Why after nougat update there aren't custom ROMS based on the official Sony Nougat? Do all Developers have sold their z5?
i was wondering the same thing last week.. I would be happy with just a debloated rom with a few tweaks..

Because Nougat is a pain to create custom ROMs for (stock ROMs),
search for "Nougat" in each of those threads (preferrably https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/rom-slimx-optimized-rom-to-date-t3497907 )
and you'll see
either they sold their devices & replaced it with a newer one, or the device died off and similar ...

When will non-lte models get custom roms like cm11,cm12 or aosp, stock rom is boring now and no news of official lollipop.
So, I got this phone 2 years ago and I'm not planning to change it in the near future, but I got a little bored with the current CyanogenMod 12.1 based ROMs. Is it possible for a ROM like HydrogenOS or anything similar to be ported to our Xperia L? (I mean something more different from the almost stock Android ROMS)
I rooted my S6 a few month ago. Since then I'm only using Xposed, but no Custom Rom or Kernel. Now I want to try a Custom Rom, because Touchwiz is a big problem for many Xposed Modules. I also want the latest security patches.
Could you recommend me a custom Rom, that delivers the security patches and is AOSP? Do I need a custom kernel?
It's a G920F with 6.0.1 running. I used CF-Auto Root to root my device. I'm sorry, if my english is bad - I'm from Germany
We don't really have any AOSP ROMs or kernels for our mighty S6s since Samsung hasn't realeased Exynos source code. The only one you can try out is CM13 but it's just impossible to use as a daily driver. All in all, you have no other choice than going for a stock-based ROM and saying thanks to Samsung.
Ok, thank you anyway!
Have just got the S8+ I rooted it and am on a custom Nougat ROM, I see so many posts on Oreo BL and problems so my question is, how do I get from Nougat onto Oreo (not asking about an Oreo ROM, thats easy to flash) want to know about updating the BL/CP and how to do that and with what...? thanks

I jumped directly from stock Nougat rom to Oreo rom with no issues. Just backup your EFS & imei in twrp.
Alexis 5.3 is a very stable rom fyi
Let me rephrase better, is worth to move from the stock samsung Oreo Rom, to a custom Rom like "Havoc" "resurrection Remix" "LineageOS" (the stable version of these)? It's been a long time since I flashed a custom Rom. On my old OnePlus One the roms were faster and better. I find the stock s7 edge rom really good, but at the same time i'm sick of the samsung experience, I want some Stock Android on my phone without losing any performance of course. So, these Roms are actually good? Stable and fast as the stock one?
