hi guys , i bought a le pro 3 US version , 64 gb , gold color , single sim , nano... used but in brand new condition for 288 dollars ( amazon fulfilled through a friend in dallas coming to India)
The phone is amazing except that the sim tray is slightly bent and does not fully go inside the slot ...and slightly bulges on one side.
The wifi works flawlessly , however the sim is not detected and m unable to use my Vodafone 4g Lte sim in bangalore , India.
Ive tried every where , amazon , e bay , alie express ....not getting the sim tray
Ive 2 options ...
1) to use it as tablet ...wifi only since my Vodafone sim cannot be used....
2) to use JIO FI ( DONGLE with JIO sim) for voice calling and messaging using data over VOLTE technology....
3) since this phone is not released in india , the service center guys are clueless.....
i feel miserable ...
Pls help ...thanks
Have you tried bending it back? Pliers maybe?

In Australia, the Hutchison 3 Network is a 3G network and as such uses Telstra's 2G to support it when there is no 3G coverage.
That being said, Hutchison 3 use a type of hybrid Sim card that doesnt work with any of these dual sim devices.
Another example of this odd sim card choice is that it renders all Mercedes Benz owners who have Bluetooth Car kits useless. (I spent literally days testing) and this is because even though the Bluetooth will pair up, the MB car kits try to use a 2G antenna connection to get onto the network. Even though it ends up using the phones internal antenna.
Is '3' in Europe strictly a 3G network? Because im at a total loss as to why the MB would do this.
It may seem off topic but its related enough to be shared here. (although it probably could have its own thread)
I can't say anyhing about he hybrid sim you are talking, but simore dual sim works with 3g sim.
3 in Italy is only 3g, I do not know in the rest of europe
It's quite weird your experience with the MB CK, I tryed several time with no issues...

Hi,
Could you try something for me.
Set your handset to 3G only, then see if you can connect to the MB CK.
If you can, then i will have to put it down to the Hybrid SIM.
Thanks

Hello
For me it is working fine, but before I had the problem until I remove the pin code pin on my sim card.
Means install the sim card to a normal phone and remove the pin code for the sim car. Plug it again into simore hardware and try again.
Hope that it well solve your problem
For phone call and sms it wrking fine, I still have issue to switch internet from one sim card to on other one. The last point is that you have to root your phone to use internet (but internet not working well)
No need to root if you want to use only phone call and sms

Does anyone know of a dual SIM that fits in and works with Touch Diamond???
Why not use an N-in-1 card that allows you to clone a SIM? I find dual SIM's to decrease battery life on WinMo devices. A Ghost SIM should fit perfectly fine however.
Hi there,
I tried the dual sim adaptors from hot-wire-telekom.
I tried both
the digital:
hot-wire explains that this can cause problems - and it doesnot work
the analog:
should work - but it doesnot
I tried both with a Siemens S55 and it worked (digital version needs a lot of power - only about on third standby left).
I will have to contact the guys from hot-wire to ask what to do with the diamond.
To be continued...

Hmmm interesting... http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/dualsim/magicsim.htm like this?
Does STK stuff work with winMO 6.1 etc etc.
You sound like you know your stuff so as much info as poss would be super helpful...
many thanks
How about this one from Brando? I'm going to order one soon. It's not cheap($27+3 shipped) though.
It says can directly switch the sim from sim menu.
The STK should work fine in Windows Mobile. DX has them the cheapest and offers free wordwide shipping. I've purchased many things from them and am very happy with their service.

I tried the Magic one and it didn't work. It looks to me that those adaptors work with Nokia type phones only.

Bummer - there must be one that actually works like the 6-in-1 magic SIM
Apparently they can cause problems with 3G/HSDPA? Anyone noticed that?
I almost got one, but having to switch over from one SIM to another and then back to the other just to see if I've missed calls/SMS's etc seems like something that I'd grow tired of very quickly.
If the Diamond had two radios, and could use two SIM's simultaneously, then that would be nice...

Yes I agree - I have put the calls on divert from my Orange number to my 3 sim works a treat problem solved for now - I am seeing a growing trend in Dual Radio phones though. Two HSDPA connections at once... LOL maybe in future we will se channel bonding
Now that would be interesting... It cant be too far off. To be honest, for so many years people have carried two cell phones, (some people more than two!) that I find it kind of strange no-one has tapped that market yet... These SIM adapters are the best attempt at solving the issue, but they just create more issues... I ended up porting my personal number to my work account so I could be done with the whole thing and just have one phone and one number I would have preferred a dual radio phone though!
I have an analog one, which works perfectly. i believe it's the magic sim 1st gen adapter... no problems with hsdpa or anything else
I have one in my Diamond just now, which I previously bought for my iPhone.
I don't know what Generation it is, but its a ghost SIM which you cut your 2 SIM cards and fit into one. I simply turn the celular radio off and on to switch network - either that or reboot the device.
N to 1 sims ?
The problem with all the N to 1 sims (including magicsim) is that you can only clone V1 sim cards (sim cards delivered before 2002 with some countries/operators variations).
Modern sim cards are almost always V2 or V3 versions and for the moment there aren't clonable (august 2008) !!! Trying to clone a V2 or V3 sim card for using a N to 1 sims will in most cases block your sim card defnitively So today the interest of such multisims cards are limited ....
(for myself i had the chance to keep old V1 sim cards and using diamond now with silvercard with sim emu containing two sim clones ....)
I got an answer from hot-wire-telekom for the digital and analog 2-in-1 sim adaptor.
The digital one will not work with PDAs at all.
The analog one should work but there can be problems and the adaptor will not fit perfect. So I should try tape and pieces of paper to make the sim fit in the slot.
I tried it for about one hour and it only worked with one card but did not display the second.
Will take another hour tonight...
Try SIMORE dual sim

I use Simore too and works fine, including 3G.
simore's GOLD1 adapter costs 69,90 euro
Did anyone understand the differences between the three versions (Gold/Black/Silver) ?
has anyone used or is using a Dual Sim holder in a HTC Desire, or know of one that works/fits nicely?
I currently tuck an alternative sim between the battery and the back cover but have to take the battery out etc to exchange, would like a simpler solution.
lol same as me mate..i also keep spare 8gb card behind my case too been looking into this apparently it has to be 3g compatble ones- gonna take a punt and try one from ebay-will post a link and let you know results.
apparently some folks are using on nexus 1 so shouldnt be too difficult- also hypercard are selling some at £70(well euros) but not far off. fcuk that gonna look for cheaper alt.
Any news on this dread123 as its something i was thinking about too.
Ive never had any sucess with a dual sim, i just use a super sim in my desire so i can use three sims and dont mess around with any extra bits. Just 1 sim card thats it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=714903
check there..got the dual sim working perfect now
hpsda and full 3g speeds..no call dropping ...no problems at all.able to switch from sim toolkit app on phone.
I am using Hypercard V3 which works on 3G too. It only reboots after switching too my vodafone card. Switching from vodafone to O2 no Problem works without reboot. You get a SIM Toolkit Icon on the Home Screen for switching.
Thanks for the replies guys, time to do a bit of reading up

Hi.
Is there any dual-sim adapter available to use with sensation ?
I have one sim with 3G ( free ) and the other is for normal gsm service and i would like to use both in my htc sensation. i know gmate but if i could use any adapter inside the phone , even if i have to change the carrier to use 3g its not a big problem.
just found this one :http://www.the-internet-shop.co.uk/htc-sensation-xl/78742-htc-sensation-xl-twin-dual-sim-card-adapter.html
would it work ?
Hmm what about battery life?
Sent from my HTCSensation using xda app-developers app

it works .... kind of, i got one adapter from magic sim, had to cut the 2 sims so they could fit and after some strugle to get it to get recognized by the phone i got the following :
with my normal sim with no data service it worked OK, if i tried to change to my data card i got no service, so i had to fully reboot the phone and after the boot i get data service.
With the data service ON if i tried to change to my normal sim card with NO data service with changed OK and it worked, but if i needed to get again data i needed to change to sim with data service and again reebot.
So i send it back ! realy bad mistake to send it back and ask for a refund ! they say to me that they did not get the card back , and i am now with a complete loss ! no card and no money even for the return of the card that was sent at my expense ! in my postal service provider i have information that the card left portugal , but after that it vanished !
I would NOT recomend anyone to get such card !
ok thanks, so I´ll save some money for a china-dual-sim smartphone, thanks =)

That is a good idea, a phone that isn't meant to have dual sim, would be heavy.
Hello everyone.
So i thought i'd be really smart and pick up a new Xperia Z3 from a foreign website (based in Dubai) as it had the Dual SIM model on offer... Only trouble is this phone seems very 'fussy' with which SIM cards i put in it back in the United Kingdom.
EE - SIMs are rejected outright with a nasty message that doesn't go away til i take it out
3 - SIM is simply not acknowledged at all
O2 - works
Vodafone - Works but gives me no LTE (only 3G and HSDPA)
I would really like to use the phone with either EE or 3 since they offer the best reception / network speed / costs in my area. Any suggestions for me? Should i use a different ROM?
Many thanks!!
Charlie
PS Amazing Battery life on this thing by the way - very happy with it otherwise. Just kinda miss having 4G / fast LTE

Hello Charlie,
Did you get this sorted? I read somewhere that a software update fixed the EE card rejection issue?
I'm looking at getting this phone myself as I use EE but no signal in my work building so I miss calls. However I know O2 works so I was going to get a PAYG O2 SIM and have EE forward to O2 when at work so I can receive calls.
Cheers - Mark
