If you enter the pattern incorrectly too many times, you'll get the option to unlock using your gmail account.
Thats if Xaomi didn't mess with it.

If you do it correctly you won't lose your data but rooting and flashing TWRP will void your warranty, but there is way to fix that too, all you have to do after you get device unlocked is unroot the device then flash stock recovery over TWRP and you'll won't lose your warranty.

When you root, it will require installing the SuperSU app on your device, to unroot, open SuperSU app, then open its app settings, on its settings you'll see an option that says something like "cleanup for unroot and uninstall", this option will remove the su binaries from your system partition and uninstall the SuperSU app, then you'll be unrooted.
Then you just flash a copy of stock recovery to replace TWRP and you'll be back on full stock without root and warranty intact.

You also might not need root or TWRP, some devices can use adb without them.

1) keep trying everything you can
2) give up trying
3) pay a technician to do it for you, there's no guarantee you'll get any of your data back.

Good work. It just makes onr think now easy it is to by pass security. Does this work on none rooted stock recovery? Is there any points of using password if it does. Anyway good work.

Looks like it uses busybox in the script so I don't think it would work on a system without it. Which is most non rooted environment.

Can you give me logic why it needs and where you find busybox in my script?
I do believe it should work on non rooted device too(though i didn't test on non rooted), provided you have CWM. naturally it needs CWM to flash zip.

Then why you not simply remove busybox, unroot and try to run script rather than making speculative statement.
You can ask here too. Indeed it should work without busybox and even root.
this will work with my tab 2 .10.1
my tab not root and have stock rom
You should have CWM installed to use this.
I have not tested but i don't think it may cause issue, as it just removes some files. if path on your device is different then it should not do anything, and if path is same as note2 then it will work.

I had tried almost every script to bypass lockscreen on my Note 2 (for testing purpose) but nothing showed the desired result. And today, I gave a shot to this script and it worked like a charm. Thank you dr.ketan for your efforts (Thank you pressed already ).
I'm now in India, trying to help a friend. His brother got locked out of the pattern lock, and I spent the past many hours searching for a way to correct it. I ended up on xda-deveopers, but posted in the developer's area by mistake. Between what I found elsewhere (not much), and in the discussion I posted here, everything eventually pointed to you, and this discussion. Thanks for sorting it out!!!!
The phone I am trying to fix is a Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102. From what I have read so far, I think your procedure should work on this phone. Any special considerations?
One last question. I've been coming to xda-developers for the past half year, but haven't yet actually tried to root any device, followed by installing any custom ROMs. I do intend to start doing this, but planned to do so on my own device, so if anything goes wrong, nobody else will be upset at/with me. Are there any discussions in xda-developers that will better help me understand how to do the things you mention? I think for most people here, all this is "simple stuff", but for me it's all new and unknown.
I've downloaded your attached zip file. Is there anything else I should download while I still have good internet access? Once I leave for my friend's home, the only tools I'll have access to are a new Windows-8 laptop, and a plug in device with a slow data card.
Thanks again, and I've already clicked on the <thanks> button.
I have not access to device you mentioned, but what I have seem on samsung most of device it remains seen. Though this script don't do anything other than removing files which having information about PW/key. So in fact location is different on your device this shouldn't do anything other than fail to unlock.
You need to get CWM for your device to run this script. It shouldn't difficult if you search on your device forum.

You have set a lock PIN/PATTERN? Other than that, the only time I've seen that message is when I've changed something in stock. Systemless root won't allow Android Pay for me even after uninstall. It definitely sounds like some file/s got corrupted. After trying a cache wipe, I can only suggest re-installing the OS which requires an unlocked bootloader or doing a factory reset. Both unlock and reset will wipe your device.

As far as I know, you can't unless you already have an unlocked bootloader. There are ways to run back-ups, but I've never used them. Carbon, Easy Backup & Restore, and My Backup Pro have good reviews. Can you set up adb from a computer?

The cellular network won't start after root.

Hello guys, i have an oneplus one for a month or two and yesterday i rooted it using Kingroot *i haven't unlocked the bootloader or something like this, just pressed root and waited* , i have busybox , lucky patcher things like this nothing special. Since then my cellular network won't start. Is the only solution to unroot or even maybe reset the phone to the factory settings? I would preffer not to.

Edit: he asked me if i re-softed my phone and told me to do a factory reboot if the sim is good.

Your best bet is to unlock bootloader, wipe system and reflash your ROM (with custom recovery) , there are COS signed flashable zips in General Section. Unlocking bootloader if you've never done it before wipes the phone so backup your data to a PC and keep it unlocked, it doesn't void your warranty and it makes troubleshooting issues much easier. Factory reset of the phone WILL NOT remove root.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Well i already unrooted it and deleted everything.I'm afraid to unlock the bootloader because i have never done something like this, my biggest experience with androids software is to root them with android apps . Would you recommend me to re-soft it to cm 13 official build or to factory reset it? I'll look for a tutorial for the bootloader and do my best.
Oh, and by the way, if i clear it unlock the bootloader etc and i can't fix the problem what should i do?
I'm a newbie so probably what i'm asking is stupid, but isn't there any chance that the bootloader is unlocked? I can enter it idk..
Check you APN settings , erase them and rewrite them. Root does not affect network. And i don't see how you would be able to switch ROMs if you don't unlock your bootloader...
thats why i said that i will unlock the bootloader. and i did the apn checking with a pro from the orange *my provider* and nothing, he even changed my settings from their system. It has too be from the root , i used the cellular to download the apps for the root, then rooted it rebooted and no more cellular.
Oh and i have another reason to think its from the root because after i rooted the phone some apps started to fall down. Apex launcher for example.

Seriously go do some major reading cause you seem to know nothing and despite having issues with your phone since recently have made zero effort to use the stickies and guides in General section as well as this section where you posted this question. The information you need to learn is all over. Flashing the factory image needs an unlocked bootloader last I checked (might be wrong) and you have to do it via fastboot. There are stickies for OPO you just have to click and read or even go to YouTube lots of people have provided step by step guides.
It will not void your warranty, neither will unlocking your bootloader void your warranty on this phone.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
First you have to unlock your bootloader
Then flash firmware , now you can get your network working, if you want flash twrp recovery and root with SuperSU. Or just flash twrp recovery and flash cm13 ROM.
DON'T USE KINGROOT LIKE ONE CLICK ROOTS , AS THEY WERE WORKING UPTO KITKAT ONLY. SINCE LOLLIPOP YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK BOOT LOADER AND FLASH RECOVERY AND SUPERSU FOR ROOT.READ WHATEVER YOU NEED IN OPO XDA FORUM . IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSS YOUR DATA COPY YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE TO PC AND BACKUP CONTACTS ETC TO YOUR EMAIL ID, THEN YOU WILL NEVER LOSS ANYTHING. ME TOO AFRAID OF ROOTING BUT I ROOTED 6 DEVICES IN PAST 8 MONTHS , NEVER LOOSE MY DATA EVERYTHING. STICK WITH XDA AND.....
WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD.
OK guys, thanks.
I have solved the problem with manudroid19's toolkit, thanks for your help guys.
Off-topic: Do you know what is the error 2 on twrp? i didn't find it on google, i get it when i try to flash gapps on cm13.*i try to do this because not even 1 google apps work and i gave them all the permissions.I deleted cache data etc, rebooted a few times*

Can't install TWRP Samsung J320FN frp locked

Samsung J320fn is FRP locked. Can access download menu (but not recovery - that just displays frp locked). Using Odin I have tried several versions of TWRP for this particular phone and all fail - I assume because of the lock.
So I am stuck it seems. I thought of putting TWRP onto a microSD in the phone but that is no good as the phone won't boot.
Any suggestions please?

If not, flash your stock firmware.
To get passed FRP, you need to get into system and remove the Google account that is on the device, then FRP shouldn't be a problem.

Flashing stock firmware does not require TWRP. All you need is a PC, Odin, the Samsung drivers, the stock firmware for your device, a USB cable and a charged battery in the device.
If your device has a locked bootloader, you won't ever get TWRP to flash correctly.
Stop focusing on getting TWRP installed, focus on repairing the device the way it is supposed to be.

Yeah, it helps to eliminate hardware causes before posting as if you are having a software or flashing issue.
A faulty cable during a flashing process can completely brick your device, get a better cable.

If that is the case, you are posting in the wrong thread, you aren't having trouble installing TWRP, you are dealing with being FRP locked.
The XDA rules prevent us from helping you remove the FRP block. You'll have to get help with that somewhere else or figure it out on your. This rule exists because the methods to bypass FRP can be used to unlock stolen/lost devices. Even if your situation is legitimate, if we help you find a way to bypass FRP, the information/help we give you can be used by someone to unlock/access a device that does not belong to them. We avoid posting information that can be used in the wrong way by the wrong people.
