Hello.
I am using a ZTE KIS PRO - aka Optimus Zali, (android 4.1.1 / kernel 3.4.0) and thinking about a way to root this device. My experience is from PC's and Laptop's using linux distro like Gentoo and others. Using the same logic, I could install any O.S. without root access, only by booting another OS. Does Android devices use the same method or similar, or is impossible to flash a ARM distro like Ubuntu in my device?

Long story:
Most of those linked by nikwen are deprecated and abandoned.
Currently Ubuntu for Devices supports Nexus 4, Nexus 7 2013 WiFi only and Nexus 10. Anything else is subpar on a testing level platform that most won't use as a daily driver. You could build an image yourself if there is a CyanogenMod 10.x for your device and you understand how to build an OS Image. By using github to pull from Ubuntu feeds, CyanogenMod feeds, libhybris, etc.; and you have a dedicated build environment that you can turn over to cranking out some nightlies for yourself...
Short story: No.

Hi all !
I read that google will make a lite version of OREO : Android O Go Edition
Made for hardware with 512 Mo to 1 Go of memory
Have you got any information for this version and for you, is it possible to install it on galaxy tab 2 ?
Thanks
Nico
Sorry for my bad english
Unless you or an interested developer ports it to our tab, no you can not install Android Go on our tab.
They are making mid range phone with Android O Go. Like Android One

What makes you think so? Android 6 runs well on my opinion, should do the same for android oreo Go.
android oreo Go is made for hardware with 512 Mo or 1Go of memory, the galaxy tab 2 is in !
like @Lightracer say, android 6 is running well, android 7 is going to be good on this galaxy tab, an android 8 lite should run too
You know it'll move tasks from ram to cpu? More interesting seem to be a GoGapps Package which could help on None-Go Oreo builds.

I see that it is based on LineageOS but well you can not ask for more, you still have to finish it?

Hello, I recently bought a Nexus 5 Hammerhead from the second hand with installed Ubuntu Touch. Now I'd like to test Nethunter but I have no idea how to switch OS - all the tutorials and threads are about going from Android to NH, but what should I do if I want to move from UT? Is it necessary to install Android first?
Hello.
I am trying to install android on a Condeco V2 tablet. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance.
Device runs WinCE 7 OS, has probably a 32-bit SoC: modern Android OS versions require 64-bit SoC.

It is not WinCE 7, but it is android. Yes there are two versions of Windows and Android. I have one with android. The problem is that when I turn it on it immediately starts the base program and I want to have the usual android.
What is meant with base program ?
