halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another rom:
Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
Although you usually can dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM has the same Android version, it is not guaranteed. In case of serious
crashes please do a clean flash.
You can dirty flash halogenOS 7 (Nougat) over halogenOS 6 (Marshmallow)
without any problems. Although we can't promise that it will work for you,
we can tell you that this has been tested. In fact, @xdvs23 did a dirty flash of
XOS 7 over XOS 6 and has no problems.
If you get app crashes after dirty flashing over XOS 6 or another ROM, please just
clear the app data of those apps, and it should work fine then.

Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.

organization and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to

with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as

How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.
How to install the ROM for the first time:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Wipe system, data and cache (If you want to try a dirty flash, dont wipe anything)
Flash the ROM
Flash gapps if you want

What kind of camera and the picture quality is, I can not right now install and try for yourself.

This looks very promising and I will be trying it out today. My problem with almost all Nougat ROMs is there's always something that's not quite perfect or reliable (I'm used to Sultan's reliable everything, particularly battery life).
Hopefully this can give me that! Coming from VertexOS.

Nice to see another CAF ROM on here, wish you the best.
Is sdcardfs disabled? Its known to cause issues.

Finally, i love your rom on op2 and now you do a version for op3

You fix it. Use the +-button in the upper right corner and create a new one. Apn may not be the he empty, just use any number, save it and voila.

I have save but is showing nothing. This is not my first time i set a apn lol.

Does this foment have OOS camera blobs and OOS camera app?

The OnePlus3 build has had to be pulled down temporarily due to regressions which went unnoticed during testing. A new build will soon be made available

What wil be procedure for installing?

Almost perfect...few details I would like to mention to improve.. 1 we can't see the APN settings 2. Video call option is their but whenever connected it force closed. 3 The screen flickering while on call..the rest I will say good

From cm 12.1 wiped data cache dalvik system
Installed this zip
No gapps flashed yet
My observation:
->Tap to wake causing problems - Disable it
->Boot loader charging screen not appearing after flashing.
->Trying volte to work. "APN setting not available for this user."
Mobile data working fine.
->First boot no gapps 600MB ram used by system very good
right?
->Minimal apps preloaded
->Preferred Network selection has lots of options- don't need to
type *#*#4636#*#* at dailer.

How to root this rom and how to install substratum, next update will come from dev or not? And one more thing the OTA update app is showing "The rom is not compatible with OTA updates. Plz contact your rom developer. This app requires custom rom where the developer has specifically enebled support. Do not rate star 1 bcz of this. This is not a fault". So how to fix all those stof?

VERY IMPORTANT: If you want to use root via SuperSU, make sure to use SuperSU 2.78 SR5 (or newer). Otherwise you won't be able to use sensors. You can also use Magisk and Phh's superuser if you desire to.

Flash SuperSU 2.78 SR5+ or Magisk)

Basic Instructions:​
Download ROM .zip file and MD5 file, and grab your favorite Open Gapps package http://opengapps.org
Reboot to Recovery (Note: Use Reboot to Recovery from Power Menu, Hardware-based boot to recovery, or adb reboot recovery - ROM Manager or similar software is NOT supported)
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses - We do not support flashing on CWM ---
The Oct-N ROM installation script will automatically wipe /system, /cache, and /dalvik-cache. There is no need to do these before or after flashing the ROM unless you are instructed to by your Gapps Provider. When dirty flashing weekly updates, you MUST reflash Gapps along with any other files, apps, custom mods or kernels etc.. (anything that resides in system partition)

Some Common term That You want To Know
Bugs:​Bugs happen. Our testers are very good at breaking things, but no where near as good as the rest of the Android public. In order to investigate and fix issues, we need the help of the users who are going to report them. The Android OS has many nifty features to help us in this, but only if we can engage the user to assist us.
Logs, Logcat, and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB):​Like any other OS, Android has multiple log files that are generated and record the goings-on of the system. As a user, you have two basic ways to view and pull these to send to us. Without the information in the logfiles, there simply is not a whole lot of information to go on.
Log file APKs:​Team OctOs recommends SysLog from the Android Market. This application will allow you to selectively pick any (or all) of the system logs, compress them into a .ZIP file, and allow you to save, email, move to your Copy/DropBox/Cloud Storage account, etc.
ADB Logcat:​The Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) is a powerful tool available from Google as part of the Android Software Development Kit (SDK). Used for many things, being able to selectively see, in real-time, what your device is doing cannot be downplayed. While there is more setup involved, if you are doing consistent ROM flashing, you really should invest the time to get setup properly to do it.

Frequently Asked Questions:​Q: Is this Android 7 (Nougat)?
A: Yes, this is Android 7.1.2
Q: What code is Oct-N based on?
A: This version of Oct-N is based on LineageOS 14.1
Q: Why isn't there XYZ feature?
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But all the others have..
A: ROM developers, build something they want to use. The ROM developer that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't include (or don't want to include), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Oct-N.
Q: What about root?
A: Root is removed by default (user will be able to flash which ever root zip they want)

RULES OF POSTING : READ everything before commenting, And especially the instlal steps, the rom has been tested throughly for a long time, so if you have an critical issue like not booting or no sim, you missed the instructions, posts that are irrelevant to this project will be ignored(Constructive criticism is welcomed). If you do face a new bug however, dont just say "hey bug here" provide more information, and a LOGCAT, bug reports without logcats will most likely be ignored.

STEPS TO INSTALL
[*]ensure you have LATEST TWRP
[*]Download and copy the ROM to your device external SDcard (preferred)
[*]Wipe everything (SYSTEM,DATA,CACHE,DALVIK and preferably Internal storage all together)
[*]Flash the ROM.ZIP
[*]After the boot animation is on for 15~20 Seconds. Hold VolumeDown+power until the device reboots
[*]Setup your rom and READ the F.A.Q for more information.
[*]To Root, Flash the latest Magisk Canary Build after a successful Boot
