Hi
My phone was rooted and on latest nougat firmware but my system folder was not able being mounted as rw. I tried flashing magisk and ended up with bootloop so I decided to start fresh and reflash stock ftf rom using flashtool.
I did a total wipe before flashing, then when i tried to flash the ftf I got errors in flashtool.
The lines were:
-parsing boot delivery
-null
-error flashing. Aborted
I've attached a debug log.
My phone is now bricked but I still have TWRP access.
Please help.

Hi,
I'm using lollipop previously and tried to root my device. I tried to follow the instructions on how to root it by unlocking Boot Loader. I accidentally deleted all the system files in recovery mode. Unfortunately, I don't have any back ups. Now my device is just restarting and stuck in Sony logo. I can still boot to recovery mode. I tried to flash the latest ftf but flashing always fail. Is there any way where I can install the OS since in recovery it says that OS is not installed. I'm using TWRP recovery. Many thanks for those who will help. I will really appreciate it.

just flash via flashtool
FTF can only be flashed via Flashtools as far as I'm aware it also restores the original stock recovery so you lose your recovery too
Just install Flashmode, Fastboot, and phone drivers (Phone driver can be installed using Sony PC Companion or going to device manager and manually doing it)
Then put your phone into flashmode and then open flashtools select flashmode and then put the ftf file in your directory where it can detect the file usually in documents .flashtool / firmware and then select the file to flash and wait
Don't untick/tick any wipe or not wipe box and just keep pressing yes unless you have a reason to press no
Was on MM, Wolfbreak's RXSW MM ROM V3, tried to access TWRP , phone vibrated weirdly, after a few tries I realized that I couldn't access recovery :crying:
Went for Z3 dual recovery from here: http://nut.xperia-files.com/
Followed instructions, all was well, then disaster hit, I tripped on the USB cable close to the end of the process and ended with a hard bootloop.
Tried using Flashtool, couldn't get it to work, phone was unresponsive.
Used the Sony's Xperia Companion to fix the phone because the original bootloop was not letting me do anything with Flashboot. Got updated to MM .575, phone booted fine (took a long time to finish )
Used the Flashtool with KK FTF files to downgrade and root again, got bootloop. There was no error during the flashing using Flashtool.
Tried again, but no dice. Downloaded a different FTF file, no dice. It was only after the 3rd try that I selected to wipe the App_Logs and UserData that I was able to get the device to work and now back to my nandroid backup (I guess I should have read more).
I am posting this here since I could not find clear info during my search on what options were needed to fix my bootloop.
So in case you want to root/install recovery without unlocking bootloader or trying to fix a hard bootloop, I recommend the info I found:
Root / Recovery LL / MM / KK:
1- Go here: http://goo.gl/0CdWwL
Bootloop:
0- Read the forums, there may be some solution available without losing your data.
1- If you are lazy or can't find the answer you need, then flash an FTF KK/LP/MM file using Flashtool
2- If that doesn't work or you don't know what to do, use Sony's Xperia Companion in your PC and follow the instructions. It takes a while, but your phone has a good chance of getting fixed.
Good luck in your ROM flashings :fingers-crossed:
So, I think I really screwed up. After I finally got my bootloader unlocked, (after some trouble) I tried using Kingroot with no luck. And me being the eager beaver that I am, I attempted installing TWRP in Flashtool with the "Select system to Flash" option. Now I'm stuck with a big fat "SONY" on a white background.
Whenever I tried installing TWRP with "fastboot flash recovery TWRP-3.0.2-4-kagura" I'm stuck with < waiting for device >. That's why I tried flashing through Flashtool.
I'm on F8331.
Any help would be much appreciated.
EDIT: I got TWRP working, and I'm able to boot into it. Now I'm guessing all I have to do is install SuperSU, and maybe flash a custom ROM?
Hi, are you tried with Flashtool with an Marshmallow firmware?, when I bricked my phone (F8332) the only solution was this.

First of all reflash you firmware using flashtool, reflash the twrp recovery that corresponds to your firmware then flash the supported androplus kernel for your firmware. After all the steps above access the recovery and try to flashing the latest supersu available. Your very welcome.
I ended up just flashing XplayZtation.
Hi guys i was trying to install a custom rom on my mate 9 (MHA-L29C432-156)so i followed the instructions ; unlocked the bootloader; then installed twrp 3.1.0-0; on twrp formated data; then full wiped and try to install AurRom from SD; but get a message that zip file is corrupted; so I tried with S.H.I.E.L.D ROM and it flashed , but then when boot goes to eRecovery, and give me 3 options download latest version and recovery; reboot and shutdown. So now I cant boot the phone, when I restarted, followed same steps , format data, full wipe and trying to installing again but getting a message about all zip files of the roms are corrupted; then i try to restore backup; and same again get the huawei logo, then the android logo , phone restarts and eRecovery again.
Please someone HELP, I use this phone for my work...........!!!!!!!!!
How did you full wipe?
Also try with Twrp 3.0.2-2

Something went wrong here. You can run 'adb logcat' to see the crash details while starting.
If you have a backup on twrp then restore to get phone working. You may need to flash the public and hw-data zips afterwards though.
If you don't have a backup then you could try flashing the C636 off line firmware and then use firmware finder to go back to your original firmware
Sent from my MHA-L09 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
you may just flash the modified recovery ( See Guide subforum ) ) to bypass the update certification and authorization and reflash an original firmware. your stored files will be lost anyway in most cases.
I would bet superuser ( shield ) and SuperSU ( Aurom) messed your boot image. Both are incompatible to each other and, afaik both are incompatible to twrp 3.1.
Flash TWRP 3.0.2.2, reboot to recovery again to change version, flash the rom ( f.e. shield rom), boot once up, reboot to recovery and THEN you may flash twrp 3.1
Thanks all of you guys, I've solved the problem, it seems that's something related to the sd card, I've formated the sd and transfer the files trough another phone and then put the sd on the mate 9, I follow the steps as followed before and works successfully, now I'm on AurRom and 182 firmware.
Hey,
I have used Sony Developer's documentations in order to unlock my bootloader, then upgraded it with Emma.
Also, I have installed TWRP using fastboot and also tried to install LineageOS.
But, every time I try to turn on the device, it is stuck on Sony's logo and gets warmer with time.
TWRP, fastboot mode and flash mode are accessible.
What can I do?
Thanks!

How did you tried to install LineageOS? If you want to go back to stock rom use Emma to flash stock.291
Remember that after flashing TWRP you need to enter recovery by pressing power+volume up and then wipe system/data/cache partitions before flashing LineageOS zip

I have just flashed the stock rom with Emma.
What do you now? What to install in what order?
what I did previously was to use fastboot to flash TWRP and then flash lineageOS through the device itself (using TWRP). But it says the file is corrupted, although i tried 2 different zip files (both for the z3 of course) but both are corrupted.
thanks!

Nice! Now you can follow Instructions from the How to install section in https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/orig-development/7-1-cyanogenmod-t3508140 you can skip point 1 and start from 2.
Be sure that your bootloader is still in unlocked status before, otherwise you can unlock it again with flashtool. Otherwise rom won't boot. That's all, good luck

It is probably the zip file itself which is (like TWRP states) corrupted.
Try to redownload the zip from the LOS thread and flash it, guess something went wrong with your first download and/or transfer of the zip to your SD.
