Hi everyone,
I would like to ask the Honor 8 community how to rollback from LineageOS back to EMUI. Indeed, i was surprised by the camera problems, accompanied by the lack of tethering, and these two problems are dealbreakers for me.
Basically, i would like to know how can i revert back to EMUI once on LineageOS/RROS/AOSPA. I believe it is the same procedure for all custom ROMs (more or less), and that asking this question might help others too

Couple days ago i've done it this way.
1. Download rollback package and full package from honor website ( dont double my mistake, it MUST be package for your country/region).
2. Unzip rollback package and put dload folder with UPADTE.app inside ur sd card. Flash it buy pressing vol up + vol down + power buttons and dont release it till the operation begin.
3. Then do the same with full package. Dont double dload folders.
4. If Ur phone cant boot, Press vol up + power buttons. Factory reset + clear cache. Restart.
Now ur phone should boot and u can download EMUI 5.0 OTA update if u want. Ur phone bootloader is locked and u have no root aswell.

Thank you for the instructions, but are you saying that the bootloader will relock after flashing back to stock ? And if so, can I use the same unlock code?

Yup, I think so. Yesterday i boot my phone to bootloader by ADB and it was locked (no annoying message at boot anymore). And about the code, i'm pretty sure it is one code for one IMEI number so you will be able to unlock it with the same one.

I cannot find update.app on the EMUI website. Please could I have a link or something?

LineageOS is great, no questions asked, but not currently because of the current deal-breaking bugs. I'm talking about Tethering not working, no dual-lens support (on all ROMs currently, but subject to change), and very little IR support.

Bootloader will relock if u revert back to MM just beacuse lot of things got changed in emui5 .
Even if u unlock bootloader on MM and try to update to nougat , it will relock bootloader again .
So keep ur unlock code safe

That would be great! I'm using L04/ and I came from the lastest update..
Everything was running just fine until I switched from aospa to lastest RR Rom and I must have messed something up and got stuck in a boot loop. After a while I got things up and running except now my reception is terrible. And of course I accidentally formatted my sdcard and lost my backup.
Rumor has it if I rollback to stock I can fix my reception problem.

Yes, but nothing happens. It's brings me to a screen that says it's installing which happens quickly and than it reboots to another similar screen and says resetting user preferences (something like that) and than it brings me back to a fresh new setup screen of the custom ROM.

I'm not really sure how to obtain that part of the update... I did get the rollback version which I thought would get me a new update.app but it didn't...

First install this package .

Goto sdcard/dload and place the update.app in dload folder .
Power off the phone and click volume up + vol down + power and then done . It will install the rollback package .
Now download and extract this package.

I want to downgrade to MM from Nougat version 360 to B122. Downloaded the official MM from Honor Site and rollback package.
Flashed Rollback successfully but when I try to flash the B122 it says Could not find update package!

I have extracted to the internal memory of the device because the Code on the phone dialer doesnt work on mine.
Right now I'm stuck here, I have no updater app on my phone and any version from Nougat or MM I try to flash gives me this error. Don't know what to do

I'm saying, let it boot... Then at the boot screen where it says hit the power button to boot normally or hold the volume up for 3 seconds to go to erecovery you just hold volume up for 3 seconds. It'll download your stock package and reset your phone entirely.

Thanks, I downloaded the package from another computer and it worked. Seem like a bad downloads from the computer I was using.

Now i want my phone back to normal (factory recovery and rom etc)

I'm kinda new to huawei roms and stuff.

it's so simple make a full backup with twrp recovery and put the stock rom (update.app) in sd card dload folder now turn off device completely press volume both and power button sometime it'll boot into recovery but you have to try two or three time after that it'll go for update.
MOST IMPORTANT you should choose actual firmware for your device like(b560 or b571) these are just for example you have to download correct firmware for your device.

I really need help, i was trying to go back to stock and i have no idea what happened, was flashing just fine and then it said crust gave me a error so i thought to just wipe cache and start over well when i did that, it went to a white screen now all i can do is get into fastboot mode, tried almost everything, have the stock firmware and roll back files but i cant do the 3 button method just boots to a blue screen over and over agin then back to the white screen. can someone please help me

You can't get into recovery or erecovery? Only fastboot? Does it say you still have the bootloader unlocked?

says '"error mode" please update system again then it says error! func no : 16 (lmp3 image) error no : 1 (security verify faild!) then it will keep looping and the Huawei update extrator wont load the update.app, im just a mess right now cause this is my work phone and im freaking out right now

It's most likely a corrupted update.app thats probably the problem. Redownload it

yeah i cant get in to either, and the system img fails when i try to flash it in fastboot mode, and twrp wont boo teven if it successfully flashes on my end, and when i do the 3 button combo it just flashes a blu screen over and over again, i feel like im screwed

Nah there's still hope. I screwed up worse. I had the same problem that I couldn't get into recovery. But I had the FRP Lock and Bootloader Locked also. But what I had to do was pay 15 Euros for a program called DC Phoenix and it fixed all my problem. Not all is lost

I need help too, I have a 64 gig US version. Just rooted it today and got TWRP, made a back up. Flashed 2 roms, and none would go past the boot screen so I tried to do my back up and it error'd out at the last minute. I would like to just revert everything back to stock and lock the bootloader. IS this possible? if I do the EMUI update it fails, prob cause the boot loader is locked.

But after driving yo nrd keys we have to again unlock bootloader, yesterday i did it , one uodate drives me to nrd , but the bootloader shows me it was unlocked but nothing is able to flash , then i again has to unlock the bootloader and falshed .

To get rid off the nrd test keys what do I have to do? I wanted to install the new version everyone is talking about (sp01), last time I tried to install something from twrp it failed
if i go to the restore section i have 3 options, 2 that are nrd90m (i dont want those) and one from an earlier time which i suppose is before i ****ed up and installed this test thing. Can i install sp01 from here? I downloaded the packages from the firmware finder app

my model is nrd90m testkeys, which is a test version. I thought i was updating to c432 or something like that but it wasnt... im still on emui 5.0 though

Download a full firmwaremfor your device. Put it in dload folder inside SD card. Then press volume down, volume up and power button until it lights up. Flashing will start.

Okay, I might be able to help. If you can get into twrp you need to do that now and see if you can find the update package, you'll be attempting to extract the recovery from there.
If you cant get into twrp, plug into the computer, place the rollback package into a dload folder on the root of an sd card and try the three finger update.
Installing twrp screws with regular erecovery and i've gotten back from this exact situation, I'll do my best to walk you through what you need to do.

If you cant get into twrp, plug into the computer, place the rollback package into a dload folder on the root of an sd card and try the three finger update.

i can get into twrp 3.0.3-0 but not 3.1
That's fine, start going through your file system and see if you can find the update package or if you have a twrp backup that's the easiest way to go

i dont mind a custom rom but when i try to install RR 5.8.4 i get a black screen and 5.8.3 gives me error 7
Maybe try lineage os? That's what I'm on currently

No dual camera support as far as I know,but the color one works. And yes, by flashing the regular recovery and doing the three finger update
