Hello everybody,
Can you help me to fix porting problems in cm12.1 for spreadtrum sc7731:
Port: Samsung galaxy grand prime
Base: Lenovo A1000
Bugs found:
1-wifi Hotspot doesnot work
2-Video recording doesnot work
3-headphone icon doesnot appear
4-h+ icon doesnot appear
5-Cannot switch 3G between 2 sims
6-Offline charging doesnot work anymore,it goes to recovery.
7-proximity sensor doesn't work
8-Calender doesn't work
Please help me
Are sources available for that device? If yes, I can happily build it rather than dealing with this porting crap. But before I do any that, please supply me with a logcat.

First of all, your logcat. There is an app on the play store that I recommend called "cat log". If you don't have access to the playstore you can sideload it using adb. As for the sources, are there any roms available for your rom? You can try to google "<your device> source".

I used terminal emulator to create a logcat in attachment.
What Roms do you want? Official or custom?

I installed "Logcat Extreme" app,and I took screenshot for the logcat.

Oh and btw, can you try to reinstall the apps that aren't working? http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/cyanogenmod/ there are all the apps that cyanogenmod uses, download the desired ones and install them. If they do work, push that apk into the zip instead of the other apps, good luck!

It worked with trebuchet launcher only.It was trebuchet V1.0 and I replaced it with trebuchet V6.
But How to push that apk into the zip instead of the other apps??

I found other bugs:
1-headphone icon doesnot appear

Are these formatted for the One S? I've tried using them from a system dump and it had a parsing error....If you said these work, then shoot thanks bro!!!

Did you push them or just try to install as a normal apk. Sounds like you tried to install normally but, I would think that since they are system apps they would need to be pushed via adb or copy and pasted w/ es file explorer or root explorer and set permissions. Of course there is also the possibility that they only work on jelly bean, but i can't say that for sure.

Definitely tried to push them to system. Even the keyboard doesn't pop up. I think it's a signature thing why there's a parsing error. I could be wrong though. We'll see what happens when AOSP is released...

Think you need the sdk. It should have the tools to sign apks

You can use apktool. For a more user friendly way try Apk manager. If you use apk manager throw the app in the "place here for signing" folder, fire up apk manager and choose option 16. I'm more than happy try it for you if you want, but i think it's always fun to learn.

Velvet.apk is the Google Now and Google Voice Search combined, doesn't work as it requires API Level 16, which only Jellybean has. So it won't work until a Jellybean ROM is ported or the apk is made backward compatible, which I will be forever grateful somebody does!
Do you guys see API16 available yet in the SDK?

Problem is solved. If anybody have the same proplem: you must install the Google Search and Playstore Service then you can open the Launcher.

Thank you very much for the links. I have tried all the apps and all of them installed fine. Only the camera app crashes sometimes...while recording video or when trying to open photosphere. May be it will be fixed in later. But anyway thank you very much for the links.

I think for photosphere to work you need some lib files which you should get if you search here on Xda.

I'm on CM10.2, and kk's camera keeps missing focus. Anyone else ?

DAT file is just in system...copy there where your build prop is.
apks - system/app or simply install
libs into system/lib folder.
change to rw/r/r

The only app of the set that gives fc on Note 10.1. On the other hand, on my sgs4 running tw 4.4.2 samy latest firmware ( I mean carotix CarHdrom v 19 or 19.1) everithing, including hword, seems to work flawlesly. The fact that Note 10.1 runs an older op suytem, pehaps has to do with failiure.

Note 8 is omnirom 4.4.2, HTC one is rooted stock 4.4.2

This pal managed to get Hword working on N8000 stock 4.1.2, but he has been pretty silent since then. I wonder if...

Well, my sgs4 5 inch screen ( tw and 4.4.2 android op sys), runs smootly hword. I did same prcedure on both devices, bt note 10.1 is a f..g idiot
and refuses to display hword. Seem that soem peolpe got it runnning on 10.1 , 4.1.2 tw . Show us ..please.

Sorry if not for others - but for me works on S4 and Note8...i do not use Word and PowerPoint that much - but Hcell works very nice - best one currently on Android.

Hi, I've tried installing the standalone APKs and the files from the Titanium Backup and all give a Forced Close on HWord. I also have the Note 10.1 (2012). Is anyone able to fix this?

This is working great, but really needs a progressbar. I have a proposition: make the app remember
my search requests, add a tab or a link for downloaded apks. Waiting for version 2

Which apk did you download? I checked QuickPic, ES File explorer and Liquid Player. Every apk was up to date
Any updates?
Please make a backup of the apk and /system/fonts/NotoColorEmoji.ttf before following the instructions.
Note: Not all of the emojis present in iOS 9.1 are currently supported.
Instructions:
1. Download the ttf file and install manually or download the flashable zip (Be sure to rename AppleEmoji9.1-caiosilva96.tff to NotoColorEmoji.tff)
2. Install the modded Google Keyboard.
3. Enjoy!

Q: Why are some emojis black & white?
A: Here's the solution and if you're on Lollipop you can download this flashable zip.
Q: My Google Keyboard is a system app and I can't install the mod.
A: Uninstall the app (with an app such as Titanium Backup) and install the mod
Q: Gesture typing and/or autocorrect is broken after installing the mod.
A: I'm still working on a fix for this, but for now switching the keyboard language to English (UK) will fix the problem.
Q: Whenever I delete some emojis, a different one appears, so I have to press backspace twice to delete.
A: This is because the emoji requires two unicode values. Sometimes when backspace is pressed, one of the unicode value is deleted, not both. I'm not sure why this happens, hopefully someone will come along and help solve the mystery...

I did everything OP said.
BUT before flashing this, delete any mod you installed for emojis, and restore your original ones, reboot, then proceed to flashing.
Now do a backup for your Google keyboard (just in case) and install the one provided by OP.

BUT before flashing this, delete any mod you installed for emojis, and restore your original ones, reboot, then proceed to flashing.
Now do a backup for your Google keyboard (just in case) and install the one provided by OP.

My phone have no SD card. Im using oppo r5.
Im flashing that file using Flashify but even after reboot, it is still the old stock emoji (old ios) so can you please tell me how to flash?
if using recovery mode, it will always fail ?

How can i install the keyboard apk, it says can not install ? i already stopped it in settings etc but still the same message.....

You must install busybox to use emoji switcher :good:

I do have busybox, though I never knew the purpose of it. I just install it and don't bother it. But I can't seem to have the iOS 9.1 (but other emoji can, for example Samsung, Google)
I had the same thing but that was because busybox was not installed correctly .... Did you went in the app busybox and then install ?

Maybe you did flash it right, try swiping between all the pages of your emojis.
I flashed using recovery I'm on 5.1.1

Yes, I go to that app and click install . thank you for taking your time for me BTW.
BTW it'll make my emojis disappear completely ? except I can look at the emoji on emojipedia (that contain s iOS 9.1 new emoji)

Edit: Found a possible fix, you probably don't have enough space in your /system/ partition.
Best is to convert some Google system apps to user apps with titanium backup to free up some space

Weird, I never had that problem..
Try to uninstall the original first, but do a backup.
How to uninstall it ..... I already force stopped it but that didn't work either ?
