Update revert - Samsung Gear S3

So, got the S3 US version yesterday. Noticed an update for it today and it updated to firmware ending in BQC5. I'm experiencing faster battery drain and now can no longer reply via voice to texts.
I'm looking to revert using Odin but have not really found any info in depth in the other sub forums. I believe I'm looking for firmware APK6 to APK7.
Anyone with any info or some insight to help? I essentially want to put this bank to stock.

[Q] Never installed OTA update in Sept/Oct, phone no longer getting texts..

Obviously, I've got an issue on my hands.
Let me start by saying my Captivate has been unlocked. I remember buying my captivate after it'd probably been out a week and had updated it on here with an update.zip that I downloaded. That had rooted the phone pretty early on. I had saved the old phone data/backed it up, but I can no longer find where I saved it
In any case, I need to update the phone one way or another to see if that will resolve the issue. What would be the best way to go about this?
Here's some info that I feel I should add that is relevant:
If I power cycle the phone, I get a message that says no update was applied to the phone.
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband Version: i897UCJH7
You already has the latest update JH7, at least according to what your info indicates.
What issue do you have?

I think so too, but I keep getting the message that the update wasn't applied every so often. I'm not too concerned, since my phone's not downloaded it recently and tried installing it lol

not getting any MMS/SMS. The last time it did this, it eventually 'fixed' itself and I got a flood of texts all at once. However, it's again stopped.
I read awhile back that google's been having some messaging issues with Android, and I think this might be my case . All other service works fine (Data, voice, GPS)

Tizen Mod 3.0 - Back to Stock?

Can't seem to find the stock firmware for US version gear 2. I go to sammobile and I don't see the US listed. Which version from which country do I download the firmware?
Trying to remove Tizen MOD 3.0 and go back to stock.

i thought that going back to stock would help the awful battery life i had on tizen mod.....i was wrong. the battery life is still just as god awful with stock. i get home after a day of work and i'm at like 35%. 3 days my ass.
anyway, you use the UK version
www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/33371/R380XXU0BNE5_R380OXA0BNE5_BTU.zip/
that's the NE5 version.
Thanks! It was the same reason I went to Tizen Mod 3. It took a complete Odin back to stock firmware on the Note 3 and a few Factory resets on the Gear to get back to original battery life. (Gear would usually last me a while day with about 75% left... 8am-7pm) give or take a few %.
Reason I'm going back to Stock is because S-Voice will not connect.
@jayochs I saw that there was NL2 for UK and flashed that since it was a newer version. Hopefully this will make S-Voice work again...Maybe with battery improvements?
Cellular South is the US version.
is NL2 rooted yet though? that's why I didn't flash it. I wish I had better battery life.

My battery life is great. It uses about 15% per day. Now, I turn it off at night while sleeping and do not run any battery-hungry apps. I learned early that some themes/apps, while cool, ate so much battery that they were not worth keeping. If you are having short battery life, you may want to examine your apps to see if one or more is the culprit.
Hello everyone
I need help,

New Update?

I am in the US on an unlocked S7 G930U.
Earlier this week I received notice of a Software Update.
I am always hesitant to install these updates until I know what they are and see what people are saying about their performance.
I havent seen anything about this here (am I missing it somewhere) although on GSMArena there is a scary sounding thread with people installing a recent update and having major battery issues.
Is there anyway to see what this update is before it gets installed? Any ideas? Thanks.
BTW - the update is ~452MB.

I'm kind of new here, but after reading up on the Samsung support forums apparently G930U will only be receiving quarterly security updates so this update is all of the regular updates the carrier versions have received since September rolled up into 1 large package. It's still 6.0.1, and so far, I haven't seen any adverse effects (although I'm not rooted, so no clue if it effects anything along the lines of the boot loader) Also, during my internet search on what this update was, I came across this site that lists out the firmware (and Android level) of every release for a Samsung product, which confirmed not the nougat update. - can't make a real link since I'm new to posting on XDA, so search Google for "live-samsung updates"
Hope that helps!

I updated my G930U and have had no issues. Took it off the charger this morning at 8am, it's now nearly 1pm and battery is at 97%. Obviously I haven't used it much but there's certainly no unusual standby battery issue so far.

New firmware BQG1

Anyone else get an update yesterday?
Yes, got it on mine last night. No clue what it supposedly does yet. Probably just the July security update.
The update notes said it fixed something with corporate email performance and integrated typical android security updates....took it today, i dont notice anything new.
I cannot install the update on any of my rooted phones (which isn't a huge surprise to me). However, the update has been out for a few days, and I haven't seen anything about the update here on the forum until today. I'm hoping someone posts an update method for those of us with rooted phones.
Does anyone know can we use BT firmware from S6 onto S7? I have problem connecting my car hands free system, thought no such problem with S6
BQG1 improves network speed.

Got the BQG1 update on 7/29 and after stabilizing for an hour ran speed test via WiFi. I had noticed a drop to around 140Mbps on my Comcast service with the last update and couldn't figure out why. With BQG1, my downlaod speed is back up to 230Mbps and running very smooth. Don't know what VZ did, bit it works!
Hope that helps.

I wanted to give a quick update.
Following suggestions I found on a few threads here, I went ahead and updated all three of my rooted phones to firmware QH1 on Friday, and they are all still rooted.
I used ODIN to re-flash the stock firmware (using HOME-CSC to keep my apps and settings intact. I downloaded the firmware from one of the links I found here on XDA.
I then re-rooted using the procedure in the OP.
I had two issues (that I can think of):
1. A few of the settings (lock screen settings, specifically - maybe one or two others?) were cleared in the process - and I had to set them up again.
2. One of the phone (the one *I* use, of course), rooted okay, but SuperSU was missing after the reboot. Installing it from the Play store appeared to break root. So I just re-rooted it again.
Other than those issues, I think everything else went pretty smoothly.
I hope this is helpful to others.

Looking for Firmware

I'm looking for the US versions of the firmware for the WiFi (non-carrier) SM-760. Finding a chronological history of updates seems next to impossible.
I'd like to try the 3.0.0.2 firmware for the that came BEFORE the R760XXU2ESF2/R7600XA2ESF2 version. that killed my watch, but would be willing to try any previous versions if it'll get my watch working again.
I see the thread by @deadman96385 with firmware for all variants, but the SM-760 version says it's for Canada. Not sure if there's a difference or if or how that might affect me in the U.S.
Any advice from someone who has flashed using NetOdin would be appreciated. (Any issues? Like does Samsung Pay / MST still work after flashing?)
Thanks!
I have a sensor issue and after I did the update they all worked after I did a shut down they are back to nor working and I was looking for that firmware too but it seems like it's not out there.
