Ufs 2.1 users do not upgrade software - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Samsung's latest update has slowed my UFS 2.1 device to UFS 2.0 speeds I suggest you don't install the latest 600mb update.
Hopefully someone can clarify this aswell in case it was a faulty install on my device.

Hello,
Is this the same update as on Sammobile ?
https://www.sammobile.com/2017/05/2...te-to-patch-the-galaxy-s8s-connectivity-bugs/

This is NOT true.
I have just tested on the latest update AQEB and UFS 2.1 speeds are maintained.

Dude stop making a bunch of threads with same crap.

Wait, cause I read another thread saying it was true. Then I read one saying it wasn't. Then it was. All these threads must mean this is a serious issue and we should sue.

I can only go on the information that I am experiencing, I have done a factory reset and my speeds seem to have gone back to normal 800ish mb/s maybe it's a buggy install when it was upgraded hopefully other people can clarify.

@vimto25
Please try to keep your discussion in one thread only. Avoid open multiple threads with same question.

[Q] Disable OTA

Hey guys,
My Transformer is set to arrive shortly, and I've noticed that even the Asus reps have recommended not installing the OTA update. However, I have also read that you can only turn the update down three times before the system forces it. So what's the best solution for those of us who haven't taken the device out of the box yet?
(Also, I understand methods have been discussed in other threads, but I couldn't find them via search. I also didn't want to "hijack" the Bricked Transformer thread. Perhaps this could be a central thread for advice for folks just getting their Transformers now.)

I was wondering the same thing about the updates and potential for bricking. My transformer is arriving today. Where did you read that the AUS reps said not to install the updates?

A guy called "Rich" (here) and a developer called "Eric Liu" (here). Both purport to be from Asus and I see no reason to believe they're lying.
I'm hearing reports that the update might have been pulled. Can anyone with an older stock device confirm that?
Thanks!

If no one else beats me to it, I'd be glad to share my experience out of the box tonight. However, even if they pulled the latest update, I imagine there's a chance it might want to update to the previous (safe) one. So two questions: #1 - Can I tell what version of OTA the device wants to install prior to installing it? #2 - If it wants to install the latest OTA, how can I prevent it from doing so? (Without installing a non-stock ROM.)

No update yet

Is it just me that has not gotten the update for my phone via Kies or anything yet?
Think my phone is from germany or something

What have you done buddy. We are already intimating to every newbie for not to create duplicate thread, which are already made or discussed before. So, If you need that just move your question to already discussed threads.
However, No body (Excluding Nordic countries) are getting update Via Kies.

Cool.
You might consider having it moved to the 8+ forums though?

Only Original Firmware?Or what does this Rom have
What for it, also what it in general the such?
This is factory firmware for testing the phones hardware. Also this is when you want to flash another ROM or CSC withowt losing the warranty or when you have DRK problems and the phone doesn't boot up.

I'm so confused what can I do with my LG G4 h81022c?

I have rooted two Android phones previously and rooted this model once before. I have spent over an hour searching the forums for any clear answers and all I can find is jargon and nicknames that take me 10 minutes to unpack for each forum post only to discover that it might or might not apply to my particular phone.
Enough complaining.
What can I do with my phone with my LG G4 h81022c?
Can I put a different Marshmallow rom on it?
Can I get to Nougat?
Can I root it?
I have been having issues with the Google Play service apps like Store, Music, and Photos and need to at the very least restore to factory settings.
I think there should be a sticky thread saying "If you go past update xxxxxx you are screwed"

Nougat is not out yet. And only choice is factory reset. I don't think we have newer firmware to flash. And you most likely cannot flash an older one due to antirollback.

WOW! That's amazing that they have neutered this phone so much I'm several security updates behind and I have no faith that LG and AT&T will upgrade my phone.
Thank you for answering my questions.

There's already a thread about an update coming hopefully by the end of the year.
But I think the G4 was a dud right when the bootlooping started.

A little question about sideloading the BETA on S10+(Exynos)

Hello forum users and admins, I have a little question.
I've read on Google that I need the ASII build, but right now i have the latest one, the ASJG.
Do I really need to downgrade my firmware, or I can install it on ASJG.
If it is important, I have checked if my phone is compatible with the beta, I have the G975F and at the CSC I have the letters OXM, but not the ASII. Also, if it' important, I am from Romania, and bought the phone from here.
Thanks.<3

There are plenty of people here, but no one has an answer for you.
You can try it without downgrading but you'd be better off to just do what the thread says since those instructions are known to work.
