absolutely correct and then you need to flash lineage vendor.zip as well. as another tip remove any fingerprints you have set up first before installing this rom
i'm already on this lineage os 14.1 and it works amazingly. thank you devs for you continued work
Edit (noticed some small things):
- Adding a weather source is not working despite downloading one
- On first set up of phone using a fingerprint to unlock will still ask for pattern or pincode. fixed on phone reboot
- Not sure if NFC is working or not, it seems to but also seems not to. if someone would like to take a look

OK the Rom is very smooth but I'm back to BlueWei, I want to make some Backups with Titanium....
Wich SuperSu should try to flash?

So this version doesn't work on dual SIM L19 version?

i've installed the rom following the instructions, it seems to be booting forever with the los boot animation playing.
edit: might be cause i wasnt on B386 prior installing, gonna install B386 and see if that helps, will update comment when done.
edit 2: i dont know what fixed it, but i've installed latest version of twrp, and skipped on installing opengapps and it worked.
how can i get root on this?

What lineage_eva-vendor file does, is this the fix for the recovery reboots?

For full performance, I suggest flashing twrp, then reboot to recovery and format data and cache to f2fs filesystem.
Attention! This is going to delete your internal sdcard as well. Please backup everything before.
After this, install rom and gapps as usual.
Of course, you can format back to ext4 or to f2fs at any time, but you'll again loose all files, stored on the phone.

Thanks i installed rom it is so good but some bugs are there
1. I did not find update app
then who i will get ota update.
2. Pattern lock is not responding and only swipe is working.
3. Fp lock is not working .

First flash Official Marshmallow i.e CoolUI 8 and after that boot into system , now reboot to TWRP and flash any 3.18.xx based Rom Fingerprint will work ( if Rom supports FP ) in this case flash MadOS

It's clearly stated in the OP that 4G and Camera are not yet fully functional.
And "maybe" camera quality will always be better in stock rom.

Yes, as is already state into OP, you need to run EMUI 5.x on your device along with the TWRP by @OldDroid ... Nothing less and nothing more

yes install sucessefull, working greate, i have LTE too have no bug with. only Gallery missing for me.

Stupid question, but why? Is this some middleware that Huawei has not released the source for?
Are there no implementations for this Mali-T830MP2 GPU around or is there some other special 2D acceleration hardware in the phone that is better fit?

Why? I'm running RR for almost 2 months in Honor 8 with HWC also disabled and it's not a big problem to hinder you from using the ROM.

Yes but The UI is lagging a lot (is Slow) so why i should use it Then. I Like custom Roms very much but when this hwc Bug doesnt get fixed i wont use this rom

Thank you for your hard work, I am currently using a Chinese version of honor 9, might not be able to flush your ROM. Original style ROM may not be in line with Chinese usage, if you can is a great adapter miui9. Thank you

Is paranoid android the most reliable ROM for the Honor 9 atm?

I don't think there are many roms for this phone yet, RROS and AOSPA are the only two that are more and less working. Those issues mean that those four things are not behaving as they are supposed to.
