I know that p2c72 / p2a42, one is Chinese version the other is international. But are they physically the same? I wanted to buy some casing for p2a42. Some online retailers are selling those made for p2c72. There are also some who are selling P1 casing too can they fit as well? Just to confirm as I don't wish to make a mistake.
Only the modem and the firmware are different.
and the ROM size. You can't get a 64GB p2a42.

Hi,
I'm from a Z2 user interested in Z3.
From what I understood, the china variant, L50T/U on the Z2 has a different phone dimension as compared to the international edition, L50W.
I want to buy a case for Z3 but all I mostly I found are for L55T/U. Just worried that I might get the wrong accessory for my Z3 due to dimensions.
Hope someone can clarify. Thank you.

I bought a Casemate case for my z3, it's a two in one case, exterior is made of hard plastic rubber stuff. Feels good to touch and interior is a silicon lining. For about 100zł ($25) i cant complain. It look decent and feels good to the hand.
Thanks guys. Anyway I know what's the difference already. The ports are slightly different so take note if buying cases from china (charging one). The china variant has their SD card with their charging port.
Hello everybody...
Anyone knows if is possible convert a normal N910c in a dual Sim version of Galaxy Note 4 N9100? I just thinking, if is possible of course, change the the normal flex part that hold one Sim card for a new one with a double Sim card holder and change the middle housing too, for the same as N9100 uses to fit the new parts. On eBay I find this two parts, anyone have some idea if this is gonna work? Is necessary some firmware implements? The Note 4 is a awesome smartphone and I noob here just thinking if this go work with it.
Thanks people. You're the best.
The parts on sale in eBay. I can't post the links to this part here, noob haha, but if you wanna know who are this part, search on eBay for "OEM Double SIM Card SD Card Holder Flex Repair For Samsung Galaxy Note 4/N9108W" and "For Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N9100 N910F N910X Battery back Full Housing Cover Door".
That's all.
Mmm not really... at least not with these parts. There's a chance to convert it but I'm sure that you would need to buy the main dual-sim pcb and the back housing itself. The double sim flex will not work in the N910C mainboard. Cheers!
Do you think I need a new mainboard to this work? I was thinking that Samsung use a universal mainboard and add new components to her to build the different models...
Well first of all both N9108W/N91000 are snapdragon variants while our N910C is an exynos one. If you're able to snap the dual sim board in the PCB, you will still need to use a dual sim-enabled firmware, and the only available dual-sim firmwares are for snapdragon processors so it will not work in your device. That's why you should buy a N91000 Snapdragon pcb and swap your Exynos one. Cheers!
Ok, I understand it, not worth the effort, is more easy change between models and I don't need to do this... But it was curious if this would work. Thanks!!!
There is actually a dual sim adapter for that. It's available for most phones, I used it for my Note 2 but the flex cable was too thick so it kinda bulged when I forced the adapter under the battery cover.

I know those adapters, but you need switch with them to receive the signal of one or another operator, right? Or both sim works the same time?

I THINK they work together. I can't confirm it as those adapters works on stock roms and I was using custom, so there was some issues trying to detect the sims.

simply not possible
Nope, unless you are a software developer and can alter the stock firmware for your N910C to support the use of dual SIMs.
Hey guys,
i will come back to the Topic from the opner.
i have the Galaxy Note 4 SM-910F with a Snapdragon 805 CPU, in this case i think that can be work.
But i thik the firmware / baseband must be changed to the firmware from the N9100 / N9108W.
Perhaps also the kernel?
Is it possible replace mainboard G930W8 to G930F? I have bricked G930W8 and living in Europe
G930W8 and G930F are the same motherboard layout (it's written right on the board "G930F/W8") so it will definitely fit. The daughterboards are model-specific, which I believe is due to the antenna configuration. I would stand to be corrected on that. I'm not sure that it's going to cause you any problems if you didn't have any signal/channel issues with the W8 before it became bricked.
There are sellers online selling the G930W8 and G930F motherboards as directly interchangeable, for what that's worth.
So the problem can only be with the antenna? Thanks for reply
Hello to forum,
I just broke my screen from my Note 20 Ultra 5G (Snapdragon) Chinese model SM-N9860
The thing is that i am in Europe and we only have international model (Exynos).
My question is this, can i put exynos display to snapdragon? And if so, am i going to have signal? Cause i've heard that the antenna paths are different.
Thank you
I know the C port PCB is likely incapable.
Check by part numbers.
I spoke with Samsung Support while ago. And I thought to replace something, camera glass and front glass and they said there isn't issue to fix US variant in UK. So I think there isn't problem to use front glass from exynos model.
If the part numbers are the same you'll be ok.
Otherwise probably not.
Have u any idea if this part is ok?
Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G SM-N986 - White (GH82-23596C) (50027164) for my SM-N9860 ?
You need to compare the P/Ns between the two variants.
Someone here may have tried it and can say for sure if it's the same variants.
A repair shop experienced in these can probably tell you too.
Otherwise don't bet on it.
Little suggestion.
If you still are within warranty period then don't repair it your self or anyone that is non certified samsung technician.
Doing so will make rest of your warranty invalid, so send it back to store where you bought it or send it to samsung and let them repair it.
In my case, Samsung mexico repair my 986U1, same case, in the country sales exynos but the part is the same, they change the internal parts because the screen not sale separately, only inconvenient is they not replace the batery like with the national devices service included
I recently broke the screen on my beloved Oneplust 7 pro. I'm looking at purchasing a used one, as I absolutely love the device. The only other serious contender would be a pixel 5a, the only benefit being the software and... camera? Maybe? I could spend $300 and make sure the model matches mine (GM1917), or it appears I could save $100 and purchase a GM1915.
Is it possible to swap the motherboard to save my data? And would I even need to swap the daughterboard? I read a post from a while back stating that GSM motherboards a while back differed in size from their CDMA counterparts. Is this still true or is it more device specific? My uneducated assumption is that there should be no difference in size between the GM1917 model and GM1915 model. I'm unsure if there is a size difference in regards to storage size, but I doubt it. I'm just looking to see if anyone has any information on this.
