty & legion1911.).
Below are the details of the kernel:
Features
=======
- For Samsung Galaxy R (i9103) only
- Based on Samsung open source, ZSKK5 kernel
- Now support auto-rotate in ZSKK5 ROM
- Added new frequencies: 1200 & 1350Mhz
- Setting of max 1350Mhz through SetCPU
- All stock frequencies are untouched: 216-1000Mhz
- Limit the boot up frequencies to be 216-1000 to avoid unstable boot up
- SetCPU voltage adjustments
- Interactive governor patches
- Add autogroup scheduling feature: automated per session task groups
- Simple IO Scheduler (make default)
- 2.6.36.4 patches
- Speed up framebuffer copy
- memory copy macros and functions fine tune
- Misc. kernel fixes
- Rooted (embedded su & Superuser.apk)

(No autogroup scheduling) (Seems more stable)

Tell me if you need a Odin3 flash-able package.
Thanks ardatdat! I'm testing it in a minute ! Good job with .zip version!
EDIT: My first observations (2.3.6 KK5):
1)Benchmarks
Benchmarks' results are (compared to the odin version = 1.35 vs. 1.3 ghz) generally lower, and statistically more spread out. I mean with that:
quadrant: once you get 3100, another time 3990, third time 2700 (even 1900) - (on 1.35)
smart bench: productivity index is slightly lower (but no big difference 4450 vs. 4560), game index is much lower (2600 vs ca. 2900)
Linpack (I think it's the most trustworthy benchmark): this shows really good results and huge progress compared to stock. But even here (single test) you can get over 50 on one and 17 on the other hand.
Antutu: results generally lower, but very close.
Devices react different on OC, so it doesn't mean that anybody else will notice the same. But I think that in my case the older version was slightly more stable. Standard deviation was lower, but maybe it's just the frequency...
I keep testing...

odin package plz
Thanks a lot.. Works like a charm and as described...
Will update issues if any~~
Happy new year to all...

I am so happy.
THANKS TO ARDATDAT WE NOW HAVE A ANDROID 2.3.6. CUSTOM KERNEL WITH OVERCLOCK, ROOT, OPTIMIZATIONS, THAT CAN BE INSTALLED WITH CWM SO IT DOES NOT CAUSE YELLOW TRIANGLE AND DOES NOT INCREASE THE DOWNLOAD MODE COUNTER!

Thanks for your testing.
I observe that the reason maybe due to the 'autogroup' scheduling being used in this kernel. Maybe it is the reason causing the variations. I may later release a kernel without autogroup patches and see if it will become more stable.

Only difference is with/without autogroup
autogroup is a kernel patch. You can search more on the internet.
without auto group is awesome bcoz of auto group version giving me SOME GPRS Problems but No Problems in This without auto group version cool its very stable version
one more ardatdat can u give us set cpu profiles and how use voltages ,advance settings
rocking work bro .........really ur the master
I'm using version without autogroup and with 1350 performance governor setting, my phone with Earth HD live wallpaper is so laggy.
Compared to Incredible 2 with same wallpaper it's ridiculous (like SGR 15 fps and Inc2 60 fps). Maybe Tegra 2 needs new drivers...
I'll try some other launcher beside TouchWiz
Btw thanks for your time and effort.
Edit: ZEAM LAUNCHER is PERFORMANCE BEAST

Um, what about it?
Someone posted a really low bench, and I didn't want people to get a bad impression of the performance of this ROM, so I tested MinSense (under my typical benchmarking environment) and posted the results.

Welcome.!!!! to Another its Not the End for our N900 as (SueMax) New Kernel thread is here ! Nice to share my N900 Daily driver Kernel
Main idea to build this kernel for my own use,tho and secondly poor development support for our Exynos n900 out of our 4 kernel developers
only 2 are active but i feel like not giving up till i move to new Note -4 (upcoming)
So i made some Hand picked tweaks only and tried my best to stick as much Stock kernel with Minimal tweaks Possible and
Also tried my best to get Rid of that Heating Issue while Gaming and Heavy Usage .
If you liked my hard-work and Story kindly Hit THANX button it cost nothing + for Donation please must vist :http://www.cry.org (even 1$ contribution) will Make me Happy :good:

@djmax81. Hi and thanks for your kernel. Can I just ask a request? Could you please make the stock kernel (without any changes) compatible with cuatom roms? The stock kernels are not compatible and when you flash them, the Rom won't boot or maybe it will boot, but with so much force close that will make you change the kernel immediately! Could you do that please? With stock values, no oc, no uv, just compatible with custom roms. TIA.

siavash2death : i understand that but my kernel has all the Cpu settings +UV table as stock values .(Until you change it)..coz its just an option for power users ,tho my whole idea to build this kernel ..is stay as close to stock and get better battery and no useless tweaks which make kernel unstable eg: lag or FC or heating issues ::angel:
can someone share the battery stats /usage ?
I will share after ....as now charging my phone but its 4 hrs + screen time and 1 day + standby with normal settings
some informations about miui tests.
antutu score after overclocked 2.1ghz with stock voltage. lower than stock rom+stock kernel. but may be miui affects it.

Cool .!!! Seems be fine ... as its beta version .+1st ever miui base kernel for n900 .. will fix minor bugs for wifi -delay and will add universal charger too ...in final release .... thanx ...for test... at moment im also using miui flashed it last night to test ...for stable release ...
@sawgent would ya like to have gpu kick at 600mhz or 667mhz for miui ? As it gonna cut on battery but more performance .... as my intentions to make kernel more stable n less tweaky battery friendly as im not planning to make benchmark scale
Like your kernel as since yesterday after installation no heatup issue. But request can you add support for S-Covers (the non compliant ones ?)

Awesome kernel
Best alternative to starkz kernel
Impressive spectrum profiles!
No need to tinker stuff, the spectrum profiles are great for each purpose. You can unleash the beast and saving battery on the same kernel! Great work, dev.
Great work sir :good:
woooow!!!!!, testing, installation no problem, great work
Gonna give it a try
Can I flash this custom kernel over the other custom kernel I'm using now?

idk about this version tho, just try it bro.
After facing "Encryption Failed" thing u can still flash boot.img afterwards. Try it won't hurt.
this high OC is no danger to the life of the device?
Thanks for this awsome kernel.. Install and working good on oreo LOS extended by alexey.
Can u please add an iptable/netfilter module on ur next released?
Thanks.

I recommend the oc version, use spectrum battery profile as daily driver and spectrum gaming profile for heavy task like gaming.
If you want to unlock mido's potential and you do gaming but still can save battery while needed, go OC.
If you don't need extra power, go non OC.
But it all depends on you.

Ok. I don't do gaimg and don't need power but will still try the oc version with spectrum battery profile. If it doesn't work well then will go non oc version

OK, so that's mean I have to wipe everything first
Then install cusrom followed by GApps after that custom kernel, right?

It's always at risk, especially battery life
My advice is when you're using this kernel especially the OC version (gaming)
Install external cooling device, it's quite cheap
great work, is it possible to correct the brightness control buttons?

[KERNEL][CUSTOM] Eureka kernel for all variants of Galaxy A40 for android 10(Q) & 11(R) & 12(S) ROMs

Hi all,
this is the thread for a custom kernel i made for Samsung Galaxy A40.
The custom kernel has been named Eureka which is a greek work which means "I have found the solution". This multi-purpose kernel is the solution for battery, gaming, performance for A40. On creating this kernel, I believed that 1 kernel can be all of the above if properly tweaked!
As from Eureka R9.0, four kernel variants are available inside 1 same zip. This has been made possible using AROMA Installer.
Compatibility:
This kernel is compatible with AOSP GSIs/ROMs, OneUI2 and OneUI3. As from R9.0, there is only 2 variants of zip to download. One is called EMS and the other one is called HMP. Continue reading to learn more about them.
FEATURES:
* Disabled Samsung security features
* Enabled all governors + added other governors
* Overclocked CPU as follows:
BIG Cores: from 1768 MHz to 2288 MHz.LIL Cores: from 1586 MHz to 1794 MHz.* Underclocked CPU as follows:
BIG Cores: from 936 MHz to 208 MHz.LIL Cores: from 839 MHz to 208 MHz.* Added GPU thermal and voltage control
* Added latest boeffla wl blocker V 1.1.0 and disabled some wakelocks
* Network speed improvement
* Enable zram support and set default compressor as zstd.
* Switch to a lower charging voltage more quickly.
* GPU max frequency overclocked from 845 MHz to 1300 MHz
* Implemented Dynamic FSync 2.0
* Implemented a custom hotplug driver to enhance battery management
* Implemented Power Suspend driver
* High torch brightness on custom roms/gsis
* Has Spectrum support
* Automatic detection of magisk - If u are rooted, u don't need to flash magisk after kernel.
* Upstreamed kernel version from 4.4.177 to 4.4.302
* Built with Vortex Clang 14 toolchain with LTO. Reason: Better performance
* Support for EMS (Exynos Mobile Scheduler) added
Please read the changelog on github for full list of changes.
KNOWN ISSUES:
* Maybe ADB cannot be used at the same time as MTP
SOME MINOR TWEAKS FOR BEST GPU PERFORMANCE:
* Set GPU power policy to "always on"
* Set min and max GPU frequency to 1200/1300 MHz
* Disable GPU thermal manager to prevent GPU frequency from dropping
* Games don't require high CPU frequency because they depend more on GPU. You can therefore decrease CPU max frequencies to reduce heating of the device.
We have developed our own kernel manager called EKManager which is a fork of HkTweaks. It is compatible only with Eureka Kernels. You can download it from here:

Reference about EMS kernel:
Energy Aware Scheduling (EAS) gives the scheduler the ability to predict the impact of its decisions on the energy consumed by CPUs. EAS relies on an Energy Model (EM) of the CPUs to select an energy efficient CPU for each task. Allowing to save up battery even further. EMS aka Exynos Mobile Scheduler, is a fork of EAS for Exynos. We ported to our 4.4.y kernel. As written above, EMS kernel is good for battery saving. Some words from kernel official docs: - EAS operates only on heterogeneous CPU topologies (such as Arm big.LITTLE) because this is where the potential for saving energy through scheduling is the highest.
EMS kernel + pwrutilx governor is very good at battery saving according to our test.
Reference about HMP kernel:
It's just the stock scheduler that comes with stock kernel. Basically it's the normal kernel.
What kernel variant to flash once inside AROMA installer?
1) AOSP Legacy Q/R/S - If you are using an old Eureka ROM which was released before February 2022, choose this.
2) AOSP Q/R/S (New) - If you are using an Eureka ROM built as from February 2022, choose this.
3) OneUI 2 - For any OneUI 2 roms (stock/ports).
4) OneUI 3 - For any OneUI 3 roms (stock/ports).

Huge thank you for this great job
Works nickel on my firm stock
I don't play, I wouldn't vote.
In the end someone created a modified and stable kernel and with no bugs for our device. I have been waiting for this a long time. I haven't tested it yet, but thank you in advance. Great work, go on man.

Hi,
Yeah, max frequency is not selected automatically because newer Exynos's kernels are very complicated. Their is no fix to this issue in any kernel at this time. But max frequency can be used by setting min and max frequency to that value.
Thx for your feedback
hoooooo .... it goes great ...

Extract boot.lz4 and dtbo.lz4 from stock firmware (AP file). Compress both files in a single .tar archive.
Flash this .tar file in AP slot in Odin.
Tool to compress and decompress archives on windows is 7zip standard version available for free on the web.
