Hi, anybody know if theres any csc/multi csc that is unbranded and not part of the OXM big multi CSC?
Ive downloaded several firmwares from sammobile to try to find a unbranded firmware not "european" for the g955f and not inside the OXM, i would like to try a latinamerican unbranded firmware but it seems they r all inside the european OXM and the ones r not have all the carrier crap (splash screens and uninstalable bloatware).
Why do you want one that isn't in OXM?
I want a non OXM cause several things like bixby news and samsung members stuff sometimes appears in german and i can barely speak english lol, thats why i was looking for a latinamerica unbranded firmware but all unbrands like ARO or ZTO r inside this european multi csc so i always get OXM as default csc and i want a default english/spanish unbranded csc.
SOLVED: if anyone interested i used BVO (Bolivia) CSC and now evething is ok.

Hey guys!
I have an unlocked Note Edge (N915G) that I think was originally from StarHub because the CSC is currently STH. I want to change to XSP which from what I've read is the unbranded stock ROM for that region.
My issue is that after trying multiple times with procedures from multiple threads here in XDA and on some other forums, I can't seem to change my CSC.
I have the lastest XSP firmware from SamMobile and the latest Odin.
Does anyone have a sure way of changing CSC without root?
I'd really appreciate the help...
Thanks!
A little help please...

Both STH and XSP exist in the multi-CSC firmware OLB.
I doubt you can't change the CSC without rooting.
Damn! That's what I was afraid of...
Is there any way to make the firmware single CSC?

BTU is there now..
Does anyone have a mega link? I'm cheap and only have free access to sammobile :fingers-crossed:
Which odin are people using to flash firmwares.
Warning
OFFICIAL STOCK Firmware-update (Odin) thread Samsung GALAXY S8+ SM-G955F
Be advised, that BTU is now part of the Multi-CSC OXM
OXM has a lot of CSC's included! If you want to change i.e. fm Vodafone-firmware to BTU, the possibility is very high you won't get the BTU CSC but the 1st CSC in the package of OXM, which is AFR
I use Odin 3.12.3

Did you download the BTU from sammobile and flash as per the secure pin instructions? Is it luck that you got XEU from the flash or likely to do the same on my Vodafone model also? Thanks.

I didn't follow the secure pin instructions. I used the program SamFirm and downloaded the BTU rom which had the Multi-CSC, my firmware was Vodafone branded and had the Vodafone VOD CSC.
Once I used the correct Odin and flashed the BTU rom I reset the phone in the settings and then I had the XEU CSC which is the correct CSC for Ireland and the UK.

Thank you. I flashed and now have build number NRD90M.G955FXXU1AQDD
Service provider software XEU/XEU/VOD
Is this UK/IRL XEU or still Vodafone UK firmware?
Excuse my ignorance, what is BTU? I am with O2, what benefit do we get from flashing BTU, no bloat apps?
Also I haven't yet accepted any updates, if we do, and realize for example we want to Re-map the Bixby button can we backtrack with this Firmware?
So doing this did not trip Knox ?

Stock firmwares will never trip KNOX.
I received a dual sim S8+ model SM-G955FD (CSC XXV) that somehow was flashed with an Italian (CSC-ITV) SM-G955F single-sim ROM ..
It works fine, even dual-sim functionality, so on itself no real issue. Even a recent OTA update went fine and did not break anything.
But I would like to flash it back to the original SM-G955FD rom for XXV. I have downloaded the proper file and flashed everything via Odin (AP, BL, CSC, CP) but somehow it now has become a SM-G955F (CSC-PHN) ..
Am getting a bit confused now .. How do I get the sodded thing back to its original CSC with Odin? The S8+ is not rooted, and Knox is not tripped.
Any help would be welcome

I'll try to explain in a simple way...
That your CSC now is PHN is CORRECT!
Since introduction of the Note 7, Samsung is using for most European countries (and some other countries) the Multi-CSC OXM.
In The Multi-CSC OXM, these CSC's are included:
ACR AFG AFR ARO ATO AUT BGL BNG BRI BTC BTU CAC CAM CHO COO DBT DKR ECT EGY EON ETL EUR GLB ILO INS ITV KSA LAO LUX LYS MID MM1 MWD MYM NEE NPL ORX PAK PHE PHN ROM SEB SEE SEK SER SIN SKZ SLK SMA STH THL THR TMC TPA TPH TTT TUN TUR WTL XEF XEH XEO XEU XFA XFE XME XSG XSP XTC XXV ZTO
As you can see, PHN & XXV (original CSC of your device) are BOTH included in the Multi-CSC OXM
Because you flashed the firmware with CSC_OXM (NOT HOME_CSC_OXM) your device was resetted. The initial set-up sees, that your SIM-card is NOT from Vietnam (XXV) so it'll use the best CSC for your SIM-card, in this case PHN.
When you have a look at the "Softwaregegevens"-screen, scroll down to "Software serviceprovider" you probably see "PHN/PHN/XXV" which is CORRECT! (The last XXV can't be changed, because this is the product-code of your device).
Because your device is using the "correct" CSC-file now (PHN), probably VoLTE & VoWiFi (when available) will work now too, as well as "NL Alert"...
You'll also (probably) receive automatically OTA-updates...
I hope, this made it some clear to you...
PS: the SM-G955FD will be released in The Netherlands too
PS2: the ROM's for the SM-G955F & SM-G955FD models are the same
Thanks for the clarification ... There is however one strange thing that remains unexplained. Phone Info identifies my phone as a SM-G955F, not a SM-G955FD ... is that perhaps because Phone Info is not able to correctly read out the phone details?

Correct...
Phone Info doesn't read the correct CSC information also...
I hope I'm allowed to piggy back this thread for a quick question relating to this.
I have the XXV dual Sim. And VMC is the CSC I need to use. I had to install it via twrp and works great.
But how do I figure out which one to flash from Odin? I'd like to see which one it'll pick closest relating to my Sim card. XAC is the Canadian but it's not included in the multi.
Can you help clarify this for me? I'm starting to understand this.
Similar question for me. Is there a way to install Canadian (Fido) CSC on an unrooted stock SMG955FD. Knox is important to me but so is wifi calling.
Help please.
thanks.

Today I tried switching my s8+ which is an Italian unlocked model (ITV) to a United Kingdom unlocked firmware (BTU). I followed all the steps as this is not my first time flashing firmwares with Odin. I found a thread online saying that since BTU is a multi CSC , I need to flash a ROM that's is outside the multi CSC , so I decided to flash a O2 ROM , straight after flashing the BTU hoping that it would change the CSC , but it didn't instead it stood on ITV, the country/region is still on Italy too. Can anyone explain what I done wrong pls ?
Why do you even care about csc ? Install rom for your coutry "global", not branded soft and that's all...
BTU is not branded, it's unlocked with no carrier. Updates are also provided directly from Samsung. I would like to change the ROM for faster updates and features

So according to what I read it's impossible to change the CSC to BTU on the Galaxy s8 unless you have a UK Sim. This used to be possible on the s7.

But NOT possible anymore on the S8/S8+
ITV & BTU are both part in OXM. When you flash BTU-ROM, your device will stay ITV because both are in OXM...

Yes, S7 didn't use the multi-CSC, each region had it's own CSC.
But the Euro S8 has Multi-CSC, so it won't change region until you put in a SIM from that new region.
Thanks guys for helping. I just wanted to change the CSC for quicker updates and for region specific features like Bixby Voice when it gets released in the UK.

TGY is Hong kong. You are only allowed to flash TGY or BRI (Taiwan) on N9750.

I haven't used it, but an app called Samkey apparently will let you change csc without root.....from what i gather, it is Not a free app.....look into it to get more info.
Sent from my God Mode 10+
Hi,
I have a N9750, according to Phone Info App:
Phone Model: SM-N9750 / Galaxy Note10+ (Dual Sim)
Made in Vietnam
Product Code: SM-N9750ZSDBRI
Frimware's CSC Code: TGY
Active CSC Code: BRI
Available CSC Codes: BRI, TGY
So, I understand that I have a BRI phone with a TGY rom and a the CSC active is from BRI.
I will do a clean flash with Odin, since my phone upgraded from Android 9 to 10, by OTA (that is why there is "mixed rom" - a BRI unit with TGY firm)
My doubts are:
1) Should I use BRI rom, is that correct?
2) After doing this flash. is better to change CSC Active to TGY? Using SamKey (someone says that it has more features)
I use the mobile in Argentina.
thanks!
