Verizon Pixel bypass activation - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Hello I would like to buy a Verizon Google pixel Xl as far i know it's unlocked for any carrier but the problem is I live outside USA and I would like to know if I install a custom ROM I would still need the Verizon simcard to activate it? The Pixel I will buy is bootloader unlocked already

No, not even on stock. The phone is carrier unlocked (it's a matter of law in the US). It should work with any sim you put in it. If it doesn't, it's a problem with you're carrier, not the phone.

[Q] Carrier logo for stock rom

Hey i just want to know if there is a way to enable carrier logo on stock rom. If its possible via Xposed if no, then modding systemui (a tutorial please).
Thanks in advance.

If I understand correctly, you want it to say the name of your carrier in the notification shade and lock screen? Or do you want to remove it? Because Xposed can do some of this through gravity box.

The secret codes like the imei check (*#06#) and other codes doesn't work if i type the codes in the phone app.
Even flashed stock ROM in odin, same thing.
Using 5.1.1 btw.
Any ways to resolve this issue?

Custom roms does't allow that codes, neither on previous Galaxy S models, not only S6.

i haven't heard anyone saying this in the custom rom's threads and i thought i'm having some special issue... but if it's like you're saying i should flash the stock firmware and the codes work ?

The phone works fine. Just the codes.
hi guys! i have different problem with secret codes. on my S6 and S7 *#06# works fine, but other codes doesn't work. even when i made my app - my code doesn't work too. but when i had installed program from play market 'secret codes' and founded MY code in this app - select on them - my code works fine. i think problem in service listener or on phone caller application.
sorry for my bad english)
In the New Firmware it doesn't work. Try to downgrade your Firnware with Odin. And then the Codes will be working.
Regads: Gamer864443
Touchwiz doesn't allow those codes. To get to that stuff download "Hidden android settings" from the app store.

Download an app from the Google Play Store called "Secret Phone Info', it's made by Creative Collective, LLC.. After you downloaded it open it and tap "Hidden Menus" and then tap the very first 1 at the top called "Universal Menu" and then you'll be able to get into the phones settings to change that stuff but be careful what you do with it..

I only gave it so you could get into the setting to change the Internet nothing else on it works yet but the universal menu for now... root not required. You should be able to see this... "Set preferred network type"..

Marshmallow at first was bad on the battery I was only getting about 3 to 4 hours screen on time before I had to go and charge it again but I have since found out that if you do a full factory reset so there's nothing on the phone before accepting the update that it fixes the battery problems for some reason and right now I'm getting between 9 to 12 hours screen on time and the phone is a lot better now after disabling all the bloatware. You should be fine using Odin on Windows to flash the latest Marshmallow 6.0.1 version with no problems.

Make sure to make a backup first using Smart-Switch that you can download on Windows that way after you update you can reconnect to Windows and tap restore and it will put all your stuff back! Make sure you have the stock firmware for OJ3 too just in case! My guide here will give you an idea of what you have to do.

Hello, I have a serious problem.
I have installed the Revolution OS (formatting previously the corresponding, from a xiaomi.eu ROM), but the device does not advance, it is stuck in the splash screen.
Any suggestion, I can't get into the recovery.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I know, but I knew I'd get a much quicker response here.
Could you tell me how to use it? I've downloaded several programs, but none of them get me where I need to go.
Among them is the one you mention.
Thanks again.

Surely, but it needs a prepared ROM, I think you can only download from that software, even if you don't pay much attention to me, I'm not an expert.

Yes, some roms are packaged to be flashed directly from fastboot, some are packaged as a zip to be flashed from recovery.
