hi, i've got a problem when receiving sms... the phone only displayed the number NOT his/her name with the number... i've got their number saved in my contacts n my SIM card... it's really annoying to receive a messages from a friend, but i don't recognize the number... n each time i click the number, the phone tell me that the number is not existed in my contact n offered to create new contact...
i've tried to overwrite the contact with the same number but it doesn't work...
pls help... thx
I texted my friend today and never got a reply. I then was on my Google Voice webpage and saw that my WP7 phone (a Lumia 900) had sent the text under my Google number and that my friend had replied to that. It continues to do so every time I try to send him a text from my Lumia using the built in SMS. Further, when I asked him to send me a text to my actual carrier number, I do receive it on my Lumia, but when I reply to him it's sent through my Google number again. This doesn't happen with any of my other contacts.
I don't have any app that can make such a connection between my SMS and my Google voice account. This is so bizarre I can't even begin to figure out the cause of this.
Any ideas?
Hi everyone!
With stock message app when i insert a contact in any format like international or local it says invalid number but i can receive message from any number and can reply from that conversation the problem is just with writing new messages so if anyone knows the solution kindly tepee me thanks.
Which model are you using? I've seen instances in the past where adding the 1 in front can mess it up.
Hi guys,
I have a verizon note 5 which i'm using in india on vodafone, everything works fine only issue is cant send sms or text messages. if the number is stored as +91XXXX (where 91 being india country code) it does not work and gives me error addr vcnt.
If the number is stored as 0XXXX it does work and messages go without any issue. This works fine on samsung message app and verizon messages.
Can anyone let me know what to do to make it work with +91 numbers.
anyone any idea how to resolve it

i have a verizon note 5 im using it on UK, it had same issue but when i changed my network operator now it works fine.maybe change message centre number
Ok so my p40 pro arrived today and i put my sim card in (using straight talk byop at&t sim). i can make calls and use data , i can also send text messages. but the phone will not receive any text messages.
so far i've did the following
factory reset the phone
reset network settings
tried manually entering APN settings
i even tried using Textra
None have worked, whats weird is i got rid of my Mate 30 pro last week and texting worked fine on that phone. Anyone have any suggestions that may help fix the issue?
Ok so i figured out the issue ,and thought id post it here in case anyone has the issue and gets frustrated not being able to receive messages .
so apparently now you have to treat google messages like apples iMessage. you have to "diasble" chat features on google messages before switching sim into a phone that doesn't support google messages natively. i wasn't aware of this needing to be done especially since i had a mate 30 pro 2 weeks ago that i stuck my sim in and it worked perfectly with texting.
so just a heads up if anyone has this same issue like i did.
I imagine the network message settings are wrong, here in the UK they have outgoing and incoming settings, I would compare the message service number from your old handset
