Hi, I have this idea and can't seem to find how (if possible) to do it:
I got the stock firmware for my device and I'd like to mod the AP tar.md5 file so that I can either remove the stock recovery.img from it, or switch it with the TWRP img file? If I simply extract the files and repack them in a new tar file would it be flasheable in odin?

Hello every one today I am posting a script which you
Can create tar to md5 odin flash.
You can easly make TAR from your iMG by using 7ZIP.
When you make TAR then you can make it to MD5 ODIN FLASH
By my script
Download tar-tool-odin .zip by ihsas and extrat it on your pc.
Copy your tar file into the tar tool folder and double click on

This script is for just make tar to md5 you can easly make img to tar by using 7zip.
I have another script which make img to tar.md5 but with that script you can only make 1 img file not sevral file like stock rom
Stock rom have many img file when you make several img file to tar by using 7zip then you can easly make that tar to md5.tar and then flash by odin
Such as I have update my galaxy s3 to kitkat 4.4.4 and then I have download jb 4.3 when I flash it then I have found error with sboot then I make this tool to delete the sboot and flash again and its work for me.
Thank you
Any Custom ROM to install by ODIN (.TAR file) for J700M ?
or any Boot Logo in .TAR file in order to install it by ODIN for J700M ?
or How to change .ZIP install file to .TAR install file ?
Thanks in advanced.
Why do you want a ROM with this format? Do you have TWRP installed on your J7? The only ROM, which I have in TAR format is the Stock ROM, are you interested?
Thanks GrayNinja33, I need this because my Phone doen't work, when I turn it on, stay in black screen, only Download Mode Works.
If you have any idea to transform a .zip file to .tar file I will apretiate that.
I have the stock boot image file of SM-G955FD Oreo (8.0.0) Indian firmware
in .tar.md5 format I need it to be converted to .img as .tar.md5 format is not supported by MagiskManager for patching.
Here is the stock boot image of SM-G955FD Oreo (8.0.0) Indian firmware :

Please any body provide me this boot image file in .img format or tell me an easy way to do so.
Thanks a lot in anticipation!
You don't convert .tar.md5 files into .img. .tar.md5 is just a regular tar archive (ustar format) with md5 checksum appended to it. You can unpack it as any other tar archive, it contains the device images you are probably asking for.
Oreo images are lz4-compressed, so you also need to decompress them, after that you will be left with usable .img files for different partitions.
Edit: Here's G955FXXU1CRB7 boot.img
Can you give me link to Galaxy S3 SGH T999N boot.img please
